I graduated from CSU with a BSBA in 2020. Many people are making comments about how the degrees "aren't worth the paper they're printed on" or how other schools will not accept their credits or recognize their degrees. I can speak from personal experience and say this is not true. After graduating from CSU, I pursued my master's degree at Indiana University (obviously not some hole in the wall school) and had no issue whatsoever with them recognizing my BSBA degree. CSU is a decent school for the... Read More

I had the honor of attending the online university, Columbia Southern University on and off from 2009 - 2015. I earned my Associate of Arts in 2010 in General Studies; and my Bachelor of Science in 2015 in Business of Science. The Pros: The university served to be very flexible for me. Flexibility was important because during those years I serve in Navy active duty in country (Norfolk, Virginia - at times in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean). And overseas/out of country (Setting in the middle of... Read More

I had a great experience with CSU. I read a lot of negative reviews and all of them have one thing in common, they all graduated with a Degree from Columbia Southern University. I think if the school was so bad why not go somewhere else? No matter, my adviser was very helpful, my professors gave meaningful feedback.

I went to CSU for a little over two years. I entered it with an Associate's degree and finished with my Bachelor's in Business Administration. Please disregard the review (especially the lengthy ones that go on and on...you know what they say - you can tell a liar when they try to give too much information). My only "gripe" with my experience at CSU was during my last year my academic advisor was changed twice on me. Granted I did not require their help much, but I did not like the switching of advisors.... Read More

I went here for two years and earned my BS in Business with a focus in Human Resource Management. Anyone who says the classes are easy...is lying. You have to earn your grades. Anyone who says your credits aren't transferable...hasnt done their homework. I found the professors to be engaging and informative. Whrn I got really sick and was hospitalized...I was allowed to extend my classes by 30 days which helpwd immensely. Compared to many online colleges...CSU is one of the best in my opinion.

I decided to wait until graduating to post a review, so I could share my entire experience. I graduated in 2017 with my bachelors in business administration. I loved CSU for many reasons! CSU was one of the most affordable online schools. I qualified for a Pell grant through financial aid, which paid for almost my entire schooling every term. The only things I really had to pay for out of pocket were my proctored final exams which were about $20/piece. The school, the instructors, and the staff were... Read More

I have been a student with CSU for 7 years now. Earned my CCAF and now in my last class for my BA in Business Management and Administration. I highly recommend CSU to Active Duty Military members. They are incredibly receptive to short notice taskers. The Online Life Paced option works best for me. Its an 8 week course in a 10 week period. You can turn in assignments early or late with no penalty.

I loved this school and really think it's the most affordable online degree program. Yes it requires a lot of writing and extensive research on most assignments but most of the instructors are lenient and understanding. They will work with you if you really want to achieve a good grade. In my opinion it's a great school to earn your degree and it's very doable with my busy full time job.

As stated before, experiences may differ. I never had an issue with CSU, the VA Rep was super helpful, my Academic Advisor was awesome (thanks so much Rachael, you are the best!!) and would call me periodically to check on my progress. All departments were helpful and caring, they created a great culture and I would recommend this institution to anyone interested in higher education, exceptional professionalism!!! CLASS OF 2016!!!!

As online colleges go. ...I don't have many complaints with CSU. Yes there are some things you will need to figure out on your own. Yes there will be some confusion. But if you've gone to a brick and mortar school you know there are several of both. Education is not connect the dots. Figure it out or sink. It's up to you. I've taken classes where the assessments didn't match the course work and emailed the professors who changed the grade. No idea if the inconsistency was fixed or not. If you can... Read More

This college was amazing. It was all online so I could do it at home without finding childcare for my kids. It was in my own pace yet had deadlines that were set. The deadlines were all realistic and it made completing the assignments on time easy.

Great 1st semester...the professors will help and will work with you. Only thing...have to make sure you schedule the final and a proctor...if not you will get an F. I like the school and plan on finishing my MBA. I can do this and still work as a busy Director of Operations for a restaurant group... Go Knights!!!
