"As a matter of fact, I have received my Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Finance program at Capella University. Capella University is one path that leads to many destinations. Capella coursework has helped me to understand the mechanics of leadership, become more resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented person for my family; and my community. On the balance, so much has changed in the second half of my life."

"I feel anyone should re-think taking the Flex Path Program. I work full-time Project Manager and had completed all 3 my assessments and the last one I was in progress and I had gotten really ill was unable to submit by the deadline date. So, therefore, they withdraw me from the school. I felt all this was unfair. I had turned in all my assignments with a Proficient score."
Laurel, Capella staff - 1/13/2017

Hi, Matt. Thank you for sharing your concerns. Im sorry to hear that youve been ill and hope you are feeling better. With the FlexPath program, learners need to complete all assessments within 12 weeks, though in certain circumstances can request an extension at the discretion of the professor if requested before the course ends. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please send us an email at learnersupport@capella.edu and include your full name and learner ID number and we will have a team member reach out to you.

"Being a parent and a full time employee, Capella made going to school manageable. The courses added to my skill set which make me marketable and competitive. What I have walked away with is an understanding that even in the midst of what life brings, I am capable."

"I started at Capella in July of 2011, transferred from Devry - BEST decision I made during my college career. Mid-January of 2016 I started in the FlexPath Program - OUTSTANDING!! I finished 6 courses in 10 months!! FlexPath is the perfect way to get your degree if you have a busy personal and work schedule. I was able to move my assessment dates up or back depending on what was happening in my life. It really fit MY schedule. No discussions, no deadlines. I worked at my own pace and loved it!! The tutors and professors were GREAT at answering questions and my adviser was amazing! She knew exactly what I needed to get the most out of my education dollars. I also have huge respect for the financial team at Capella - during my years with Capella, when finances were tough for me, they were understanding and flexible. THANK YOU!! I am #CapellaProud."

"Good School, good program. I tried other online schools this one worked the best for me. I've worked in the industry for 26 years and still got plenty out of the program. I started the MS IAS Program and have 6 classes left on that, good school, good programs... Excellent value."

"Having just completed numerous courses with Capella, I can honestly say the courses and instructors fully prepared me for the advancement of my career with real world assessments and projects. In addition, I was fully supported by coaches and instructors to succeed. I have been a regular student on a regular campus, an online student and a Flexpath student and had found all avenues to be equally challenging and rewarding. I cannot emphasize the strong support and ease with which to navigate the site and courses with Capella. I realize online schooling is becoming more acceptable and also believe that being able to navigate large projects and communications online is a great benefit in the world or ever-growing and changing technology. Best schooling experience I've ever had, and I'm fully prepared to achieve my career goals."

"I am a current learner at Capella University and I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative comments. Although everyone's experience is different, some good and others bad, it really depends on the dedication and consistency of the student. In my experience I had medical complications and had to leave the school. When attempting to return two academic advisors guided me through every step until I was re-enrolled. They even took extra time to email and call me just to see how things were going. I was septical about taking online classes but the feedback that the advisors gave boosted my level of confidence. I have never experienced that before. I thank God for another opportunity to obtain my degree and if these advisors who have never met me but only know my name and Student ID number can take time to care, I think it's safe to say that Capella cares about their learners. Also, one review spoke about the college scamming for money. As I recall my advisor recommended a cheaper course to me so that I could have more money refunded from my loan. She also recommended I take particular courses that would help me finish quicker and be applied to two required courses instead of one. Finally, the navigation though the website and course material is easy to follow. The classes are not boring either, they mix media, text and visual components in the coursework, so your not just reading through a text book day and night. I have enjoyed my experience and there are two others that I know personally, one who is a current learner and another who has graduated, they have good feedback as well. The current learner is working on a master's degree and was able to get a job in the IT field just from using the new knowledge learned in the course room. That job makes him $95k a year. He's my husband so beleive me it is beneficial. I Hope this review helps those who are looking for a fresh new start!"

"Do not go here. They are uninformative and all about making a dollar, your education is not a concern of the teachers or staff. I went here for two years and thought when I understood the process it would get better, but it only gets worst. This school will not last much longer due to their un-useful staff. The students are not very educated or ready for the work world after graduation. This is my personal experience, which is identical to many others I know that attended this school."

"I was scared at first but once my classes started it was all good. They were the only school that took all 122 of my transfer credits so I was only there for a year. I got a $8k scholarship so overall its all about what I put into it. I enjoyed it a lot. I really have nothing bad to say about the Capella"

"I am currently enrolled at Capella. It has taken me 4+ years and I will graduate in March of 2016 with a Bachelors in Bus. Mgmt. I only take 2 classes a year as that is what my employer pays for. Is Capella convenient? Yes it is? Was it worth all of the stress... meh. People say that you get out what you put in and that is very true. I've worked very hard and currently hold a 4.0. I guess my biggest issue is that I feel as though the professors don't care. I keep saying to my husband that I'd love to be a prof at Capella because their job is SO easy. The benefit to Capella and it's classes is that your itinerary (syllabus) is laid out exactly as the prof expects it. They can just go in and check-check-check and boom there's my 4.0. Yes, I'm getting really good grades because it's a program that's easy to follow but I do not feel that I'm actually retaining a lot of the information learned. I've kept all my books so that I can go back and refresh. When it's all said and done, I'll have my Bachelors but as someone else said, companies frown on Capella. I'd say they frown on online education period. therefore, once I have that diploma in hand, I'm going to make an attempt to my local University to transfer as many credits as possible and get a degree with them. I'm essentially going to mask my degree from Capella with a real degree from a reputable school. So, that is my honest reflection, it's the truth, I'm not going to sugarcoat it or cover it up. I'm not trying to talk anyone into or out of attending there but looking back, I wish I'd chosen a brick & mortar university. ."
