Terrible... the program I was given did not match the program I was given. Faulty emails sent about materials being shipped before I started that never arrived delaying the start to the program. Then to find out I was not getting materials for the first part of the program. Since this was so disorganized and confusing I decided to cancel my program... which apparently got messed up too... Now being charged over $200 to cancel a program I was never able to start onto received materials for. VERY DISSAPOINTED.
The school is nationally accredited not regionally. It will not transfer to your state schools. It transfers to most nationally accredited schools not regionally accredited schools (there are some exceptions, but few). Get over the name, it is not going to impress anyone. Some jobs require a regionally accredited degree, Ashworth does not apply and will not work for you. Cost is the only reason I chose Ashworth, the books are included and it really is self-paced. The tech errors or delays are minimal and the same I experienced when attending a state school. The customer service is hit and miss, some people are nicer than others, again, the same as I experienced in a state school. Some teachers barely read my papers and other's gave me great insight on how to improve my structure or focus on my papers. If you feel embarrassed about getting an education from this school then don't apply. Please do not discourage those that are looking to improve their prospects. It is accurate to inform people that a nationally accredited degree is limited on transferability as opposed to a regionally accredited degree. You may not transfer to NYU, Berkely, Boston State, community college etc. w/ credits from Ashworth This degree helped me in my career and in my personal/professional growth as a marketing executive. I'm now considering Ashworth for my Master's degree. This decision is due to cost mostly but the flexibility and self-pace really helped me during busy times at the office. It is helpful when you cannot take a week or two off of school and you have travel or deadlines. May you find success on your journey to higher education.
ASHWORTH IS ONE OF THE BEST. ITS VERY AFFORDABLE BUT I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE STAFF OR GETTING ANY OF MY BOOKS ON TIME OR WHAT NOT. ITS AN AMAZING SCHOOL, I LOVED IT. ALONG WITH ONLINE SCHOOLING, IT TAKES COMMITMENT AND NOT MAY HAVE THAT. ONLINE SCHOOL IS VERY HARD, AND ASHWORTH HAD MADE MY EXPERIENCE WORTH WHILE. CURRENTLY MY SON IS A SENIOR AT JAMES MADISON HIGH, AND ITS THE BEST!!! I WOULD RECOMMEND ASHWORTH.
WORST SCHOOL EVER! no help whatsoever, credits transfer no where if you're wanting to get your associates degree and continue to another school like I did they only want your money!!! $600 cancelation fee charged to me after I found out how terrible of a school they are! DO NOT ENROLL HERE
I am from the Caribbean island St.Vncen. t I did the gourmet cooking and catering course and not only did I learned a lot I also got employment on ships did private parties weddings etc ..I now am a owner of Banners Bar and Grill in Chateaubelair St. Vincent..Thanks to Ashworth..
Let me first say, If you have the money and/or the opportunity to attend a regionally accredited school, you should. ASHWORTH COLLEGE IS A REAL ACCREDITED SCHOOL, however, the quality of education you receive is not the greatest. I maxed out on my student loans at the Art Institute and was not able to complete my degree there. That's when I decided to try Ashworth. Without this school, I don't think I would have been able to afford to finish a degree. So, if you're simply looking for an affordable degree.. this school is for you. The staff/faculty is pretty terrible...So, instead of asking for assistance with anything, I did my work as quickly as possible so that I could hurry and finish each class. I will mostly likely go on to finish my Bachelor's and Master's here. Again, if you simply need an affordable degree, and you're willing to do everything with little to no help, Ashworth is a good school for you. Though it's not as great of a school as it could be, it has certainly helped make me a more determined and disciplined person.
I would not recommend this school to anyone. I do not know if this is even legit. Their websit is not current, as far as testimonials / graduation success / graduation ceremony dates for current year, scholarship availability. The most annoying part of dealing with this school has to be their rude / ghetto/ unprofessional staff who answer their phones day in and day out. Don't ever try to get study assistance, as they do not assist you in anyway, I was once told when enquiring about something I was studying, that "That's what your text book is for, why are you calling us for?" I was so infuriated. If you call management, they are just as useless. I do not know the lady's name, but she is pathetic. They only care about getting your money, nothing to do with your education that you are paying for. If you want little to no support, THIS IS THE SCHOOL FOR YOU! If you want rude service personell... this is the place for you. GO somewhere else and obtain quality service, from people who actually care about you.
This College has been like a God send to me. I do not have enough words to describe how wonderful this College has been to me. I've learned so much over the years and I do not have any complaints. I ended up getting my High School Diploma through James Madison High School and went on to get an AS in Early Childhood Education and an AS in Psychology. I also have a Diploma in Nutrition, Diet and Health Sciences. I'm now working on getting my Diploma as a Home Health Aide. I'm sure that I'll continue my Education through Ashworth. Next, I'm thinking about Social Services Assistant in Substance Abuse. Either that, or a Physical Therapy Aide. I'm a career student and enjoy learning and I will continue with this College. I'm also interested in other courses through here as well and I've had no problems in finding employment.
This School obviously only cares about the pass or fail, and does not give much thought to the actual quality of education. Every single class is formatted basically the same way, not matter if it is English or science. They even have a speech class that does not have you actually give a speech. My main reason for disliking the course is the fact that you have three tries on every assignment, however only the first passing grade counts. You cannot retake in order to achieve a higher score on any assignment you take for your entire course load. If you do fail an assignment, all that happens once you pass is you receive a 60 no matter what the score. All in all, you get what you paid for, if that.
Never had any problems with any of the courses. Very prompt response and study materials were shipped on time. Great study materials by Pearson. Worth the money. Good customer service, very helpful. I am working in the healthcare field. All the study materials helps understand all aspects of healthcare.
