"Central Michigan University offered a great Biology program. Even though CMU is a university everyone of my professors made a point to learn my name and develop a personal rapport. CMU offered so many opportunities. I was able to engage in 2 years of extensive research, SI sessions, active-learning style classrooms, tutoring, math labs, clubs and extra curricular activities. The campus aura is intoxicating and addictive, you will make life-long friends with classmates and faculty."

"Central Michigan University is a great institution in the laid back setting of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. One of my favorite aspects of CMU was its campus. This is because it was small enough that I could walk to all my classes, and it never took more that 15 minutes. I also enjoyed my classes. Some were very challenging, but the instructors were fantastic and provided the resources to be successful. I am happy with my degree in biology. However, I did the general option which is very non-specific and covers a vast array of topics. The downside of this is that many employers are looking for specialized graduates, so if a student is looking to work immediately upon graduation this is not the best option. The perk of this degree, is that it's perfect for students, like me, who weren't 100% sure about the career they want to pursue. With my degree I was eligible for a huge selection of graduate programs, and after deciding on a career I was able to apply, and get accepted, into a great graduate program."

"A great place. The campus and the city aren't real nice, but the professors are knowledgeable and caring."

"Central Michigan University offers the full college feel without the big college campus. It not overwhelming or too much to handle. You can easily fill your day with back to back classes (something that cannot be done on larger campuses). Central Michigan is in the heart of the state and offers the bigtime college feel in small town USA."

"I am in my third year of attaining my Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences. I am a single mom and some of my psychology classes for my minor are online. All the chemistry and biology courses are taken on campus as lectures or labs. Central Michigan University is a great college!! It is perfect for transitioning from a small, limited-opportunities school to a place where your greatest dream is only four to five years away. The classes are designed to move along quickly yet include activities to help students remember the material. CMU want students to apply their accumulated knowledge to further studies. They love to show off their alumni! I will be one of them soon, standing proudly with my degree and thanking my son for motivating me to stay in college."

"Central Michigan University has wonderful resources available to its students with the goal of helping us achieve our own goals. Wherever you turn someone is ready to help you. The school pride and community is like no other. Students go above and beyond what is expected of them in volunteer groups and it truly is a great community. The programs here are very specific and there are many academic advisers that help with the process if it becomes confusing. I really enjoy my time at CMU because it has opened up many horizons for me, creating opportunities I didn't know existed. I would recommend CMU to future students solely on the academic achievements you can accomplish with the help of CMU's staff. It's been the best few years of my life because now I can look forward to a bright future."
