"I was a student with Ashworth College in the accounting course. I couldn't complete the course because of serious health issues that had place me in and out of the hospital. Keep in mind that I was away from the accounting course to the limit that I felt that I needed to start completely over to get everything out of the course. I tried to enroll in the accounting course the second week of February. I had the enrollment papers all filled out and I even paid for it in full. I called the student services of why it was taking so long to accept a full payment of the accounting course. I was told that I was not accepted to start the program all over and for me to just pay for the extension of where I left off. I expressed to them the reason that I wanted to start the program over and still they refused. I asked for the journals, ledgers and etc so that I could at least continue on from there since I didn't have that homework paperwork with me. That included the grade project that I didn't have any longer. Still they refused to accept the full payment of the course and for me to continue on from where I left off. They made such a production of this to where I will not take anymore course through them. If they can't help the students like what I went through and asking for help to start the program over again so that I could get the full affect of the course and paid for in full, well, Ashworth College is worth my time nor my dollar. I would recommend to all that are looking for online courses to continue to look elsewhere because Ashworth College is a joke. I have never had this kind of treatment in my life of asking to start a program over and paid for in full. Save your money, look elsewhere. They don't care about the students at all."

"I did my research an was aware that this school was nationally accredited. I completed my associate degree and was able to transfer to Western Governors University. I sat for the national exam for Bookekeepers, passed and now a staff accountant. A majority of my credits trasnferred to WGU so I can't complain. I'm set to graduate from WGU this spring and could not have done it without Ashworth. I'm also eligible to sit for my CPA in the future. Ashworth is a legitimate college with legitimate accreditation. However, its for independent learners who do not need a professor to hold their hand every single step of the way."

"I have tried to get a question answered that has taken me ten days, transferred 12 times, on hold at least 10 to 15 minutes each time I was transferred and the only answer I got in the end was that the workbook that this college gave me was incorrect and it did not supply the practice excel spreadsheets that it said it did. Not one person would let me speak with a supervisor nor could they answer. All they knew how to do was transfer back and forth! And this is not cheap for an online college. I'm so sad I spent this much money that I cannot even have a phone number or email address to get help! I do NOT recommend at all."

"Terrible... the program I was given did not match the program I was given. Faulty emails sent about materials being shipped before I started that never arrived delaying the start to the program. Then to find out I was not getting materials for the first part of the program. Since this was so disorganized and confusing I decided to cancel my program... which apparently got messed up too... Now being charged over $200 to cancel a program I was never able to start onto received materials for. VERY DISSAPOINTED."

"This School obviously only cares about the pass or fail, and does not give much thought to the actual quality of education. Every single class is formatted basically the same way, not matter if it is English or science. They even have a speech class that does not have you actually give a speech. My main reason for disliking the course is the fact that you have three tries on every assignment, however only the first passing grade counts. You cannot retake in order to achieve a higher score on any assignment you take for your entire course load. If you do fail an assignment, all that happens once you pass is you receive a 60 no matter what the score. All in all, you get what you paid for, if that."

"Back in 2002 to 2004 I applied for a account degree with Ashworth on line. The studies went great and I did everything I was suppose to do and finish in 2004 with 4.0 GPA. When I went to get my transcripts I was informed that I never finished the program and I explained to them that I had received a confirmation letter stating that I have finished my degree program and that everything would be sent to me they even ask what size ring I worn because I was to get a class ring. Never seen it and to this day I still do not have it or the acknowledgement of my Associate Degree in Accounting I still have all my books sometimes I want to burn them in the fire pit but I have kept them. If they do not stand by what they "teach" or should I say "preach" why are they still offering the on line classes because it is a scam."

"I was attracted to Ashworth online "Basic Accounting" course due to its affordable rate and ability to make monthly payments. The text is good except for a number of typos which led me to open the pandora's box so to speak. The only nice person that I have spoken to is the one who sold me the course. She said everything I want to hear and be inspired. Once I started my studying, I came across multiple issues that I need to call and get help, that's when I start to see their system is so confusing, I got frustrated calling, waiting for a return call, and tried emailing tutors, it has not improved any bit. I received a couple of replies that are blanks, and the rest just didn't address my question instead sent me their nicely scripted correspondence form. Their staff is ill-trained, unfriendly, feisty, rude, and good only with lip service. I will definitely not recommend Ashworth to my friends. I'm one exam to go, and all excited to leave the program not because I'm proud of it."
