I want to be honest in saying that a degree at Colorado Christian University comes with significantly more work than a general university, due to the demands of 180 "ministry hours" (volunteer work) before you graduate, and 180 verified chapel attendance points. It becomes very difficult to work, volunteer, attend chapel, and be a full-time student; especially if you have little to no familial financial support. But, I also want to say that I felt 100% prepared in the job force, and I secured a full-time... Read More

I attended CCU and received my Bachelor's Degree. I am now at the same school and pursuing my Master's Degree. Going to CCU is easily one of the best decisions I have ever made. I attended, and continue to, online. You do need to be self-motivated to be an online student. If you follow through with the assignments you will be fine. I graduated Summa Cum Laude because of this. Every professor that I had did everything they could to provide the best experience. I have no bad experiences with any professor.... Read More

Colorado Christian University was one of the best decisions I made when deciding on my future. The instructors are great and very knowledgeable not only with the course context; but they bring their personal experiences for the students to reflect on. The classroom size is not very overwhelming; especially, for being out of school for so long. The admin side of the house could use some improvements but that may be due to new staff and/or changes that has been occurring the past few months. Also,... Read More

This school was a great experience and a good education. I would choose it again. The professors are all incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, the class sizes are small. It's a good environment to actually learn what you're studying. They've done nothing but improve in the past few years.

Hello Everybody, I love CCU and some of the professors, I have only had one terrible professor in my A&P 2 course. In 2016 it was 6 weeks until we received any FA that was already on our accounts and this is a huge problem because by the time it posted to my bank account it was 7 weeks at that point after the semester started. This has actually been going on for a while and I do not really understand what is going on. Like someone mention in their review already on here this forces you to use a credit... Read More

I have a few complaints, one being this nursing Cohort is not up to par with other schools. They only run one cohort a year! And here is where you also get screwed, students in the nursing program who did not pass a semester take up slots so they can repeat a semester. Which leaves less available slots for people fresh coming into the program. I have finished all of my prerequisites at CCU of course. And attended the informational meeting and decided I need to transfer. I am now in a nursing program... Read More

The instruction at CCU is high quality. The teachers challenge you and expect a lot out of your performance. The instruction is appropriate for the ages of the students and gives great insight into the materials and allows the students space to explore the curriculum with the cohort and the professors. This program teaches you how to do what will be expected of you when the time comes. The administrative side of the degree can be frustrating at times but for the most part everything goes smoothly.... Read More

I really enjoy CCU but the only complaint I do have is the fall semester of 2016 Financial Aid is a mess. If you add up the time frame we will be going into week six next week, I have yet to receive my refund. Funds have already went out but nothing, I have contacted FA and still have not heard back from them. We had one week off and apparently they did not count this into week 4 when FA was supposed to go out. I have talked with other students who have this same issue. If this is how it is going... Colorado Christian University was an excellent choice for me! The school's values and the way they integrated those values within the program was exactly what I was looking for and could not be found at a public university. The accelerated format of completing a class every five weeks gave great momentum and sense of accomplishment. While the school offers to evaluate life experience for credit, I opted not to utilize it. They accepted ALL of my prior academic credits, which enabled me to complete... Read More

Great community of believers. Amazing location. Great academics with a faith based education. Small class sizes so lots of one on one time with the professors.

You will not make a mistake coming here. The work is hard no joke. I actually found my Bible courses were the hardest so far. This college is not for everyone. This school is very involved with you. Your advisor is always there. If you are looking for an easy college don't come here. One of the things you have to do to even get into this college is write an essay. I have read a few reviews where someone did not get in because of what he/she wrote. With that said you have to have some knowledge about... Read More

First, the entrance counselors are wonderful. Secondly, the counselor that was assigned to me was very helpful regarding my program and putting the classes together so that I could economize. Thirdly, most of the professors that I had interaction with were very helpful and were very interactive throughout the entire online course.

This school is based on a Christian World View no argument, with that said, the school and the staff is clear in what they want out of you. If you are taking on-line classes you are required to write 1-2 pages a week, plus take part in the thread of discussion.
I have a full time job with overtime and I am able to keep up with the work load. CCU is both online and in-seat or purely online or in school. I have mixed both and you really have the freedom to choose your work load. Religious class credits... Read More
On-line is perfect if you work long hours, or have a shy personality. I strongly suggest going to a cheaper school for you generals, I made the mistake of not doing so and I'm currently trying to figure out how I am going to repay the loan.
Oh yeah, order your books a week prior to class beginning, reading is intensive. YES I do recommend this school even if you are not strictly Christian, you learn some interesting qualities about Christianity.

I am very pleased with the school. The online lectures are out of this world. Having the ability to sit and physically listen to the instructor is awesome. The assignments can be difficult but I feel I have actulally learned from the class with all the research that must be done. Personally, I was intrigued by the accredation. So many online colleges have a great program but unfortunately they don't have the accredation to back you up once you are through with your program. So in my honest opinion... Read More
