This college scammed me!! Stay away from this College!! - 9/2/2016
Degree: Healthcare Management
Graduation Year: 2016
"I found Ashworth College and thought this was the great college, but I learned quickly that they are not! They are not trustworthy and they're dishonest with their students.I believe they're only in it for the money, they must get a bonus for each student that they enroll. They don;t care about he students they just want their money every month! I first enrolled in the Associates degree program for Healthcare Administration and was very happy with my decision. I even found out that the 4th semester will be free! Months later as I was in the program, I happened to look on their website and saw that they had a new program which was Healthcare management in the Bachelor's degree. I notice that the first four semesters were the exact same as the associates degree in healthcare administration that I was enrolled in, so I knew it would be no problem to transfer all my credits to the BA program in healthcare management. I was excited and called to enroll in that Bachelors program that same day, the lady was so quick to enroll me over the phone, and I was in the program in less than 5minutes! I didn't know later on I was scammed. The next day I called to ask if I would still receive my associates in healthcare administration once I pay off the four semesters since they are identical to the 4 semesters of my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare management. I was told that I will not receive my associates degree in healthcare administration even though the 4 semesters of the the healthcare administration is exactly the same as the healthcare management in the bachelor's degree program! I called them the next day to let them know that I would like to cancel and go back to the associates program, and once I finish my associates, I will go for my BA in healthcare management so I could earn two degrees instead of one degree, it makes sense right? All of my credits will go straight into the BA program if I were to remain in the healthcare adminstration degree, but they tell me I can't and that I can not ''down grade" and I have to stay in the Bachelors degree program in Healthcare Management! I wish I would have known this before I enrolled in the BA program!! So basically if a person enrolls in the associates degree program in healthcare administration and graduate, they can transfer all of their credits from their associates degree and enroll in the Bachelors degree in Healthcare management and finish that, and have TWO DEGREES instead of ONE which I will only have when I finish the program!!! This is not right, and unjust! They could of at least inform me all of this before being so quick to enroll me in the BA degree!! If I would have known this enrolled in the BA and just finish the associates and then transfer to a BA. I wouldn't have a problem with this school if they were to let me get my Associates degree in healthcare administration once all four semesters are paid and let me get my Bachelors in healthcare management after finishing the rest of the semesters which would be 4 left afterwards and fully paid. I was going to get my MBA from Ashworth, but I will not be going after I finish my BA degree after they pulled this mess on me, and I will not recommend this school to none of my friends nor family and anyone who mention this school I will tell them do not attend the school. The best thing to do is just go to your local regionally accredited college. I'm attending my local regionally accredited college now for my associates, and I am pretty sure if I were to switch to the bachelors program, they would not be telling me no I can't, because your "down grading!" Or saying that I can't receive my associates and bachelors degree. What kind of college does that!? And I even ask them if I finish my BA could I get my associates in healthcare administration and they told me NO! They are ridiculous! I see why people say this is not a real college and that this college is a joke! Please go else where, and save your money, because they do not accept financial aid, and you will not receive your degree until your debt is paid in full! I was going to attend the graduation, but decided not to, because this school really disappointed me.I was all for this school despite it being nationally accredited, long waits for papers to be graded, test have more than one answer that is correct or none, I can go on, but I have no choice but to stay with this school, because I am paying all this money out of my pockets and I want to at least finish my degree instead of throwing my money down the drain!"
