Ashford University Reviews - Bachelor's inSee reviews of all programs at Ashford University
I'm graduating from Ashford in 9 weeks and I can say that Ashford ha been a difficult but fulfilling experience. I have worked on my course many times well into the night - but the support from the school (teachers, tutors, etc.) has been great. Yes, it is expensive, and it is not for everyone; but again, my experience has been great. Issues that others experience with enrollment, financial aid, etc - are many times caused by that student not following through as I have never had such issues and everyone involved from the school has been very responsive. I believe I only had one issue with an instructor - but it was resolved quickly and without further issues with guidance from my academic adviser. Ashford is worth the work,
Peace/blessings! I received my Bachelors/Masters degree from Ashford in 2014/2016 respectively. Both of my degrees were online. Personally I do not understand those making negative remarks about Ashford. My experience was remarkable and rewarding, to say the least. Whenever there was a problem it was handled in the swiftest of time. My degrees have allowed me to relocate to China in Nov. 2015 to teach in English. As I write this message I am still in China teaching. My Ashford education has enhanced my teaching profession and I'm currently 14 months from my Doctoral Degree, not from Ashford. I wish Ashford did offer Ph.D's. Nevertheless my education at Ashford has opened many doors and broaden my perspective on life and learning. Thank you Ashford! ASHFORD RULES!!!!
Like every university in the US they are focused on making money. I would like to address the QUALITY of classes and teacher. Very strict on plagiarism, classes are tough and teachers are very demanding. It's a lot of work, requiring you to always work on material, manageable unless you reach the last year, when you are mentally exhausted. teachers are very quick in answering your demands, questions, etc, and the office staff is decently reachable. I am thinking to start my master degree at Ashford.
Listen to this review. I got my breakthrough at Ashford University. The school is reliable but expensive. There is a lot of work that is required, but most of it is writing. Ashford is an equal opportunity school. Meaning it generally lets anyone attend that applies. The real issue is that most of the negative posts are from people that should not be going to college in the first place. The students that post negative comments holistically cant fulfill the rigorous standards and are upset when they have to return their precious government funds. Remember that this University is regionally accredited which is the gold standard in academia. I am now enrolled in ta graduate program through a respected University. Thanks again to Ashford University.
I earned my Bachelor's in Business Administration from Ashford in 2017. I am now pursuing my Masters in Business Administration through Ashford. It was hard work, and required effort and motivation on my part. After earning my degree I am making more money then I ever have in my life. It's about the work YOU put into it, and what YOU do with your degree afterwards. I love this school and would recommend it to anyone. Throughout my program I talked to several different advisors, but they were all AWESOME and truly cared about my success.
I attended on campus classes at my local state University the first three years of my college education and completed my degree program online through Ashford University. My experience with Ashford was just as positive, challenging, and educational as any of my on campus courses. The primary difference was the opportunity to better balance full-time work, family and educational endeavors. I wish everyone success as you strive to complete your degree at Ashford University.
I will the first to admit I have attended many colleges due to breaks , change in majors , and personal preferences. However, when I came across Ashford I knew from the initial phone call that I would enjoy Ashford University . I did not ever feel pressure to enroll like other online college programs that have a history of being a bit aggressive. The staff was incredible , I never had an issue trying to get a hold of a staff or faculty member. The forums were organized and clear which make the program feasible to complete. I would of continued my education at Ashford after receiving my BA but Ashford unfortunately does not offer a MSW program.
The journey to my bachelor degrees was anything but conventional. I started right out of high school and went to the traditional university setting. But I was not at a place in during that time to take my education seriously. It was not until years later that I realized that my education was extremely important and started looking for a school that would meld well with my life. Since my spouse is an active duty soldier in the Army, going to a traditional school was not plausible. So I began researching a strictly online program. I happen to run into Ashford University and as I did more research, I was really impressed with how their program was designed. It was set up that you could do one class every 5 weeks and they offered tuition assistance to military spouses which was so helpful financially. But the program for Political Science and Government was intriguing and pushed my ability to a point that was eye opening. There was very little memorize and recite in each of the courses, as most of what was taught was absorbed by applying the knowledge and using real life circumstances. And when "life" happened, the faculty and staff at Ashford University was willing to help me out. You could really feel that my success was super important to them as well! So to say the least, Ashford was a great fit for me and I would venture to bet that those students that are looking to balance a career and education would find it as beneficial as I did.
Attending Ashford University online was an overall great experience for me. I was able to complete my BA in Early Childhood Education while working full-time and caring for my family. The online forum is very user friendly and provides many different learning tools for students to utilize to gain a better understanding of the subject matter. The faculty at Ashford was very helpful and had a fast response time whenever I needed to reach out to them.
I have been enrolled at Ashford since Jan 2016 (It was my new years resolution). Attending Ashford has been one of the best experiences that I've had. I am a mother of 2 kids, a wife, and a full time employee. AU has given me all the tools that I need to be successful. The teachers are always helpful, some of them will give you their phone # so they can speak to you about any issues that you may have with an assignment. In the beginning (the first year) the advisors checked on me just to make sure I was doing OK in my classes. My GPA is a 3.90, and I worked hard for it. Nothing in life is easy, so you have to be engaged in the discussion board, read your chapters (or you can download the book, so you can listen to the audio), and start your papers early so you don't have to rush through it. Enrolling in Ashford was the best, I chose to invest in my future, and you should too! If you are a serious student, then stop thinking about it and just do it. I am looking forward to walking down that aisle to receive my degree :)
