"BYU actually helped me gain a diverse view of the world around me and gave me extremely valuable experience with internships and employment that proved extremely important during my grad school application process. The blend of general requirements and mix of sociology, psychology, and social work that I pursued truly helped to get me to where I am today. After my freshman year when I decided to change my major and not pursue my original career choice I had the option to take a for-credit class that allotted time to explore and learn about other options."

The other students on campus are all driven to gain knowledge and skills. The cost is much lower than almost any other university and the quality of education ranks high nationally."

"BYU certainly has its flaws, but I wouldn't trade my time there for anything. I had tons of opportunities to research with professors here, more than I think the average undergraduate student gets. The faculty were incredibly kind, and were genuinely interested in my well-being and my future. This summer I was invited to be a research fellow at my first choice graduate school; an opportunity I received largely because of the the work BYU allowed me to take part in during my undergraduate years."

"BYU had an excellent psychology program. It was rigorous, but also manageable. I learned quite a few techniques that I still use to this day as a counselor. If you are majoring in psychology, please do be aware that at some point you will need to get a Master's in order to work in the field. I did know that going in, so it was a good experience."
