"I loved everything about Ashford University! I was really nervous to be going back to school after taking an eighteen-year hiatus to raise my daughter. I was also working part-time and didn't know if I'd be able to manage it all. As it turns out, I excelled! I ended up graduating Summa Cum Laude in English and in Cultural Anthropology. I finished two bachelor's degrees in just four years! The teachers were great. The classwork was challenging. I loved the flexibility of the online format. I was a bit thrown off to find out that the classes were only 5 weeks long, but quickly adapted to that. I really liked the financial aid office and the advisors too. Everyone was always very helpful. My advisor checked in with me about once a month, for my first year, and then once several months for the rest of the time that I was in school. When I did have a problem, which wasn't often, I heard back from him practically the minute that I sent an email saying that I had a problem. The only issue that I ever had was that because the teachers weren't local to me, they didn't have any advice on local connections to make for internships or future career moves. Luckily, I saw that as a potential problem going in and used some of my course work to make connections with the local archaeologist. Which, coincidently is how I ended up picking my Master's program, that I got accepted into because of the great letters of recommendation that my teachers at Ashford wrote!"

"Great staff and awesome experience and I am better because of Ashford. I was having a difficult time pursuing a degree but the academic advisor team was friendly and cordial. Furthermore, the classes were applicable and engaging. I am currently working on finishing masters and thanks to Ashford I am able to do well in my program."

"I was really satisfied with my education at Ashford University. I was very nervous about going back to school at my age at the time I enrolled and worried about if I was going to be able to follow through. The enrollment counselors were very helpful and once I started taking classes I knew I had made the right choice in schools. The classes and instructors were above what I expected. The structure of the classes and when assignments were due made it very easy for me to study at my own pace while also taking care of my family and working."

"I am a former student of Ashford University and I am so happy that I chose this school to get a degree from. I am 56 years old and when I set out to obtain a degree it was my goal to graduate by the age of 55 and I did it. I worked full-time, had two back surgeries and five deaths in my family and I still graduated with honors. This school is for those people that are self-disciplined and dedicated to working hard in order to achieve their goals. If you do not have these characteristics you may want to consider going to a community college otherwise I highly recommend this University. I graduated with a double major and wouldn't have it any other way."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my study at Ashford University. Being online, I was able to complete coursework and learn at my own pace. I had a baby and chose not to miss any classes, since they were online (so disregard my "Safety On Campus Rating). I earned my degree being a full time Corrections Officer, full time mom, and wife. I would definitely recommend this University, especially to military families that need a financial break. I love Ashford."

"This is to serve as a warning not to Attend this university. Thua university Will not let you graduate on time, adding additional courses which would have to be paid before graduation. Because of this university I'm in debt of 65000. I wouldn't recommend this university to my enemy. They do not care about you. This university a negative 5."

"Stay away!!! This school is only in it for the money. I have had nothing but headache and problems. They increase tuition more than normal, they charge more fees and more for materials than normal. They are a private for profit university. They do not care about you, they care about your money. I had problem after problem with the financial aid dept. I was in the middle of getting my degree and they discontinued classes I NEEDED to get my degree, their answer was basically too bad for me, they can do what they want and they already have my money. I cant graduate now and am over 50,000 in the pit with them. I had to transfer to a different university and lost about 50 credits I paid and spent time earning. Teachers do almost no work and offer no help, a computer system handles all the grading a such. STAY AWAY!"

"I thought Ashford was a very good school. While I have no complaints about the staff, I do think that the educational material should go more in depth into the topics. Of course, some teachers were better than others, but overall the school was good."

"First of all I loved Ashford. It may be a bit expensive , but college is. If you are in an online program, expect a stigma, but times are changing, more and more universities have online programs, this is a fact. I transfered classes from junior college and a SWAC university, all the professors had master degrees and my advisor never changed. I received all they promised, my advisor even advised on the cost!!!! I am proud to say that I graduated from Ashford with honors and my employer does not look down on it, I put in the blood, sweat and tears to get a degree, period!!! I could go on on, just wanted to add that some of the Negativity is not founded. Remember that folks that have a negative experience are more likely to voice an opinion, For me it was great and now I am experiencing the rewards of my hard work."

"I am about to finish my Bachelor's Degree at Ashford University, my experience with Ashford (Online) has been nothing but positive, every single staff member I had contact with has demonstrated excellent professionalism and promptness. As graduation time nears, I am almost sad to leave the online classroom and seriously considering signing up for a Master's in Education because I am not ready to stop learning just yet. I recommend Ashford University to anyone looking to further their education one class at a time. I am sorry to learn there are some unhappy customers and really hope Ashford does everything possible to keep everyone at a good stand as they (Ashford) have done with me. Best of luck to all"
