"Professors and classes are great, other then that a horrible experience. They promote it as a diverse setting; It's not. Geographically diverse, yes. Culturally, no. Unless you're coming from an East Coast Prep School or have Legacy ties forget it, You're a second class citizen. Requirements for Legacy's are lower than the standards for incoming freshman. If you're an athlete, Please be careful of their Predatory recruiting. The coach's will talk to you but not your parents. They will make promises and tell you what you want to hear to get you to commit ED. I specifically asked if I should get my parents involved and the coach said, "no, I understand what you're asking. Here is my plan for you", The minute the coach said no we don't need to get your parents involved he went from Recruiting me to Preying on me. When brought to the attention of the President and Athletic Director about these predatory recruiting practices, their response was nothing was done wrong. I would consider other Universities."

"While the University provided an excellent education, a BA is no longer useful to be economically self-sufficient. Further studies will be required or working a job, after school, which does not necessarily require a college education. The school had some peoples of different backgrounds; however, greek life and elitism are still at the center of campus culture. The campus is beautiful, but it is however, completely isolated. You will need a car if you don't plan to spend your entire time confined to the campus premises."

"The French program at Denison University goes beyond language and literature, immersing students in the cultures, histories and politics of Francophone countries across the world. The small classes at Denison are an ideal environment for learning a new language, as faculty provides personalized attention you will not get at a large university. French cafe, the Modern Language house and trips to the French film festival are several resources offered to students for experience working with the language and culture."

"Denison University is set in the most picturesque location in mid-Ohio, drawing students from all over the country. I had nothing but positive classroom experiences with the tenured faculty, but I would recommend caution enrolling in classes with visiting professors. Some were incredible, some not so much. Each student is assigned a faculty mentor, and has the ability to change that mentor after their first semester. I developed a great relationship with my advisor and maintained the same one for four years. There is ample opportunity for student research, both small school based projects, up to NIH level grants. I was involved in athletics both fall, winter, and spring and served as team captain. Denison has a robust athletic community, strongly based in involvement rather than a strong fan base that you would see at a state school. There are more clubs than you could ever want, and there is a strong support network. Service organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters offers opportunity to become involved in the local community. I truly felt that anyone could find a community of friends at Denison. The party scene is improving, both in fun and in safety. Our new president, Adam Weinberg, is doing a fantastic job of developing new policies that benefit the school, and advocating for Denison on the national scale. I don't think I truly appreciated the wonderful friends, academic experience, and positive mentorship I experienced at Denison until after I graduated."

"Denison University has excellent academic prestige. The curriculum is rigorous and professors except a great deal of their students. Because it is a small school in a small community, the bonds you form with your fellow students and your professors is incomparable."

"Denison is the quintessential Liberal Arts experience--dinner at the president's house, campus-wide community conversations, and facial recognition of every student, professor, and staff member. Denison taught me how to think critically, ask questions, and make life long friends. While the academics were very difficult, I feel very prepared in my post-degree life to multitask, prioritize, and communicate with others in an effective manner."

"I think that Denison had the perfect sized student body for me. It was small enough that I felt like I was in a familiar, close-knit community, but large enough that I also felt like there were always new people to meet. I also loved that every student lived on campus for all four years - it really improved the feeling of community."

"Denison was the perfect school for me. It has amazing academics facilities, top notch professors, and a beautiful campus. The relationships I made there will last a lifetime and the alumni network has already helped me land a job. I became friends with professors and coaches and administrators, all people who have influenced me and who have helped me in my personal, athletic, and academic growth. At Denison I succeeded in all aspects related to my college experienced, for me it is the best school in the nation, hands down."

"Provides an unbelievable hands on experience and provides ample opportunities to work 1-on-1 with professors on extended research which made my educational experience complete. It prepared me well for life after college because the small school feel forces you to embrace difficult situations without anywhere to "hide". It's easy to assume leadership positions and stand out."
