"My Creighton education is priceless. The academic atmosphere can be intense when you are surrounded by students aiming for higher education like Dental and Medical school, but that only propelled my effort and ambition. I learned so much from the attitudes and perspectives of my hard-working classmates and the professors that challenged me to think critically. The Jesuit core education provided excellent personal growth that challenged me to understand and select the values in my life. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Bolivia and Peru, earning me invaluable life and educational experience. My degrees were challenging, my professors supportive, and opportunities endless. I was published by graduation, which many friends were not able to achieve until master's level at some other universities. They give away scholarships liberally, which made this a better value than in-state public schools back home. The only negatives about Creighton are the lack of Alumni support on the coast and mandatory dorm life. The school does lack in social atmosphere compared to any large university and socializing can be frowned upon in a way that is detrimental. However, those are things the school can work on, and are not things that should prevent someone from attending. The value of my degree is endless, even if I did leave with some student loans. I have never had an issue paying my loans, getting interviews, or being selected for full-time positions with great benefits from top employers. I truly believe this is because of the public speaking and analytical skills I developed through my psychology and economics degree programs. You will not regret going to this school if you take your education (and investment in it) seriously."

"Creighton allows many great students to fail the program by way of an 80% exam score minimum. They are not concerned with how many students are unable to progress. They allowed 25-30% to fail this past fall. Students can return, but have to pay again! In addition, all completed work beyond exams does not count toward your grade if the 80% exam score is not achieved. So if you earn a B with exams and additional work, you may receive a C on your transcript. This program has not been supportive to students, and it is a very expensive school!"

"There are a good things about this school. Some places on campus had great food such as Mcgloin hall, Davis hall, and Billy Blues,but there were places on campus when the place was not great, just okay, such as Skutt Student Center and Brandeis Hall. I liked that Catholic values were instilled in the curriculum but was not forced on students. The masses at St. John's were beautiful and the Jesuit priests were really nice. I really liked that the school was not too big to where you never saw the same person twice, but it was large enough to where you could always meet new people. The class size were also great. The largest class I had was about 200 students and it was a introductory biology class. This was nice because you had a chance to get to know the professors which was good when you need to ask for letters of recommendation. The soccer games were fun because the team was really good and the players were good looking and really nice. The basketball team was not as good then as they are now, but the games were still fun. I felt relatively safe on campus. The police were always around to give rides to dorms last at night if you were too afraid to walk. Overall, I had a great experience at Creighton, I have friends that I had there that I am still friends with to this day and I graduated 7 years ago. The only downside was not the population is not diverse. The majority of students were Caucasian, but a large percentage were Asians. There were few African American students and even fewer Latino students. I am the only African American female in the classes which was fine, but sometimes it was uncomfortable. I never faced any overt racism. People are really nice here, that's another thing I liked about Creighton University, rarely would you encounter a rude person here."

"To be a viable contender for quality MFA students, Creighton needs to provide full funding to all its candidates, like almost every other school on several top 10, 20, 50 lists of MFA granting institutions do. Expecting graduate students, who will have very little free time, to also have a job or else take out additional loans, is the same as accepting a bare minimum in terms of institutional responsibility and consideration for a student's future success."

"The MFA program is a great opportunity that truly gives out what you put in. I do wish, however, that there was more funding available and that all MFA candidates would receive stipends in exchange for assistantships, like most MFA programs in the U.S. offer."

At Creighton University, it is clear that the faculty and staff care deeply and personally about the students. They are willing to go the extra mile to help out. Classes are challenging, but rewarding. No class will leave you unchanged. I personally believe that Creighton University is one of the best places to prepare you for your future career, whatever it may be."

"Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions has had an extremely positive impact on my future. The faculty members and guest lecturers are all teaching because they have a passion for it and want to prepare the next generation of health care providers for practice. The pharmacy curriculum is constantly under revision to provide the most current guidelines and practices for new pharmacists. There are so many opportunities to practice patient counseling and clinical skills so that when you make it to the advanced practice rotations in the 4th year, you are adequately prepared."

"The University offers numerous opportunities to utilize the skills you are learning within the classroom setting. There is also great emphasis placed on service; helping one another, this reflects the school and students values. Although the curriculum is very holistic the school does lack diversity in both the classroom setting in all programs, there needs to be more emphasis based on recruiting such individuals."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Creighton. It isn't a great school that pushed me to become the best version of myself and challenged me to look at society and issues in ways I had not previously done so. Creighton is a school that will make you a better, more well-rounded person, instead of just focusing on developing your academic side. At the same time, it is still academically challenging and highly regarded nationwide. With a smaller school size, it fosters a close knit community, where you are able to know most of your classmates and teachers on a personal level. It also has a lower campus crime rate. I personally never felt scared for my safety, whereas some friend I have at larger state schools received multiple campus safety alerts per week. Overall, Creighton is a great institution and I would recommend anyone to attend."

"Creighton University was overall a very good experience. It was an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program that was only 11 months. That made the program very intense and rigorous, but also enabled the students to start their careers quickly. A lot of the professors were very helpful, compassionate, and wonderful nurses. Some came across as though they'd rather be researching than teaching and seemed a bit out of touch with the students. The material taught in lectures was usually very succinct and easy to comprehend. Many of the professors used real-world experiences they had been through to help us as the students understand the material and remember it. My fellow students are really what got me through this challenging experience. The year I attended this program, there were less than 50 people in my class. This size of cohort made it easy to get to know everyone. Students came from across the United States so we had a great group from many different cities and states. The clinical experience was very good overall. Once I starting working as an RN I had the usual new nurse jitters but felt confident and competent. I recently applied to graduate school and a few professors were excited and happy to write me recommendations for school. I would not recommend working during the Accelerated BSN program as it would be extremely challenging. One last note would be that this is a private Catholic school. With that came a small amount of religion incorporated in classes, as well as a larger tuition bill. I personally did not feel any religion was being forced on me. The school just refers to some Catholic values when talking about nursing."

"Creighton University's Jesuit values cultivate a tight knit community, which values well rounded students, who take rigorous classes, participate in extracurricular activities and volunteer both locally as well as internationally. I studied abroad for a semester in the Dominican Republic at Creighton's Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC). Creighton's ILAC center provides opportunities for students to study (medicine, social justice, history, spanish) and live abroad on a short or long term basis. My experience at ILAC formed me into the woman that I am today and is the reason that I am pursuing my Masters in Social Work. Professors not only have strong academic credentials but also have extensive experience in their fields and genuine care for their students; Iam still regularly in contact with a handful of professors. I graduated from Creighton four years ago, but I still call it home."

"Creighton University offers rigorous coursework and outstanding teachers. I was a biology major and I was very satisfied with most teachers in this department. Outside of quality of courses, Creighton also offers guidance for students through career advising and counseling. This is a school that you can truly feel cared about as a student. Some schools make you feel as though you are just another number and I have never felt that way at Creighton."

"I now currently in graduate school 10 years later pursing a MHA/MSN degree. Creighton teaching methods were consistent and rigorous even for a BSN program. I considered them the best BSN program in the Midwest. Quality instruction earned me a 4.0, valedictorian. I was able to tutor the other students. I wished we have more clinical hours. The first 2 years of a BSN program are spend in the 'general studies' portion and being a Jesuit college it required taking classes with 9 hours with a religious focus. The last 2 years were the nursing portion. I was hungry for knowledge. It prepared me for a 400 hour preceptor ship in the pediatric intensive care unit. The instructors were listened to student questions and responded appropriately. Class sizes were small which allowed for group discussion. Campus itself was beautiful."

"Creighton University is a great choice for people who wish to return to school to complete their degree. The curriculum is challenging but the entire University staff and fellow classmates are very supportive. The online program allows me to balance work with school easily as I can complete the assignments at a time that is cohesive to my work and family's schedule. I am so happy that I returned to school and look forward to graduation ao that I can begin the Master's Program at Creighton."
