I was in the Business Management Program with a concentration on Technical management The professors and staff here at DeVry University in Westminster Colorado are the best. If you need anything or just need to talk because you are so overwhelmed whether at school or at home there doors are always open 24/7. The Aspire program is the best because I used it and it is a great tool that DeVry has to help the students. Go attend DeVry University it is well worth it.
I am very very satisfied with choosing DeVry University. I have received exceptional professional assistance from everyone I came in contact with. I didn't know what I was doing at first, I was scared to take that first step. I did and the caring staff walked me all the way to graduation day. I am proud of myself and I am very thankful for the exceptional support I received. We can all do it with the right support, but remember you have to do your part!
Excellent program for motivated people with more than one thing going on. You get what you put in and more! The advising staff was diligent and responsive to my needs. The credits are reasonably priced. I chose Devry initially because it's an online school everyone has at least heard of. Now I'm happy I did because they made getting my bachelor's pretty painless and took all my old credits from Albion College.
DeVry teaches you the best tool you need for your goals. The professors are committed in helping you to the last effort of making sure you understand the concept of the daily topics and can apply it correctly. I have been out for 3 years for financial reason, now DeVry gave second chance to return by offering me scholarships and school grants that helped me retain my confidence to complete my degree. I am very close to receive my first degree in my life. I hope it lands me on my dream job. Thank you all.
The teachers at this university are great. The only drawback is that if you have classes and less than 8 people are interested in attending, there is no live class, rather you have to do the online class.
I am a veteran and used my G.I. Bill benefits to attend the University. I took a class back in May, I completed the class and took the final exam but since then I have been receiving bills from the Veterans Administration stating that I dropped out of the class and was withdrawn from the course. I sent in a request to Devry to have the withdrawal changed to a letter grade and was told that they couldn't' do anything for me. Now I owe Devry University and the Veterans Administration money for a class that I attended and completed. I have sent numerous emails and talked to numerous people about the matter trying to get it fixed and nobody cared enough to understand that I was wrongfully withdrawn from a class and just wanted to have it changed to a grade. I receive a small check every month for disability from the Veterans Administration and they are going to start withholding that money until they are paid back in full for the class that they paid me to take so I contacted Devry and told them that I did not withdraw from the class, I completed the class and took the final exam and needed the withdrawal changed to a grade so that I can show the veterans administration that I didn't drop out or withdraw and keep from withholding my disability money and forcing me to pay back money for a class that I should have never been withdrawn from. If your a veteran reading this do not use your G.I. Bill benefits to attend Devry University. Go to any other institution but Devry.
DeVry was okay. I feel that their education platform and system can be easily manipulated to coast through as some of my classmates did.
This is the worse school you can ever go to. If you want to learn something this is not the place for you. The professors are a joke. If you need help with an online course and ask question they do everything but answer the question. Their iLabs are a joke along with tech support. They have so many outside supports for different items that no one know what the other is doing. If this is a tech school why can't they troubleshoot their own problems. When I complained it went all the way to the dean and his answer was to address my issue with the professor, whom by the way I was complaining about. The reason for the complaint was the professor was not helping me or answering my questions. If I could do it all over again I would never joined this school, it is a wonder why they are close down some of their campuses which they failed to mention when I signed up that the campus I was going to would be closing down 6 months later.
This school is a scam! they are a profit only school. They assured that would be able to graduate with plenty of funding , however that was a lie.. they ripped my financial funding a new one. I now need 38k to graduate from a decent afforldable college. I have no more federal funding and they refuse to offer they only scholarship program they have, even though I have a 3.6 gpa . They send you links to BS scholarship websites. they will not assist with money. Do not waste your time for PROFIT only schools... do your research people.. I became that statistic.
This review goes out to all of my fellow Veterans and or Active Duty. Do not attend Devry university or their affiliates. They will take advantage of you and steal your hard earned benefits. I attended Devry as well as Keller Graduate School of Management where I obtained my Bachelor's and MBA. However it was not until my MBA when I discovered how much of a scam they really are. First I had them charge me for a class that I took under their recommendation and 5 months later I get a Bill from the VA stating I owed tuition as well as BAH for the class since it was considered transfer credits. It turns out I did not have to take the class because of one of the classes from my Bachelors Degree counted for it. However they went ahead and charged me for it and VA. If I had not fought it I would had paid back the school more than they made on the class plus fees. It took me almost 3 months to get this sorted out and after the fact instead of paying it back out of their pocket they simply found a GRANT (tax money) to pay the money owed. Sounds like Fraud to me. Next I was charged for a class from Devry that I had to withdraw from even though they got paid by VA for the class. Again they investigated and found that they were to fault so what did they do. Grant money was used to clear my account of all charges. The final straw came in November of 2014 when I got notice that my GI Bill benefits were not being certified by Devry anymore because I had gotten a D+ in one class which is still passing according to Devry and I can graduate with it but apparently that grade caused me to drop below a 3.0 which CUT my entire GI Bill benefits including BAH, Tuition and book payments. This would continue until July 2015 when they said I brought my GPA up enough to prove I was worthy. However the issue I see is why did I get punished for something that is not failing or wrong. I did not fail the class and it was good enough to graduate with so why punish be by stopping my benefits and then making me take out Federal Loans which I can never make enough to pay back. They manipulate the system so that they do not have to work so hard for their money. It is much simpler to punish veterans by not completing some rule so they can use Federal Aid which the VA will not back you up on since that means they do not have to pay out more money. They leave their rules open for the schools to manipulate so they can save money. They punished me for almost $15,000 of my own benefit money not to mention the debt they have put me in which the interest alone is going to kill me and my credit. They are good at wasting federal taxpayers money since almost all Honorable Discharged Veterans have a GI Bill and some rely on this money to survive. However they do not care about Veterans nor anybody else for that matter. Punishing somebody by taking their hard earned benefits away is stealing, unethical and morally wrong. I filed complaints with the VA GI Bill compliance Team, Devry and Keller Finance Officials as well as the Dean of Students. None of them see the moral issue they are violating. They discriminate based on Financial aid and take advantage of people that do not monitor their own accounts. They steal from hard working Americans and justify it by a so called Higher Education Learning Accreditation which makes them maintain a 3.0 or else you will lose your hard earned Veteran's Benefits and become so far in debt you will never get out.
