"I signed up for the locksmith certification course Jan 25. The price was good but here's the deal. This is a canned class that originated at Penn Foster ( I know this because my brother signed up with them and we compared the curriculum). There are no instructors or students to my knowledge as I've posted on the boards and have only just seen the first person post in weeks. The text is riddled with typos and even some plain wrong information (ie. they show a picture of a half diamond pick and called it a key extractor). I'm 45% done with the course already and have yet to receive any tools to finish my final from my first two sections. My recommendation is to spend the extra money on a course taught by an actual locksmith. This is my fault for trying to save a buck... lesson learned. I'll probably have my license before this course even lets me finish. Let me see if I can say something positive. You will learn some things though some of the knowledge is outdated for modern locksmiths and after talking with another locksmith it will not help you pass the ALOA exam... Good luck... go somewhere else.... I'm stuck as I paid in full ... ;-("

"I paid the down payment. I did all of the orientation. The shipment notification said "Item on backorder" I called a couple times. They assured me my materials were on the way. Two weeks after a 100% score on the orientation test I call again because now the shipment notification says "2 items backordered." The first person I talk to says "You need to finish the first lesson." The second person tells me that her system shows everything as shipped. I waited another week and called back. I cancelled my account and requested a refund which was granted. The materials did show up. The tracking system showed it was shipped after I cancelled. I refused the package and it was returned unopened. It feels like this school is a mix of honest people that don't plan well and a few that just want your next payment."

"They are a legal scammer. I ask for a course and they sent me a book for material that has nothing to see. And a dam test you have to take. When I tried to call them for help they just tell you the same you was already trying to do and you couldn't. Even I said I couldn't understand the program they offered me to close my account but by paying $'300.00 cancellation fees. For one week I only logged in to they sistem 6 times trying to understand they none sence. For me I didn't take any credit from them they end up sending to the credit because I didn't pay for what I didn't used. They don't care about ppl education, they just care about how they force you to pay"

"After completing this course from Ashworth, I've now completed over a dozen online high school, college and trade courses from 5 different institutions. I can confidently say that Ashworth is by far the worst experience I've had, hands down. The technology is out of date, the support is almost non-existent and the tools that they supply are laughably cheap. Under absolutely no circumstances would I ever recommend Ashworth College to another student in any field. There will ALWAYS be better options. Even if they are literally the only school that offers a program, you can save $500+ dollars by just buying the exact same textbooks, practice materials and certification exams on other websites. The only things you'll miss are the generic, poorly worded multiple choice quizzes and long periods of waiting while their materials are on "backorder"."

"I was very disappointed in the many mistakes in the questions and answers and to realize they had not been fixed for years according to former student reviews. If I had read reviews first I would not have signed up. Nevertheless I finished the course and paid it in full in 3 months. It has been 11 months now and still have NOT received the key duplicator they promised to send upon completion and payment of this course :( I am not very happy about this. I have called at least 4 times in the past year. They said they sent it. Oh but it was returned since I had moved in February. I have called since I moved and it seems they are all out of them now, even the one they originally sent me ,and when they get one they will send it. !!?? I wish I had looked around more before singing up."
