"Some aspects of this school I would like to mention, especially in regards to the engineering programs. They will advertise to you hands on experience, but then you will be told the technology isn't available for student use. You are permitted to use breadboards to build very basic circuits, but when it comes to PLC and robotics training those items are off limits. They will charge you $2.8k per semester for room and board, yet neither are made available. During my time at this school, it has been clear that the majority of the instructors do not care about your success. There are some that absolutely do, but the vast majority of them read power points to you then give meaningless grades for assignments. A large number of mistakes are to be found throughout the curriculum and quite often, the instructors either do nothing about it or cannot change it. The only upside to this school is their career services department has quite a lot of partnerships to assist with finding a career. Understand, however, this school is not grooming you to be an engineer but a technician."

"ECPI was a perfect fit for my post retirement and kick off into a new career field. Having the degree from ECPI propelled me into a much higher pay scale and enhanced my military experience. The school worked diligently in providing everything I needed to assist me on this endeavor."

"I’ve attended and graduated from online schools before but this is pathetic. Multiple external links. Idiotic professors, complete garbage. I can’t believe the VA endorses this garbage. I’m leaving and if you choose to attend, best wishes. I learned about feelings in my engineering curriculum."

"This is an accelerated online curriculum. Many negative reviews come from those not prepared for the time, effort, and responsibility that requires. I transferred a few credits and completed my B.S. EET in a little under two years. The accelerated program will put a strain on your personal/social life regardless of your situation, but I have a wife and three children under 11 years old, a 50+ hour a week job and can serve as proof that it can be accomplished. The professors will not drag you in to a meeting to help if you're having trouble with coursework; there has to be a line of communication open. My professors and administration staff were always available if and when I needed and asked for help. A key to remember is that this a curriculum / program for adult minded and responsible individuals. You get out what you put in. I have graduated less than 3 months ago and have found a career in related to my degree making more than I was at my previous employer. For me, the schedule and curriculum worked. This will not be the case for all...Good luck."

"Honestly, it's a surprisingly phenomenal school. I was expecting a degree mill, but absolutely not. I work at my own pace and have all the tools I could possibly need to succeed. I highly recommend their engineering programs if you are looking for an affordable school where you will actually learn and be challenged. I have learned more here in 2 semesters than I have at any traditional school I have been to. Be prepared for hard work, and self-discipline. That one kid that's talking about easy classes, yeah the regular classes like art/writing/sociology etc, those classes are hella easy. When you get to the engineering part of things though, like when you are a junior the classes are extremely challenging. More than traditional schooling I would say. Honestly, it depends how much you put into it. If you work hard, you will get the most out of their Mechatronics program."

"Do not listen to the bad reviews. The vast majority of the bad reviews are from students who, apparently, couldn't handle the accelerated work load or, in some cases, just aren't smart enough for college. One fellow gave a bad rating, because he failed his ex-tern-ship 3 times, and the school gave him the boot with no degree. Seriously, he was lucky he got three chances. Here is a quote from another review, "Out of my 2 year Associates program, for the first year I wasn't taught anything relevant. Physics? Public speaking??" Are you kidding me? The goofball insinuated that physics and public speaking are not relevant in a college curriculum. Really? REALLY? It's no surprise that he is having trouble finding success. Of course, according to him, it is ECPI's fault. Here is another quote from a poor review. "I was having issues with math (SUPPOSABLY beginning algebra)." LOL, need I say more? O.K., so, here is the deal. ECPI is a real college with the same accreditation as any other traditional college (except ABET, but they are getting close). People think they can just slide by with minimum effort. No, it is hard work that requires effort to be successful. Further, the curriculum is accelerated; so, that effort in most cases, is even greater than that required by a traditional college. Before joining ECPI, I read a great number of reviews. If you pay close attention, you get the sense that the bad reviews tend to come from those who are bad students. I, on the other hand, take my education seriously. I am learning and working and studying my ass off. I just got hired as a Senior After Market Test Engineer and I haven't even completed the degree. Granted, I have past experience, but my new boss said, and I quote, " We have had plenty of success hiring ECPI students in the past. Also, students with your GPA and attendance record generally show the same effort in their career. Will you except the position?" So, there it is. ECPI is a great school. You get out what you put in."

"I have been in many school in and out of the military and I can normally grasp a concept quickly. With these online classes it is mostly just read these 2 chapters and answer these questions. For the majority of my classes I would forget the information just after reading it. There were no work sheets or practical use training, and on several occasions the information in the quizzes was not in the reading or the lectures. There were also ridiculous assignments like write a 3 page paper on a concept that we are learning in a math class or write a 7 page research paper on a simple theory in the electronics class. All of this while attempting to decypher the poorly written text over and over. I brought all this up to the instructors and the administration and was basicly told that the school was certified and if I did not like it then I could go somewhere else. So.basicly if you already know everything there is to know about a degree then go to this school. If you want to actually learn something find someplace else."
