"I will give my honest opinion about this school which I am currently attending. Before I decided to enrolled I did my research and I found a lot of bad reviews which maked me hesitant about enrolling. Still I gave it a shot and I enrolled. It is expensive but for me its worth it. First of all all the program is online which it was what I was looking for. My instructors have on top of everything and they answer whatever question you might have fast. Assignments are graded in a timely manner and I had received the help I needed it from my academic advisor. The downside it's that the classes are fast paced and it is really easy to fail a class or get behind in your assignments so you really need to be disciplined, self-motivated and do your work to stay on track otherwise you'll fail. Devry it's a really good institution but it's NOT everybody. But you gotta understand that just because it didn't work for someone doesn't mean it's not gonna work for you. I attended my community college for over two years and as much I tried it wasnt for me the classes were really fast paced and there were 50 students in a class so I always got behind in all my work because I wasnt learning as fast as the others and I felt the instructor couldn't keep up with all the students. Thats my personal experience with a community college, but once again we are all different. With DeVry even though there is a large group of people in every class I feel I have more control and I receive the help when I need it. If you are interested in enrolling but are hesitant because of other people's negative reviews my advice will be to enroll . You'll never know if it works till you actually do it."

"As a VETERAN, I do NOT recommend. I was harassed by being threatened with withdrawal from course at week 5 because I questioned something the Professor mentioned. I had a question and the Professor took offense by it and sent me a message, this is not a joke, he said "you are not a smart person and you attacked my academic reference." He also mentioned discontinuing me from the course. Long story short, there was a case opened because this Professor was excluding me from the coursework and telling my team members that they should not communicate with me. This Professor, is a veteran and he knew that my husband is an active duty member and that I myself is a fellow veteran. The Deans that took on this case were of no help, everything was swept under the rug. My GPA dropped from a 3.97 to a 3.92 because he waited to the very last week (Week 8) to drop my grade a whole point average by giving me a 0 on a final assignment with no explanation. I completed all assignments and when I reached out to the professor and his superior, my case was passed from one person to the next without a solution. Then I found out later that they closed the case without my knowledge and no resolution. My husband already reached out to VA about the matter and found out that there are many complaints from veterans on DeVry. We have a lawyer because I do not wish this kind of treatment, harassment and reprisal, to happen to anyone else."

"I am a proponent of online education; however you must understand that although it allows you to fit school around your schedule, it does require a lot more commitment and self determination to learn the material and apply it. You are in essence teaching yourself the material with exception to a small amount of instruction from the faculty member. There isn't live lectures, mandatory classes, etc. It is "here is the material, learn it, read the book and apply it". So it does require a significant amount of self discipline to get through an online program. If you have that then this will work great for you."

"Good school if you want to get a lot of experience quick. I had to put in work every 8 weeks and hustle. The advisors were always nice and available. They always explained what was going on. Professors have great work experience that bring a lot to the lectures rather than just book smart on a topic."

"I have to agree with the other reviewers. When I first transfer to DeVry, I received a lot of attention and they assured me that there was always going to be help available with questions/concerns. During my first semester, I took two classes. Mind you these are the same two classes I previously took at another College but DeVry said they were not at the level that they wanted so I had to take them again. One of the classes, I thought was very easy. I logged in twice a week since that was the class schedule. The teacher gave me a d for participation. When I asked her why, she says that I'm on there but I am not participating in the discussions. So I started getting involved in the discussions and asking stupid questions since I already knew all this material from a previous class. Then the teacher stated that I should log in everyday to get full participation grade. Both of these classes were a joke. I decided that I was going to change to another school. These two classes added up to over $8,000 to my financial aid school loan. Really? This is not Yale...although I know that one is very expensive, they truly believe that this school's tuition is as great as a top notch College. Oh, & where is the help that they assured where. On top of the over $8,000 bill, the school auto-enrolled me into another course without informing me and I moved from my house. Davey is charging me an additional $500 separately for abandoning the course and they're holding my transcripts until I pay the $500 preventing me from furthering my studies at another school. Yes, beware of this school. Anytime an organization has to lure you and tells you this is the best, it's because it isn't."

"DeVry University, is underrated. I feel that this University deserves an around of applause. My personal experience was fabulous! I lived on campus when we had dorms at the Fremont, CA campus for 1 year and I loved it. I started my journey in 2015 and now 2.5 years later, I have my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. DeVry prepares you for the real world. This school gives you the tools to advance your skills and to practice your skills on the job. I'm currently, going for my MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management management. To all the future students, don't let someone else's bad experience discourage you from futhering your education. DeVry University is a wonderful school and they really do care about the students here. Don't believe what you read. Come and see for yourself:)"

"Expensive, but worth every penny. This school is very good in preparing students like myself for a career in business. Especially when trying to balance work, school and children. Also, combined with the technology aspect for advancement in my future."

"I hate Devry University. What a terrible experience. You can call in and speak to hundreds of different people and get different answers. I have spent so much time and hassle sorting out student finances and WASTED so much time because one person would tell me something only to find out that what they told me wasn't true. I will NEVER"

"My degree is a BS in Technical Management. DeVry uses this degree to give course credit based on past experience, military training, and non-transferable classes allowing you to finish your degree quicker. I started with the school at 48 years old because finishing a degree was always important to me. My opinion of DeVry is that they are committed to you completing your degree as long as you are committed to completing your degree. Like traditional schools I've attended courses are not always fun but they are concise and immediately applicable. I especially appreciate the compressed schedule but it's hard work. I'm proud of my degree. It's opened doors that were not previously available and I haven't heard anyone address the education as inferior."

"Devry is a great school for engineers or professionals looking to receive your degree from a school that works around your schedule. It doesn't make too much difference where you get your degree, it's the amount of work you put into your career after school."
