"I wish I had thought to read reviews of this school prior to enrolling here. With that said; please be aware that this review is my opinion, and only one of many opinions, so please do your own research, and come to your own conclusions. First off, if you plan on having interaction with your instructors, you will need to look elsewhere. That's not an opinion just a simple fact, one I was unaware of prior to enrolling. I enrolled here mostly because of the lower tuition rate over my previous school; Colorado Technical University - Online. However; the money savings, is becoming questionable. I'm used to a more conventional education experience where you have an instructor/professor give a lecture, or presentation, or live chat, covering the material that will be studied for that week. Here, I have one class that has TWO, (yes 2) live chats scheduled over the ENTIRE 8 WEEKS! and my other class has NONE! I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of paying $350/credit hour to essentially do a bunch of book reports and teach myself. Granted, there is no such thing as a perfect school, CTU certainly had it's drawbacks, (aside from cost), but at least there the instructors held 2 live chats EVERY WEEK, not 2 in 8 weeks! As for the instructors, well I'm still a new student so I haven't been exposed to a large variety of instructors yet, (and it's looking like I never will be, aside from the occasional email). However, when I do email an instructor I've always gotten a response within 24 hours. Financial aid has been good in the fact that they explained everything to me, answered all my questions, and so far haven't given me any headaches. My biggest gripe is the fact that, like I stated above, I feel like I'm spending A LOT of money to be critiqued on book reports! For those who are curious this is the work load for a typical undergraduate course every week: Read Chapters 1, 2, & 14 in (insert book title), plus read these articles from 2 or 3 assorted websites. Then you Critical Thinking Assignment: Your well written paper should meet the following requirements: 3 - 4 pages in length, in addition to the title page and reference page, Formatted according to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements, Cite a minimum of two scholarly sources, at least one of which is not provided in, or linked from, the course. The CSU-Global Library is a great place to find scholarly sources! Then you have your Discussion Board post, and project portfolio as well as your mastery exercises to complete. This is each week for EACH CLASS, so if you're like me and taking 2 classes each week, then you double the work I just described. All without instructor interaction, unless you reach out to them via email or phone call. In a nutshell, I don't feel like this is the right school for me, but for others it might be just what they are looking for. The key is to find the school you're comfortable with, can afford, and will provide you with a quality education that's accredited and recognized!"

"This school has been incredible!!!! My advisor was the best advisor I have ever had. I have been to a couple different in-person colleges prior to this, and CSU Global was by far my favourite. I learnt more from my classes than when I was attending school in-person. All of the interactions I had with any CSU Global staff were positive. I just finished, and I have been getting loads of interviews and furthermore, due to the content I have learned I feel prepared for these interviews and the positions I am applying for. I cannot wait to start my Master's. Choosing CSU Global was the BEST decision I have ever made for myself."

"I completed my undergraduate degree from a different online school. This curriculum is exceptional and the counselors are very responsive. I have enjoyed all of my professors in the Master's program and will be graduating in November, 2017. The professors have been very resourceful and responsive. The course work is challenging but very interesting. I am a non-traditional student in my mid- 50's and have found that this degree has increased my knowledge base tremendously, though I have been in a leadership position in healthcare for over 25 years. The information taught is up to date and very interesting! I would highly recommend this University!"

"Despite what many of the reviews here say the educational quality of the school is fairly high. The setup with heavy reading and lengthy essays make students explore things in a very thorough manner. However, there are a large number of issues with their financial and student services. At the beginning I was told that I had room to fail or retake a few classes, however being a 3.88 GPA student luckily that hasn't been an issue. If it had been an issue I came to learn there's actually no extra room in my loans for any extra classes. I also found out that because so many classes are non-transferable there's not enough money left in my loans to even attend another school without paying out of pocket. Further I had to rework my loans myself to even be able to cover books ( they never tell you that there are terms you won't get your full grants). Coming to terms with this issue I decided to carry on. That is until yesterday, 2 weeks before finals, when my computer stopped working for no reason. Just like any other issue I had, the only solutions proposed to me or take more loans and fix it myself. They give no discounts for tech support they have no loaner computers for emergencies they have nothing to offer students in the way of services for really anything else either. The school seems to regularly use their distance to their advantage, so they can pass the buck back off to the student. I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody else, and I don't know what to do because I'm already stuck here, but all I know is I might actually fail a class because my computer broke and there was no way to get help."

"Take each review with a grain of salt...everyone is different and has had their own experiences. I just completed my second course, and I would say that the program and school have been "okay". I previously attended community college (brick and mortar), and transferred to a private university (non-profit) for my bachelors in PH. My undergraduate degree program was also accelerated and fully online. I like that the classes are at least 8 weeks long, because it allows you to absorb the information. CSU Global also provides you an extra week to turn in essay assignments without penalty. The university really caters to working professionals. Life happens, and they understand that! I received an A- in my first class and an A in my most recent course. Do your work, put in effort, and you should receive no less than a B.I have had zero problems with financial aid! The university locks in your tuition so I have never had a price increase. I also received a 10% discount because my employer uses Ed Assist, so please check with your employer to see if they offer a discount! I am saving %150.00 on each course. I will outline what I like and don't like below: Pros: * Professors provide excellent feedback, timely responses, and generally seem well qualified to teach. All of my teachers have their PhD's from prestigious universities. * The CSU Global Library and student center is very helpful! They have templates for you to use if you need help with formatting. *My Advisor is always available when I need her. My Enrollment Advisor was even better! She was so helpful. *There are weekly assignments and you are given 1 week extra to turn in assignments without penalty. *The university is a part of the CSU System which has an exceptional reputation. *The program is quite affordable when compared to other schools. You do not have to pay any "out of state" fees. * Many programs to choose from and I love that there is an abundance of specialty's to also choose from. Cons: *There is no live lecture which I feel should be required. This provides students and staff the opportunity to clarify their understanding, which is how I typically learn. Since the school does not mandate lectures, you basically have to read on your own and figure things out for yourself. It is very much a "home study" program. * You're going to feel like a robot...all classes are essentially the same (discussion, weekly essays, and final portfolio essay) *The school lacks "real world experience" opportunities. Example, my friend attends a local university (brick and mortar) and for her MBA assignment, her school partnered with businesses so that they get "hands on" experience. It would be great if CSU Global could do this for their students, I am sure it would be challenging since students are all over the country, but they should try. It would bring great value! *The school lacks any type of traveling opportunities (at least from what I am aware). Example, my friend at UC Berkeley went to Peru and now the DR for educational purposes. * When scheduling a class, you can't see who the professor will be. I love to utilize rate my professor type websites. This provides me with the opportunity to weed out any professors that I believe are sub-par."

"I thought I would give this college one more chance. Previously enrolled with CSU Global Campus in 2014 and had some issues with the Instructor, not clarifying the expectations and assisting with the course. Also, there were a number of issues around turn over for the counselors that I was assigned to. This time around, I thought I would be open minded, and realize that this in an online school. The first month was satisfactory and the counselor was helpful. The instructor or Organizational Behavior was unresponsive, didn't utilize any tools to assist with communication to the class room. The second instructor for FIN500 didn't assist with concerns around Critical Thinking questions. Also, the paper assignments were hard to find and the instructor didn't seem to care about any critiques or assisting with questions around the Critical Thinking papers. Overall, my experience is that if you are ok with just a grade, and little to no interaction with your instructors, then this is the school for you. The overall feeling about this school, is that they are in it for the Money and not teaching or educating students. I do not recommend this school. Seek a better school!"

"If you believe in a holistic approach, then this is the best school for you. I have extremely enjoyed learning here because it never put any strain on me; I tremendously enjoyed my studies here. Since I do not like timed tests, I really enjoyed tests and finals because all it required was the reflection of what I had learned through writing. The teachers, advisers, librarians are so helpful. However, do not expect to skip learning and then enjoy the environment. Everything is good only when the input is good or else you can simply say when you are willing to learn, then everything is great. There was not a single moment when I ever regretted of making this choice. So, I would definitely recommend this school. One thing to consider is that if you are not working and looking out for your university to provide resources for your hiring then this university does not offer that at all."

"I haven't had the best experience so far. I don't feel like I'm learning anything because I'm constantly having to read through lengthy chapters for critical thinking assignments which are to write huge essays EVERY WEEK. It is also required to post lengthy discussion board posts and respond to at least 2 classmates post in great length just like the other reviewer mentioned. Each class has 16 weeks of work crammed into 8 weeks. In addition to all of the weekly essays and discussion post, the final portfolio due at the end of week 8 is expected which in the classes I'm taking are 8-10 pages so unless you are working on your final portfolio each week on top of everything else you might as well forget about. I am currently enrolled full time which is two 3 credit classes per quarter. My projected graduation year is 2020 since I have 1 year of credits transferred from another college but there is no way to complete my degree by then unless I completely forget about working or my kids."

"The last 17 month at CSU-Global has been the best decision I have made when it come to getting my Masters. I was at another school before switching over to CSU-Global where I was paying a crazy tuition and still felt like I wasn't learning what I needed to help me further my career. I just finished my Masters degree and will be graduating this coming Saturday June 10th 2017. I had a wonderful experience with the instructors, classmates and courses overall. The staff and faculty are super friendly, helpful, understanding, and polite. I have had some times where I needed to turn in work late and pass the deadline and there was never an issue. This is truly an online school meaning you have to be the type of person that can learn from doing a lot of reading and interaction with other classmates during the weekly discussion module. I found that the instructors are willing to explain anything you do not understand. If you want a quality online school try CSU-Global. The programs are truly designed for working adults with families."
