Degree: Public Relations
Graduation Year: 2015

Central Michigan University was one of the best college experiences that I could have asked for. It is a larger school that feels like you know everybody. From my first day touring campus, I remember it being the most friendly campus with everyone waving hello as I walked past. I did not get that same experience anywhere else. Central instills passion for leadership on campus, with programs such as Leadership Camp for high school students, Leadership Safari for students to meet new people and learn leadership skills as they come onto campus for the first time, and their investment in the Leadership Institute. They care extensively about student involvement, with hundreds of organizations to join and gain leadership experience, as well as community service and giving back through programs such as the Alternative Breaks program, where it is a leadership throughout the country. I highly suggest coming here as I would not be the person that I am today if I went elsewhere.

Degree: Public Relations
Graduation Year: 2010

Central Michigan University is not only an affordable institution, but it also does a great job of equipping student leaders with experience. The academic programs are created for students to learn academically while gaining professional skills and personal maturation. The registered student organization are an additional source of comfort and inclusion. The large school has a small school feel with a campus that is easily accessed for navigation purposes.

Degree: Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services, Other
Graduation Year: 2012

My experience at Central Michigan University CMU) could not have been better. The campus is just the right size; I grew up in a small town so I appreciated the simplicity of Mt. Pleasant where CMU is located, yet the student population is dense enough to provide students with that true college experience. I chose the school specifically because of the Dietetics program; Dr. Hildebrandt is the most knowledgable nutrition professor I have ever had the privilege to know and any individual interested in pursuing a degree in dietetics would learn dividends from this woman. I also joined ROTC while at CMU, which provided me with a close-knit community that was very active at the college and I made life-long friends from the program. I would highly recommend CMU to any student looking for the perfect college experience!

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2019

This is all online. It was ok I guess. The professor I had on our leadership class was totally checked out and we didnt hear from him until the end of the course. He provided no direction and didnt respond to emails. As I approached graduation I had one professor who gave me a 3.0 in the class. I had to call her out and point out specifics of the syllabus. She then had to change my grade to a 4.0. When I had emailed her about my grade she simply tossed it off and said I didnt turn in all the assignments. Which I absolutely did. She acknowledged her mistake in an email to me and I responded with my gratitude and thanking her for helping me on this life journey to further educate myself. I had no response from her which would have been nice. In my recent course the professor gave us practice questions to work on. He simply copied questions from another course he taught. So I simply copied my answers from that course. He then failed my assignment and said I coudnt do that. I get that it was lazy on my part but it was also equally lazy on his parrt. Especially since Im paying 30,000 for this degree. So Im not impressed.

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2016

Central Michigan University offered a great Biology program. Even though CMU is a university everyone of my professors made a point to learn my name and develop a personal rapport. CMU offered so many opportunities. I was able to engage in 2 years of extensive research, SI sessions, active-learning style classrooms, tutoring, math labs, clubs and extra curricular activities. The campus aura is intoxicating and addictive, you will make life-long friends with classmates and faculty.

Graduation Year: 2011

I got my master in graphic design from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran- Iran. I wrote my thesis in Islamic Art field and very satisfied of the professors and courses. Since we moved in the USA at 2014, getting a related job become a big challenge so I ended up to get another master in other field of art hopefully it would reach me up to a proper job.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

While at CMU, I have had many opportunities to learn and grown as a professional and a scholar. The Psychology Department is full of faculty genuinely interested in the success of their students. Beyond the Psychology Department, there are many ways for students to get involved on campus. With so many registered student organizations, there is something for everyone. While here, you will make friends that will last you a lifetime and gain experiences that will make you competitive in the workforce!

Degree: Communication Sciences and Disorders, General
Graduation Year: 2017

Completing my undergraduate degree at CMU was definitely the best choice for me. My time and experiences there prepared me for my master's degree that I am now pursuing in bilingual speech-language pathology. CMU's smaller class sizes and ability to conduct individual research with many of the professors while also having the diverse class selection is what makes it competitive with larger universities in the state. My time at Central was amazing and I would definitely recommend the school and the CDO program to any perspective students looking to have unique opportunities during their 4 years of undergrad.

Degree: Psychology, General
Graduation Year: 2015

For the most part every one of my professors treated students with respect and understanding. I minored in American Sign Language and legal studies, and every professor I encountered for those classes, were well educated on the subject and was always willing to help with just about everything. Some professors however, would really try their hardest to make it so you fail. One of my Psychology professors, told the class on the first day no body really passes his class, he makes it so you cannot. The campus is clean for the most part, and everything is close, you can get from one side to the other within 20 minute walk.
