"Overall the experience has been good. Most of the teachers are informative and interactive. They often truly show a desire to assist the student in achieving goals. The weekly subject matter is usually challenging but the weekly discussions help generate fresh views and better understanding of the weeks subject."

"Different strokes for different folks! Each online school will have its pros and cons and Capella's no different. Unfortunately there will not be a school that 100% without flaws. This is an online institution and as far as I am concerned has done very well in terms of communication and providing me with the resources I need to be successful here. I attended a brick and mortar for my B.S. and ran into a few issues during my 4 years as I had just a few as well while in Capella but nothing to be upset about. Yes Capella is "expensive" but let's face it in comparison to what? I look at my education as an investment in myself and I understand the value of it. I received my Master's degree from here in 2013 and I am in my second quarter of my PhD program. I am very pleased with Capella. I would definitely recommend them. I currently work in higher education but still chose to go with Capella :-)"

"In a nutshell...I really enjoyed my time learning at Capella and I learned a lot in my field of Mental Health Counseling. My issue is that at least in my state of Texas I have not been able to find employment using this degree because no one has heard of a "Mental Health Counseing" degree. It was difficult to pin down at the time of enrolling that this would happen. Then way into the program I realized it would be impossible to do the internship which might have helped as it would have "licensed" me. I am unclear though if even that would have helped me find a career in my field in this state using a Capella degree.. The internship required a week out of state four times and I could not afford to do this. There is a lot more I could say but the bottom line is I could not get a position using this degree (Mental Health Counseling). In other fields at Capella it may be different. A brick and mortal school has a job placement office and some resources to help with using one's degree in one's area. Online schools located in another state are not going to have that.resource for a graduate. So I have a huge financial debt I cannot pay with student loans that I accrued. I was foolish to go this route. At the time if I was going to go back to school the only was possible for me was to do it online. I did learn a lot and find no fault with the program itself. I blame myself for not being astute enough to figure out what was coming ahead."

"I would go somewhere else. The bachelors and master's programs are okay but when it comes to the doctorate program I would definitely think twice before attending here. It seems to become a never ending wheel of spending money with no results. Save yourself some and look around. Go somewhere else. I would say a whole lot more but I will say just this. I would not recommend the doctorate program to anyone."

"I agree with some of the others learners. The school is all about money and not the students. The advisors are not helpful at all. The professors give no feedback. It seems that they give you a grade. I hate that I ever enrolled in this school. PLEASE BEWARE!!!"

"I've been attending Capella since 2010, and am 1 year away from completing my BS in Business. It hasn't been easy, be prepared to work hard to get good grades, but the instructors and advisers have been great to me every step of the way. Because of my work schedule and travel, this program has worked perfectly for me."

"Capella is a wonderful school! It was for me. I went to school online and the instructors were wonderful! If I had a problem they would email me right away or call me at home. They were understanding and I never had a problem receiving my grades. When I started the psychology program I was told upfront that I would have to maintain a 3.0 average and I did not find anything strange about this at alll. It made me stay at the top of my game. I received my degree in the mail last week and I am so proud. I am thinking very hard to see if I can get in the doctorate program and I am not a young student. Hurrah for Capella!!!"

"Like anything else in life you get out if it what you put into it. I attended a 4 year resident State university for my BA and did very few papers or projects. Did attend a lot of lectures and sat many exams. Capella, Graduate School of America when I started, was more real world experience. Professors had weekly contact with me and provided good feedback on work. Yes the tuition is a bit high but my employer offered tuition reimbursement so I didn't have an issue. Courses were well structured and easy to follow. Only advise I can offer is really research any school you plan to attend and make sure they are regionally accredited accept no other type of accredation and if they don't give you that info up front run."

"The individuals who "work" at Capella are the most difficult I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. As soon as they've got you signed up, any help they pretended to provide stops. They have many excuses as to why they can't provide things like answers to your questions, help with program advice, etc. Professors are mostly non-existent in courserooms. Grades are provided whenever they feel like posting them. Ask a professor a question and you MAY get an answer prior to the due date of the assignment but most likely NOT. Rubrics are vague and extremely subjectively worded - leaving interpretation of how you are graded to a "best guess" method. If you were thinking about this school - think again. NOT a good choice unless you like to spend money, and lot of it, for nothing."
