Degree: Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Graduation Year: 2017

Amazing school that allows the ability to be a working mom as well as a student! The professors push you to do your best and is top notch education for an on-line program. Yes, it is an on-line program therefore, strict time management skills are required to be successful. You must also find your own clinical site. However, most schools require this.

I love this school. There are so many negative comments from people but they are all personal opinions. I love that school is flexible for those of us who are working and have families. I feel that this school provides us with the sufficient knowledge to be able to practice in my clinical setting. Yes, we have to find our clinical preceptors but that is okay because after all its a masters program there will be no one to hold your hand and nor should you expect it. I like that the online setting is very much organized and if you need help there is help available. This school is not for those people who think that they don't have to work for their degree because you get what you invest in this education. I definitely recommend this school.

Degree: Family Practice Nurse/Nursing
Graduation Year: 2017

Pros- Instructors are great and provide excellent feedbacks. I've learned a lot and enjoying being able to learn in an online environment that is flexible to my schedule. Weekly case studies are challenging but help so much with clinicals and for future practice. Cons- Need to find own clinical sites which is a difficult process, however, most schools require the same.

CCN offers working professionals the opportunity to pursue a higher education with online classes. This program requires a substantial amount of reading and writing. It will.give you back what you put into it. No secret there. Instructors are helpful

Chamberlain College of Nursing has a great online program for RN-BSN. I loved that they offered 8 week classes. The instructors were helpful and followed the guidelines set up for the classes. I was able to advance as a nurse after earning my RN-BSN. I will be attending Chamberlain College of Nursing for my MSN-FNP this Fall.

Chamberlain online allowed me what other brick and mortar schools could not. Flexibility. Otherwise my dream of obtaining a masters would not be within reach. Was the studies easy? No most certainly not. You must be dedicated and devoted to spending the time required to review and learn the material as with any other school. Did I have any issues. No more than I would have at any other school. Some instructors were awesome, others were not. That goes along with any school you attend. I am very pleased with my education, although it has been a long and time consuming 2 1/2 years. I have learned so much and I am grateful for the opportunity provided by Chamberlain to pursue my masters.

I have enjoyed the online experience which allowed me to study around work. Students complain about having to find your own preceptors. Everyone is a nurse who has worked with people in all fields. Networking is constant. I found my preceptors through past and present jobs. I believe you get back what you put in and feel prepared.

It is a great school. I have found it to be much more organized then the private school where I received my ADN. It requires a lot of hard work. Having the ability to self study is important in an online program. Instructors and staff are all profession, friendly, and helpful.

I received my BSN in 2010 from CCN-St.Louis and decided to return in 2016 for my FNP. My decision to return was based on the positive experiences during the BSN program. The MSN is a bit different as I didn't have the option of going to classes on campus but I will say CCN has given me the necessary tools to still be successful in my journey of seek a graduate degree. You get out what you put into an online education and you have to be prepared to take accountability for your progression and advancement to becoming a knowledgeable APRN. I wish we had more assistance finding preceptors but that seems to be the general consensus for NP students in most programs.
