"I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great classes and flexible schedule. Staff and professors were easy to reach and responded very quickly to questions. If you are employed full-time the life pace program should work well for you. Eight weeks to complete the course is sufficient time."

"I found that CSU was the best choice for me. The class style means you have to be a self starter. As long as you put in the work you can do this type of school. If you are someone who is very busy with life, this is your school. I have truly enjoyed this school and would suggest it to any firefighter or police officer I know that needs to complete their education. Great staff and impressive operation in Orange Beach AL. Many of my co-workers have spoken with me about this school and have signed up in the last year and are equally impressed. I wish them the very best as an institution of education."

"I found that CSU was the right school for me. The work load dose make you have to be a self starter. As long as you put in the work you can do this type of school. If you are someone who has to have a teacher standing over you 24-7 to finnish, this is not your school. I have recomened this school to alot of my coworkers and have had a real good response."

"Great college! Columbia Southern gave me the opportunity to work, while I was in college. My hours are different than your typical 9 to 5 job, so I could complete assignments late at night, weekends, or early in the morning. The professors were encouraging and honest. This college was a wonderful experience for me."

"It is a good school. Classes were good and dealt with my field of study. Professors were knowledgeable and helpful. Only regret I have is they are not regionally accredited, only nationally accredited, that does not take away from the education I received. Just some employers require a regionally accredited school."

"I am currently enrolled at CSU. The initial ease of getting online and completing classes at your time frame that fit your schedule is awesome. I had the vast majority of my degree completed at a local community college but they were not entirely online. Having a family, working full time and all the other aspects of life, completing my degree online is really the only option for me that works. The major problem I have with CSU is their “transfer credit process”. BUYER BEWARE! They say that they count various aspects of your training, work experience and college credits and apply them toward your degree, which is true, but only to a point. They have classes that are titled differently than you would easily recognize. Problem is, I have already taken 4 of the classes they want me to take. They did not recognize all the credits from my previous community college class and now want me to take their class, it’s the same class. I just jumped right in and started taking class after class and then when I received the same textbook I called and they said “It is a higher level class than your previous class”. So I re-took the class, never even opened the new textbook, it was actually less of a class than my previous one. Problem is now, I am at the point where if I had gone to Kaplan University, I’d be done with my AS degree and already classes toward my BA. Very frustrating, feel like it’s a money making venture and not about education. Bottom line is I will finish my AS degree and not return to CSU. Chances are they will make me retake their own classes. If you are considering this university with no previous college credits, great. If you plan on “finishing” your degree, go elsewhere. Go to Kaplan or other online college. Save yourself time and money."
