"Bowling Green State University offered an extremely high level of instruction and critical thinking. It challenged me beyond what I thought I was capable of as a student, but also offered the support I needed to succeed. Instructors in the Media/Telecommunications department and Popular Culture department were extremely intelligent, engaging, personable and approachable."

"Moved here for an assistantship and my supervisor didn’t look me in the eyes and didn’t even introduce himself, he literally blurted out our new teaching schedules as quickly as he possibly could. He proceeded to insinuate that I was dressed like a slob because I wasn’t wearing a suit or tailored dress (even though he wore a polo and khakis?) I was lucky enough to retrieve my lesson plans and a syllabus from him that had mismatched page numbers and entirely empty, blank assignment files. An absolute nightmare of an experience. How am I supposed to teach their crap lesson plans if they can’t keep their files and assignments organized in proper order? Waste of time and money."

"Overall, awful experience. I have a Master's degree already and enrolled in the graduate college for CTE education.. avoid it at ALL costs! I pad out of pocket to add a CTE certificate for our school for federal funding and the syllabi and I was given was 2 years old and no dates matched up. I was also told the course was "asynchronous" and I could turn in assignments at any time until the end of the term. I did just that and turned in everything all at once but was told assignments would be counted late and the term was over. When I referenced the due dates and timelines on the syllabus I was told I should know when the term ends and then they took down the syllabus because none of it matched up. AWFUL educational practices!"

"Bowling Green State University has been one of the leading teaching colleges in the United States. Because of this, the courses are intense, which must be taken into consideration if one is willing to pursue an education degree at BGSU. But there is just more than course work that is required, there are the numerous state and field requirements, which can and will be overwhelming at times. If you wish to pursue an education degree from this school, you must have persistence."

"BGSU offered me a great experience. I credit my time at the institution for helping me develop my interest, meet life-long friends and give back to students coming after me. I have been an undergraduate, graduate student and a full-time employee of BGSU. Throughout my experiences, I have had access to great opportunities for involvement, community, and professional development."

"Every college tends to offer different experiences and every student has their own "home" at a university. I felt at home at Bowling Green State University after my first visit there. Staff was easy to work with and the university really wanted what's best for their students. They constantly were updating technology and providing many services for students. This was evidenced by various food options, a multi-step authentication process for login security, and many organizations for students to be a part of. BGSU strives to bring highly skilled students and faculty to its campus to develop a strong foundation for its future leaders. It's important to remember EVERY school has its pros and cons, but the school known for being in the middle of nowhere had many pros. BGSU strives to assist students with investing and growing their passions and developing into a well-rounded adult."

"I found my community at this university the second I stepped on campus. I immediately became very involved with the French House as well as Vision which is now the Queer Student Union. I loved my time here and learned so much from my peers, select faculty, and extracurricular activities. Some of my core classes were unfortunately not led by professors, but by TAs and instructors which displays a lack of investment in their students. Their career services 'taught' me how to use google to job hunt, which was not helpful especially as a millennial who grew up using google. If you're looking for a classic college experience with tons of school spirit and a rich community, this is a great school. If challenging academics are more important you're better off at OSU or anywhere else."

"College is great, if it's what you want to do. Don't go to college just because you feel you have to. You have to want to go, and go to class, and enjoy learning."

"Bowling Green prepared me for the ever changing world of education. When I started as a teacher I had the resources needed to help my students succeed. I also had a solid start to my professional learning network and was able to continue building my network after graduation."

"I very much enjoyed getting my Masters degree at BG. I was there for my bachelors as well as my masters. The professor go above and beyond to help their students. My graduate advisors have played a large role in preparing me, and to helping me get accepted into a PhD program which I will begin in August of 2017."

"Although I went to the regional campus, it was simply a nice place to be. The campus was quiet, and the atmosphere was peaceful. The instructors were kind and bright, and definitely knew what they were teaching their students. The cafe was nice with plenty of options, and there were nice study spaces for quiet time to work."

"Bowling Green State University is a wonderful college to attend! The atmosphere is great and has a comfortable feeling to it. You never have to feel unsafe, or scared even at night. The classes are intriguing, and challenge students to explore and learn more about every topic. The staff is helpful, respectful, and willing to meet with you as often as you like. I would recommend Bowling Green State University to anyone who wants to continue on to a graduate college for their doctorate of physical therapy."

"Amazing school with plenty of opportunity for growth and structure. I would strongly recommend Bowling Green State University for all undergrad programs. It prepared me substantially for my future career and gave me the advancement to stand above my peers. They guided and directed me and helped me obtain my first job right away out of college."

"Bowling Green State University truly cares for their students and the experiences they provide for their student body proves that. This University has given me the skills to lead and excel in my profession. The opportunities at this University are endless. As a campus tour guide in the Office of Admissions I have seen the looks of perspective students as they end their tour of this campus, and one can truly see how much they loved the campus, the details of the University, and what we offer. Our Career Center exceeds other Universities. The Career Center is an option for students to network, enhance their skills, and grow as a professional. With over 350 organizations on campus, every student finds a passion and has the option to become a leader within their community. Experience is everything within our society and this University has given me what I need to excel and drive my passion to keep growing as a person and a professional."

"Bowling Green State University is one of the top rated business schools in the country for a reason. The tools to succeed are available for all students and the staff are truly there to help! They also offer different business organizations to further your education and experiences. I wouldn't be where I am today without the education and experiences from BGSU!"

"BGSU is an amazing school to earn your degree. I learned so much inside and outside the classroom in my four years. I participated in marching band and became the section leader of the drumline and made many wonderful friends. Actually, I am newly married to one of those wonderful friends and couldn't be happier. BGSU is overflowing with opportunities to get involved and to further your career. I feel very qualified for the workplace after the instruction I recieved from my helpful, friendly and goofy professors. Take it from my 'Falcon Flame' husband and I - BGSU is the place to be!"

"BGSU may be an ok school if you attend on campus, but it is not a good online option. I chose this school for the convenience of online and the promise that I could take one class at a time. Once I was one class in, I was informed that I would need to take 2 classes at a time and effectively complete 2/3 of my degree within one year. After that time I would have 3 years to complete the remaining 4 classes. Administration does not take student complaints seriously and instead of apologizing or attempting to make the process better, spends time defending the program. There is no wish to grow. My school has already decided that they will no longer offer BGSU as an option. I will transfer to KSU in the summer. There were a few bright spots in the program. It is too bad that these teachers are stuck in this environment."

"The program lost a key player, and unfortunately, her workload (advisees, classes, etc.) fell in the lap of two new professors. Some of the classes of the graduate program doubled in size, which is unfair to the students who are paying for a high quality graduate program. Professors are overworked, although given what they have on their plates, they do an amazing job. Not enough practice or discussion is offered during classes to delve into the readings. Hoping this all changes for the best. No connection between 2nd and 1st year students is apparent. On the positive side, the adjuncts and faculty are very friendly and knowledgable in the field! They are fantastic resources and nice people."
