I really loved the RN to BSN program at Aspen. It was convenient and easy to follow and I could work at my own pace. I especially liked that I could pay for my classes with a monthly payment plan and also that new classes started every 2 weeks so if I wasn't ready to start one class right after the last finished, I could do it 2 weeks later. The professors were very helpful and I felt they really cared about helping me get through the program. I have recommended Aspen to many people already.

Degree: MSN to DNP

I highly recommend Aspen University for the DNP program. Although the program was challenging, the organized curriculum, the advisors, the Doctoral Student Support Webinar series, and the instructors got me through. The DNP project is broken into sections and the student is not left on their own to complete the project. The advisor, The faculty mentor, and the faculty reviewer is there to assist you every step of the way. This help was so encouraging and gave me the confidence and the tools needed... Read More

This was my first online learning experience and I was surprised at how much I've learned during this program. Instructors are approachable and encouraging. The online availability was the reason I chose Aspen. The flexibility allowed me to work full-time while completing my degree. Another bonus is that they will finance with no interest. This is unheard of in Canada where I live. I am very satisfied with my overall experience and recommend anyone else who is thinking about advancing their education... Read More

Aspen University has allowed me to pursue my lifelong journey of education in nursing by enabling me to complete online courses at a time that worked for me to obtain my MSN in administration and leadership. An MSN was a benchmark for excellence and my personal growth, as I can now pursue other jobs that value my competence. My practicum and capstone experience faculty members challenged me to be the change agent, step outside my comfort zone, and use the skills and knowledge acquired to create innovations... Read More

I started this program about 2 months before the Covid 19 pandemic, and I just completed it. I took off quite a bit of time in-between. Everyone was so accommodating. This was such a great program, it got me back to writing papers, something I hadn't done in over 25 years, since that's the last time I was in school. The instructors were great, and a few were a little tough, but it all paid off. My least favourite subject was research and I dropped that class twice before completing it and getting... Read More

I'm so glad I chose Aspen University to complete my Master's Degree in Nursing. The MSN online program is very flexible that it allowed me to continue to work full time, take care of my family, and complete my degree. The instructors were very knowledgeable and willing to guide me as a student and reminded me of having work-school-life balance. I'm so appreciative of the wealth of knowledge I gained. Thank you!

Degree: Substance Abuse Counseling

I got both my Bachelor's and Master's in Addiction Psychology from Aspen University. Overall, my experience was good with most professors being knowledgeable and kind. Furthermore, Aspen charges substantially less than other colleges allowing a student to get a degree, even a Master's, and not be drowning in debt. My issue with the program was the final proctored exam for my Master's. All other proctored exams were either done at a local college or during Covid they were online with a Word document,... I had a wonderful experience while completing my DNP at Aspen University. My faculty mentor was very helpful and accessible! The available finance options can prevent students from paying costly interest rates. My DNP journey was relevant and beneficial to my career. I’m happy that I chose Aspen!

Don't bother. The DNP degree is a joke. We do a "project" as though we are third grade science fair entrants (which is not the fault of Aspen, rather, that is the idiocy of the AACN). However, the IRB requires hack "projects." Anything with any type of originality is shot down immediately. Also, unless you are affiliated with a corporation, you don't have a chance to obtain your degree. The DNP through Aspen is solely unpaid quality improvement (and weak, at that!) for your employer. Go the PhD route,... Read More

The main reason I would not recommend this school to someone pursuing a DNP degree is because after your final defense, you have to pass a written comprehensive exam. Also, whoever is grading the exam expects that every doctoral project should meet every DNP essential and this is not always true. Also, the instructions for the exam should be clearer e.g. put the main questions in a bold font. I think the written comprehensive exam requirement should be achieved in another manner. I have heard that... Read More

Aspen’s DNP was challenging and very relevant to the issues in the field of healthcare at the management level. My DNP project was well-supported and the faculty were very responsive to questions for feedback. I am very pleased with Aspen. I have several job opportunities with this new degree. I am very pleased with Asoen for keeping the DNP affordable yet relevant and achievable with its organized online format. .
