"It was an average online college. The instructors were decent. Financial aid was easy to set up The cost of college is outrageous. The cost of books is outrageous. The counselor that I had was rude. It served its purpose but really did nothing to land a job. I did go on to another college to obtain my Masters degree."

"I attended Columbia College & studied Human Services because I wanted to be in the Social Service field. I'm currently working for a non for profit housing organization & what I've learned has helped me tremendously. I would recommend this degree."

"Some of these online classes are a sham, especially Working with Families by J.C. The system for online discussions rigged and will automatically deduct points from the rest of the class if everyone doesn't post or post late and you don't respond. Its a scam and when you ask the instructor, he will give you the runaround by "double talking." Then when you go to the supervisors they just deny and cover up. If you try to get records, they will not provide them to you. Bad accountability and very corrupt. You are really not learning anything as they are just out to get money, especially from military members. I wish I had never enrolled in this college. Do not take this class!"
for working adults maybe not

"The 8-week courses move so quickly you do not retain the information to get faster you must take two classes which is very difficult if you are a working adult when both classes you have research papers that must be 8 to 10 pages long You cannot have a family because you will be studying 7 days a week with these classes being at a 8 week course comma I would like to see it set at a three-month class and set instead of 8 weeks"

"What a terrific experience I had with Columbia College. I attended for just over 3 years and completed my degree in Human Services with a 4.0 GPA. That wasn't an easy accomplishment. The format (8 week semesters) helps accelerate the process while keeping the classes rigorous. Academic advisers are responsive and committed to your success. Eservices does lack some functionality but there is help available. I developed real relationships with my professors, some of whom wrote graduate school recommendation letters for me! This is simply a terrific school with a great bricks and mortar campus, a large online presence, and the academics and integrity you want in a program. No, it's not a 'big name' school but it's respected. I wish I could go there for graduate school!"
