I chose the Aspen program for two reasons: affordability, and on recommendation from many of my co-workers, who are completing BSN and MSN level degrees. I was very surprised at the high quality of of the educational material and instruction that I received. This was not an easy task, the work load can be intense, but nothing in life worth working for should just be handed to you...and this was definitely work...and definitely worth the time and investment. I looked at other online universities for... Read More

So much busy work! The length and amount of formal papers and discussions in 8 weeks far outweighs the amount in a 5 week course from comparable online programs. Twice the amount of time and work! After writing all 8 formal papers, be prepared for ANOTHER formal 1000 word essay summarizing the course! My advisor was extremely defensive when I had a concern about an instructor that gave me a poor grade after not answering my question prior to submitting the assignment. The writing class was much more... Read More

Great way to earn your degree, while still working full time! My Professors were very helpful and gave insight every step of the way! I have recommended their program to two coworkers who are now taking classes towards their BSN. I wanted to have new doors open for me when I graduated, and they have! Grateful for the experience!

I am in the RN to BSN online program. I like the program, but am disappointed that my advisor never returns my request to talk about issues I am having. The instructor I have does not allow me to submit work early it seems that they are inflexible. I paid my tuition I should be allowed to submit work early

I have been enrolled at Aspen University from FEB 2015 and will graduate Summer 2017 with a BSN. I could not be more pleased with every aspect of my nursing program. It is hard work. You must be intelligent, motivated, and a self-starter to experience the benefit of a well-rounded educational experience. On-line learning is much more challenging than the classroom setting. If you are not willing to put in at least 20 hours per week, per course, then don't waste your time or money. The work is rigorous.... Read More

Aspen has a great Nursing bridge program. If you are a RN wanting or needing to obtain your BSN you can complete it with 10 just classes! I already has 120 credits which was more than necessary to get into their program. I have been a critical care RN for 20 years and find the program very pertinent to current nursing topics and practice! Lots of research and writing APA formatted papers....not difficult, but it is time consuming if you put in the work.
