"The school structure definitely needs some work. I had one of the worst experiences just with registration at this school. I was paired up with an academic advisor who made the process even worst. As a mother of 3 kids I couldn't stay on the phone for hours end to chat about the process when she could of simply had me do the paperwork. She wouldn't move my start date until she talked to me about it even though I went and spoke to her manager on the phone and sent several emails. I didn't feel comforable starting when my aid hasn't went through yet or my transcripts. Our timezones and schedules were very conflicting. But I do believe in blessings because of this issue i researched other schools I ended up going to Grand Canyon. They're running a scholarship program to make my tuition more affordable also the degree program is alot better for what my career goals are. I decided a bachelor in arts isn't for me I would rather have a bachelor in science in psychology with a focus on mental health. They're not the only school that does one class at a time. Grand Canyon also offers 1 class at a time as well, with options to move up after a few classes. They're soon merging into University of Arizona so I don't know how this will impact the school. So definitely do some researching before going to Ashford University."

"Ashford University was a fantastic school option. As a military member, Ashford University was able to be flexible with my schedule, able to accept my Tuition Assistance, as well as offered military grants and support networks for veterans. They offer accelerated classes, only five weeks long. This made achieving my bachelor's quicker, easier, and overall great experience. The advisors were fantastic and very knowledgeable. I have no complaints about any of the professors. Every professor was knowledgeable in the course they were teaching, very helpful, accommodating, and easily reachable. I was able to contact my instructors easily and always received a timely, respectful, and helpful response. Since leaving Ashford, the university has been active in trying to recruit me to further my education, they have been very active in notifying me of scholarship and grant options, as well as enabling networking and connecting. Although all my courses were online, I feel such a sense of community and connectedness with my peers. I feel prepared and excited to take on the next step of my career and begin utilizing the information I learned from Ashford University and its staff. Although I did not choose to continue my education with Ashford, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to further their education and gain knowledge in any field. Especially those in the Armed Forces, as Ashford will go above and beyond to ensure you can receive a proper education and skill by the time you complete your degree. I feel better prepared to take on my next step in my education because of Ashford University."

"The online program with Ashford university is an exceptional program. The school offers a wide range of staff to support you during your academic pursuits as well as tutor services and writing services to help with papers. The portal is simple to use and the classroom setting is just as easy. Some of the teachers are not great with feedback or rapid responding, however the vast majority of my teachers have been exceptional. They worked with me when I was going through personal stuff and was unable to attend school and have helped to keep me on track. I receive my bachelors degree there and I am currently enrolled in my masters degree program. I have also encourage my sister to enroll and she is working on her bachelors degree as well."

"I had a great experience at Ashford University. I was able to go online which was so helpful. At the time I had a toddler and two teens therefore, being able to attend school online was a life saver. I was a real estate agent and when the market crashed I went back to school. My husband and I lost three homes, so I decided I needed to go back to school in 2009 to get another profession. I received my BA in psychology from Ashford University in 2013. It was a wonderful experience. It helped me to understand people and life so much more. I grew up in a domestic violent home so all the classes in psychology really helped me understand why things happen and how it affects people. Studying famous psychologist such as Freud, Albert Bandra, Jean Piaget, Ivan Palov, Erik Erickson, Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, and BF Skinner was amazing. BF Skinner created the skinner box using operant conditioning which influenced Behaviorism and led to Ivar Lovaas and Robert Koegel creating Applied Behavior Analysis. I will be taking ABA at Arizona State University. Psychology is a great degree to get, because it applies to so many different aspects. I went back to school after finishing my BA and earned my masters degree in special education. Psychology and special education go great to study together. It was perfect that I studied psychology prior, because it really helped me grasp a lot of the concepts in special education."

"I was enrolled at Ashford about 3 years ago. I enjoyed my experience up until the day I had to have emergency surgery. They decided to drop me from my class and then proceeded to charge me about $2000, to reenroll me in it without my permission. I had a hard time at this point with pain medication and always being tired. I had three kids on top of school and managed to get all b's in my classes up to this point. Now that i am ready to reenter school and have found one that will work for me they have decided to hold onto my transcript and make it so that i can not used the credits i earned from them. I never asked to be dropped then re-enrolled. and when i talked to them about it they acted like they understood. They are a rip off and i am working to get their accreditation taken away from them."

"Like every university in the US they are focused on making money. I would like to address the QUALITY of classes and teacher. Very strict on plagiarism, classes are tough and teachers are very demanding. It's a lot of work, requiring you to always work on material, manageable unless you reach the last year, when you are mentally exhausted. teachers are very quick in answering your demands, questions, etc, and the office staff is decently reachable. I am thinking to start my master degree at Ashford."

"I finished my bachelor's and master's with this school, and next month I am starting on my second masters. I've been completely happy with my experience here. There have been a few minor annoyances, like a few teachers (out of about 40 that I've had) that were not great, and I thought the initial enrollment process was excessive. But it was totally worth it and most of the teachers are awesome. The work is challenging but not stressful. There has never been a problem with my financing in my five plus years with the school, and the advisers are extremely competent and helpful. I don't understand the reviews saying there are financing problems because that's the opposite of my experience. If you read the negative reviews closely, you'll see that most of them are written by people who haven't grasped basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and really just don't belong in college. This is why they are having bad experiences. It is not a reflection of the quality of the school. My bachelors degree from this school literally doubled my income."

"I love Ashford University. This is my second degree earned here. The late night researching material, reviewing course documents, and typing long essays finally paid off. I complained a lot to family and friends because seem like I always had school work. The classes are challenging but rewarding and class interaction was a plus. I met some great people. I appreciate the advisors I worked with and some of the instructors provided great feedback and guidance. I think overall I had one instructor that was not good at responding. I would recommend this school t anyone. Keep in mind with any online school YOU have to be self motivated to advance yourself and do the research and reading the material provided. You get what you put in it. Good luck to all."

"DO NOT GO TO ASHFORD! Not only will you be accepted and start classes but soon after you will be required to prove 19-20 documents proving who you are and then when they dont feel you sent them in on time you will be pulled from any completed classes you may have gotten through, your credits erased and you have to start all over again! This school is a joke! now im stuck in it! I filed my fafsa again this yer and have to go through another 19-20 documents to prove to the college who i am! and now im 18 credits in and at risk of having it all erased! and having to pay for it at my own expense. its a rip off please save yourself the time and hassle. i go to school online bc i am disabled and cant make it out of the house and now have to try and find a way to have papers notarized and sent in when i am house bound and all the staff does is say oh well... its a waste dont bother go to another school one that isnt getting sued left and right because im completely out of luck now!"

"This college charged me for classes I was not enrolled in and they also changed my grade for classes I took. I wish that I had printed my information instead of trusting this school. My problem now is that I have a 10,000. dollar loan that this school has turned in and is on my credit. They are also taking my income tax for this loan that I should not have to owe. If I would have known about the lawsuit that was taking place I would have added my name to the list. So with all of this said I believe if they would clear my loan and dismiss it I would remove all of my comments that are negative against this college."
