Outstanding! Not a fly by night program...I learned a lot from this rigorous program. I went to Texas AM and University of Nebraska, and this program was much more inline with real world education. This is not an easy program and if you decide to pursue a degree here in person or online be ready to work hard and learn everything you can!
This is not a good school at all. You will not get a job after you graduate except that you major in BS computer but their master degree in computer is not good. Do not waist your time taking classes at Bellevue , go to UNO or UNL if you are in Nebraska. Bellevue University won't offer you internship if you Black.
I'm very concerned that my degree from this school is not viewed by employers as one that matters. I've been told that a degree from here is like a high school diploma... everyone can get one. :( My experience is that the school has a ton of turn over. Faculty and advisors just seem to leave the University all the time. No one stays. This is weird and my friends say this isn't normal. There is something going on with this school that isn't right. I don't know what it is, but I recommend looking for other options. It is a good choice if it is your only choice I guess. Best of luck with your studies.
I am very satisfied with education I receive at Bellevue University. Attending Bellevue University was an excellent experience in every way. I would highly recommend Bellevue for any student in need of an excellent online bachelors degree program, especially in computer science or technology. When choosing an online program you want a school that is honest, affordable, and provides an education that is relevant in your field of study. I found this to completely true with Bellevue University. I am very satisfied with the curriculum in my degree program. They covered all of the topics I needed to study and did so in a genuine fashion. I use all that I have learned at Bellevue in my career and I am greatly appreciative of the thoughtfulness Bellevue uses in their degree programs. I would like to continue studying towards my Master's degree and would not hesitate to select Bellevue again. I would recommend this university to any adult student who is serious about earning their degree with an online program. The instruction was excellent and they created an environment where you could engage with your fellow students as well even though you are online. On all counts I am more than satisfied with my experience with Bellevue University and I am grateful I selected and attended this university to complete my degree.
Online Degree Program (never took classes in person) Instructors have you teach yourself by reading your text book. You have "discussions" with your peers via forums each week. They are not helpful and force classmates to come up with "substantial " comments regarding your post. It's awkward because once a person addresses the topic, there's usually very little left to say. The online format is not user friendly. The interface is like using something from the 90's. You only "learn" what you retain from your text book and have no instruction for real life situations. The saddest part is that several employers don't recognize Bellevue as a "real" learning institution. I might as well have graduated from 7-11. Do yourself a favor and attend a reputable school that has quality instructors where you'll actually learn something.
I'm in the process of collecting complaints specific to Bellevue University located in Bellevue, Nebraska. Complaints specific to bait and switch and or predatory practices. I enrolled in a program that turned out to be nothing specific to what I was seeking. After being assigned to multiple 'Coaches' to address this problem, only to be referred to the other folks giving me lip service, I dropped from the program and I am pursuing litigation (Collective Class Action) at this time. If you have a similar circumstance and you are seeking a refund, please contact me at email@example.com and I will put you in contact with my attorney.
I enrolled to Bellevue University only because I wanted to get my Bachelor Degree as quick as possible. Before the enrollment my advisor sent me an unofficial evaluation which required me to complete 49 credits to get my degree. And she promised me that my official evaluation was not going to be any different than the one she sent me. After a month of my enrollment my advisor asked me to chek my official evaluation on the schools website. My 49 credits was now 78 credits plus i was required to take Kirk Patrick Series. I spoke to the president of the University, but she was not helpful at all. I dropped my enrollment after taking my first class and now i got excessive amount of charges on my Federal loans. My suggestion for the people who still wants to study at Bellevue University after reading my review. Make sure you get your official evaluation. Always try to contact them through email. So, you have a written proof of what they promised you just incase if you need to hire a lawyer.
Communication is almost non existent at this school. You are assigned an advisor who will likely not return your calls or emails. The "professors" have very little to no real life experience and therefore you spend your time reading text, participating in half hearted "discussions" which are actually responses to another student's post in a forum. Thankfully, I had over 10 years of real life experience in this field before I began taking classes at Bellevue as I literally learned nothing. My classmates were frustrated at the lack of quality instruction. The "professor" remained the same for all of the HR classes, which was both strange and of no benefit. She was extremely unorganized and unknowledgeable. Her grading system was all over the place and many of my classmates (and myself) sent her emails multiple times a week pointing out inconsistencies and issues. Had I not been so close to achieving my degree I would have left much earlier. My advice is to avoid Bellevue and find another quality institution.
I enjoyed my time at Bellevue a great deal. I had good instructors; but as with any school, some will be more engaging than others. I thought the level of expectation was appropriate for graduate level work, and the tuition to be reasonable. I'm not certain that the program does a great job of preparing the student for a career in coaching, but the leadership theory was excellent.
I attended the college and obtained an MS in Security Management. It was to most challenging program I had ever experienced. The workload was a lot but it challenged me and I learned a great deal about a field I had been in for over 15 years. Everyone I come into contact with in the Faculty and staff were extremely helpful. Since graduating I received and took a position as a VP of Security and have been in the position for almost 4 years. This was the greatest investment I made in my future.
