"The faculty of the Design and Merchandising Program are very helpful and very knowledgeable. Programs are more or less tailored to students' specific interests, allowing for great flexibility and control in your learning. Overall, the school is not very academically competitive but this makes professors very supportive of any publishing or grant applications you may pursue."

"Pros: -Nationally recognized faculty -Nationally recognized terminal MA graduate program -Fully funded graduate education including 9 month living stipend -Supportive faculty (in some respects) -Demanding and challenging coursework -Opportunity for taking a class outside of the Department/University -Various certification programs available on campus Cons: -Very little diversity of student body -Little to no programs geared at cultural inclusivity -Coursework on issues of diversity and social justice watered down for the benefit of sheltered students, even at the graduate level -Faculty tensions make teamwork hard"

"Tuition would of course be cheaper if I were a Colorado resident, but it seems likely I will be able to establish residency for the second year. As with any large campus, best to take precautions at night as crime does happen and safety is an issue. CSU is large, but the occupational therapy program is limited to 50 students (highly competitive), and the faculty are not only highly knowledgeable, but very personable as well. This is one of the most highly-ranked OT programs in the nation! It's a wonderful opportunity and an honor to be a part of this program."

"This program is really wonderful. The small class sizes afford great peer collaboration and the faculty is incredibly accessible and helpful. Course work is linked throughout fieldwork which facilitates connections from classroom to practice."

"As one of the highest ranking veterinary schools and microbiology departments in the country, I am truly honored to be a Ph.D student in this college. My education and research experience is second to none, and will more than prepare me for my future as a wildlife disease specialist. Members of my cohort have done extremely well in post-graduate work, and I fully expect the same prospects. Perhaps the only con for our field as of late is the lack of federal funding, which unfortunately increases the competitiveness for grants, which can cause some tension amongst the faculty. However, overall my experience thus far has been second to none, and being located in the most beautiful region of the country is just an additional bonus!"

"I really appreciate my advisors in this program. They are very helpful, supportive, and encourage me to learn about and become passionate about my research. While signing up for my seminar and my independent study credits was still a bit confusing, overall I am very grateful to be in this program and think that it will prepare me well for my future goals."

"I completed a Master of Science and am currently enrolled in a PhD program at CSU. The cost of graduate school at CSU is competitive and there are several colleges that are well known both nationally and internationally. The quality of instruction was top notch and I love my advisor! I think grad school at CSU is a great value and I would highly recommend coming to school here."

"The DVM program at CSU is truly a phenomenal experience, but it is a very pricey one too. I think the only way to justify going to vet school at all is if it is truly your calling. If you have any doubt about that then take some extra time before committing to the cost and the program. IF becoming a vet is truly your passion, then you won't be sorry you went to CSU. The facilities are great and are constantly being updated, the instructors are top notch, and Fort Collins is an amazing place to live - there is tons to do and the cost of living is reasonable."

"Colorado State University has offered a fantastic experience for me so far! The professors are incredible researchers and are experts in their topic areas. When you go to class, you are definitely getting your money's worth. I have also noticed how committed these professors are to student success. Even those who are not formally advising my academic career are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I will get exactly what I need out of my education, whether I know I need it or not! Overall an outstanding school. The Fort Collins area is beautiful and there is always something going on around town. It is a very safe city, so I never worry too much when going out with friends at night. The only thing that would make Fort Collins better was if it was a little closer to some bigger city areas like Denver or Boulder - it's about an hour drive to get anywhere worth going outside of Fort Collins, so it's not too bad. I have to say that I love this city and my school, and I would highly recommend both to anyone looking for a great place to live or a great education!"

"The program in Atmospheric Science is top-notch! Wonderful professors, wonderful education, wonderful community. Excellent resources, with CIRA and the Colorado Climate Center located on the Atmospheric Science campus, and NCAR is less than an hour away in Boulder. The department only offers a handful of undergraduate-level courses, so there are no teaching requirements, and graduate students receive more attention from professors. Fort Collins is a great city, very affordable given the generous Atmospheric Science graduate student stipends. The only drawback I can think of is that public transportation doesn't reach the department, so you'll have to provide your own transportation. That said, Fort Collins is very bicycle-friendly, and plenty of faculty, employees, and students regularly bike to work."

"The professors are very knowledgeable and up to date, the use of technology is excellent and the people are friendly. Also, the area is fantastic! The only downside is that it was slow going for me to get in, but that really means that they are picky and only want the best students possible."
