"Great, supportive staff. I am an online MSW student and I am really impressed with the logistics, and they seem really on top of things. Prior to this school, I attended a prestigious private university (not online) and they didn't have it together the way this distant online college has. I think you will learn most about social work in the field, and the program is there to guide and support you during your learning experience. The financial aid office is highly organized and easy to deal with."

"I graduated with my MSW via a satellite campus, so I didn't have to deal with any of the on campus issues referenced in other reviews. I had the opportunity to attend in person classes with some incredible instructors. The materials were relevant and I learned a great deal. However, the program is now changing for all distance learning students to an online degree. There will be no more in person classes and I think that is going to take away much of the learning experience. My score for my education would be 5's all the way across, but I am taking the scoring down to reflect the current status of the program. I would not recommend anyone looking to get their Master's in Social Work to complete an online college. There is too much information to learn."

"I love being a graduate student at Boise State. The faculty is great, and teaches from their own experiences working in social work. The cohort-style of the program lends itself t to building a tight-knit social network. The schedule is tough; it wouldn't be feasible to hold a full-time job while in this program. However, I feel like I am getting a good education at a GREAT value. And, Boise is a great city to live in with lots to do."

"The pro's of this program include working closely with professionals in the masters of social work on a weekly basis through internships that the school assisted their students with, having a challenging yet manageable coursework load and having the best librarian. The con's are mirrored in the pro's in that it is nearly impossible to hold a job and perform well making financial assistance crucial."

"I have enjoyed my program. It has been very challenging. The classes size is small and the quality of professors is high. I would like to see a more comprehensive screening process for applicants."
