"EMU was a university that used a cohort to move through the program so you knew your classmates and encouraged each other as we progressed through the program. The professors were very knowledgeable on their subject matter and their door was always open and gave us phone numbers to contact them on anything as the class was in session. Weekend classes and excelled courses fit well into my teaching schedule. The excelled pace classes were great in the summer- one week class (Mon-Fri) was 3 credits."

"Great community. The school was very tight-knit and welcoming to all types of people. The school also has an excellent study abroad program to help students see cultures outside of the United States."

"The education program at EMU is excellent. Education students are taught not only about best teaching practices, but how to relate to their students through care and communication. Professors are there for students on a regular basis to help them develop their skills. Students are given many opportunities in the classroom from the very beginning of the program."

"I had a wonderful experience at EMU! The small student body allows professors to build and personal and engaging relationship with the students! I felt like my professors cared about my success at EMU. When I interview at prospective jobs they seem to always comment on what a wonderful school it is."

"EMU was a great place to define myself as a person because I was surrounded by professors, faculty, staff, and other students who had a desire for continuous growth both in education and in life. EMU prepared me for an ever-changing world by encouraging me to question and discuss anything and everything. EMU maintains an open-mindedness in education and current issues to allow and promote discussion among many students with differing beliefs. In a world that often frowns upon difference of any sort, it was refreshing to have a space where opinions and concerns could be shared without judgement. On top of all that academic jargon, EMU was a great place to make long lasting friendships and have fun! Dumpster diving, late night movies, and all things college are evident here! I wouldn't have wanted to spent my college years anywhere else!"

"EMS is an excellent school for formational and practical education for pastoral studies, Christian education, counseling, and has the Center of Justice and Peace. I have attended two years so far, and found it to be transformational and preparatory for pastoral leadership and growth."
