"I would say I graduated from this school with a nursing degree, but the college is not organized at all. They are known to do underhand things such as grades, financial and favoritism. The school tries to push you into the program quickly while you're trying to decide weather it's the best choice for you. Ecpi will cancel your application then try to make you retake more prerequisites you do not need. Seek other nursing program before going here. Another reason I was indecisive, its way too too expensive."

They are mean and disrespectful to the students. They act like they are doing us a favor by teaching them. Go ANYWHERE else to get your degree. ECPI (and the DON) are disgraceful. "I don't understand why ecpi will not accept transfered classes from an accredited college if it is a B or C. This is not right when you can't even transfer ecpi classes anywhere. There were so many things that I didn't like . The teachers would lie. They nned to just reove everyone that is over nursing and strat over."

"This school is a hot mess! Let me start from the beginning. First, the director of nursing is not helpful at all. You come to her as an adult and she takes it as you are complaining. She will belittle you and make it seem like you don't know what you are talking about. If she is suppose to be the director why is she not directing? She shows no leadership skills at all. Every time you advocate for yourself, they take that as a "complaint." In all reality, this is my time and money being invested and I would like to make sure I'm getting what I paid for. The assistant director is nice, but not helpful to concerns. She relays information to the director of nursing just for nothing to happen. The president of this campus isn't helpful at all either. You go to her about the "educators" here and she doesn't listen to what you have to say at all. Finally, the educators just doesn't know how to educate! They are disrespectful to students here. This school/campus is a waste of your time/money! You don't receive everything that they are suppose to offer here! They do not listen to students concerns! Save you time, money, and breath. They won't listen to you anyways."

"This school is a joke!!! DO NOT waste your time or your money. They make everything look like sunshine and rainbows during the enrollment process and then change everything! You never get a response when you question anything. Certain faculty members talk to you like you are beneath them. The technical support is a joke!!! The all around support that you receive from the school is a joke!!! There are very few educators that know what to teach and how to teach. The worst part of the program is that they expect you do be professional and pass with a 80%, that is very hard when they aren’t professional at all and you do not receive the proper instructional material to pass with a 80%. So..rethink your decision about this school. Please go elsewhere!!!"

"Initially I was in the RN program. Failed nursing psych with a 79.1, had to sit out for a month or so and retook the class and passed with a high B. Failed med surge 1 with a 76 had to sit out for 2-3 months and retook it and got an A. Failed acute care with a 78, no retakes, had a board meeting with my husband who was active duty military, no one cared that he was on deployment and I was taking care of my baby while going to school. No one cared that had I been able to turn in my 1st week of class quizzes online i would have passed. Went into the lpn program and had to retake pretty much every class. I owe this school an outrageous amount of money for an lpn certificate. When I tried to get my RN, the school said I had 3 failures even though they admitted the grades received at ecpi wouldn't have been considered failures for their school, but they had to accept the Fs that were placed beside them. I have never recommended this school and I graduated from it."

"Not only is this school more expensive than other schools, they set you up to fail. You still have to pay money even if you fail after one term, in which you will have to wait a whole year to retake. They don’t offer classes while waiting. I wish I would’ve listened to reviews before going. They offer day classes every month, but night classes you would have to wait a year if they have a sit for you. Advisors and teachers don’t care, they say they will help you but they don’t. RUN, DONT GO HERE. They don’t offer any help. Also, my advisor tried to make me take medical assistant instead of nursing, and to quit my job to attend day instead of night classes, why? I will never know. I wish other schools offered night classes. Lastly, you teach yourself, they just give you a lot of work that’s it!"

"This college is horrible. They fail students on purpose to get that extra money. They do not keep your information update to tuition options so when you set out or fail a class you still paying money. A 14 month program will end up for me 2 years and 5 months. I'm looking into other college that's closer to me rather than an hour away. I will not or recommend this college. The instructors do not know how to teach. They put teachers in a class they have not taught before and as they told us we were their guinea pigs. The college is way to expensive. They set you up to fail. Financial services is a joke. You ask for an audit bill and they email it to you in pencil. Something is not right with the financial services. That needs to be look into. The whole college itself general needs to be look into. I'm not saying all ECPI University college is horrible but I know the one I attended in Roanoke Va is."

"This school is horrible please do not waste your time with this school, its a bunch of lies ,the instructors are horrible they dont want to teach you and are very childish .They are not for the students at all they are money driven ,please dont waste $40,000.00 on this school go elsewhere and do your research before hand or you will make the worst mistake of your life. This program is accelerated so you are literally cramming information in just 5 weeks which is extremely hard when some instructors dont teach you its self taught. This bridge program was a lie when I first signed up they said it will take 8 months to get my RN after the LPN and now it switched to 12months and the program changes daily. They are very unorganized,unprofessional and more I dont recommend this school at all they need to shut it down ."

"I still attend this school and I love it. I feel like my advisor and the faculty care. This is an accelerated program. You have 5 weeks for each course. Memorization is required for some material, but it will be hard if you do not Understand the material and make connections with real world things. Its the same at any school you go to. Every college I've went to has told students to do outside research to make connections. The grading standards are high. Do you want a nurse caring for you or a loved one who only had to make the bare minimum D to pass? Or someone who had to work their butt of for an A or B in EVERY course or they'd have to repeat it? Many students drop out because of high demands. If you miss one day, its hard to catch up so in the winter a lot of flu goes around because no one wants to fail. But I love my school. And will be taking the RN and the RN to BSN once I'm done with LPN. My goal is to be a NP."

"Ecpi say almost anything to get you enrolled in their programs. They say they work with their students to achieve success. Lies. They say they work with your schedule and understands the obstacles some may have in acquiring an education..lies. this school is money driven. They lie about their student graduation rates. I personally witnessed a graduation ceremony for one passing nursing student for the 16 months enrollment..I feel they should be investigated by the education Dept. Students can't transfer credits to other schools and even if you are determined to achieve your goals, they find ways to kick u out the program and your money is lost. Up to $40,000. You are left in debt. If I knew the way they operated, I would have gone and tried my luck elsewhere.. please be careful with choosing a for profit college or educational institution.. Ecpi lies about their graduation rates and is not interested in ppl achieving goals. It's all a scam."

"I am writing this review to help those looking to further their education. Please look at going to a different school. They are highly unorganized and unprofessional in many aspects. You pay 4-5 times more than you would somewhere else. The directors do not have the students best interest in their job description and do not care about any of the students. Most of the teachers are amateurs and unqualified, meaning they have no business fulfilling a position as a teacher. *** Their credits do not transfer to any other school whatsoever. If you start here you will either have to finish here or start over somewhere else. If you start in the LPN program and decide to transfer over into their RN program their credits do not transfer. They require at the end of each term that you take a Kaplan exam, they do not teach you that material. They provide you with a book and tell you, "its all in the book." If you ask any of the teachers about help with the Kaplan they will all tell you they don't even know what's on the exam. This exam will count as 20% of your final grade! The rules change week to week. I am currently halfway through and plan on finishing only because I don't want to have to start completely over. I chose to go here because you don't have to have any pre requisites to enter the LPN program , just pass their TEAS tests and you're in! I wanted to save time, not money. The whole program is 34K!!!! With that being said, I really expected it to be superior and to run like a "well-oiled" machine. It is so condensed that you are not allotted time to eat or sleep. I give 110% into every day and its never enough. The classes are 5 wks a pc and yes I did sign up to work at a "fast pace" but not "rush through" crash courses. You literally feel like you are going to die trying. They lower the standards to get people in and raise them once they have you enrolled. It is a "bait 'n switch" that they have mastered. If you really want to get an idea of what it's like to attend this school just come spend hàlf a day observing and ask the students for yourself. The best area to catch people (wearing scrubs) is on their classtime breaks right outside in the gazebo."

"The acceleration of the courses are unbelievable. No nurse should take two Pharmacology classes ina 10 weeks period that covers close to 30 chapters. I made it through half of the course and didnt feel like a I learned a single thing. Biggest waste of my GI Bill money yet because theres not a single college that accepts credits from such an accelerated program. Not only that, but people who have graduated cant find any jobs or atleast hold one for very long. You get taught everything you need to know but, with how much material is covered, there is no way to rememeber everything. Your putting every patient at risk. You memorize everything but dont remember everything you need to not kill someone. There RN program isnt even accredited! Now 3 months later, my new school still hasnt gotten my transcripts and are coming after me with bills for a time period when i wasnt even attending. Now im having problems with the VA"

"I'll be as concise as I possibly can be. I have to have a 250 character minimum, so I'm just going to drag this out a little bit. The thing you should know about ECPI is, they're absolutely expensive! I went for the PRN (practical nursing degree) in Charlotte, NC. I attend half of the program. I received the maximum amount of financial aide (Pell Grant), and even after taking every single bit of that, I was still left owing $10,000. That's not even for the full course! I suggest sucking it up and doing classes at a regular community college. It's hard to work when you're in class every day from 0800-1700."

"I went here for three weeks, and I thought everything was great. I was learning new things, I was studying hard, and even made all A's in my first three classes. I was happy with the whole experience, minus a coupe of small things such as an instructor not showing up on the first day of class, and the fact that I was there for three week and never got my scrubs. I thought all was well. I hopped online to look at their reviews for the RN program since I was considering switching over to it, and I saw tons of horrible reviews. I hear that some people couldn't even find employment after they graduated. Credits do NOT transfer. And there is no "bridge program from the LPN to RN. You have to take the whole program over, plus whatever is left. AND pay for it all over again... and it isn't cheap. You have to pay out of pocket no matter what, unless you have GI bill. They want your payments to be like 475 a month and you have to talk them down to make them less. My advisor, Chelsea, pushed me to start the LPN program when I honestly wanted to just start with the RN program. It takes NOTHING to get into this school.. you have to take a FAKE teas test which is ridiculous because it makes it so ANYONE can get in. Even the dumbest of them all. And the teachers definitely hand grades out. One of my classes, the teacher made a study guide that pretty much replicated the test, so all I had to do was study the answers to the questions, and theres my A. This school is such a joke and I wish I would have known before wasting my time. They will make it seem like rainbows and sunshine, but this school is literally a JOKE just to get money. I WISH I WOULD HAVE LISTENED TO EVERYONE! And if you're reading this, please do NOT ignore this. I didn't believe what anyone said at first either and I had to find out the hard way. I talked to the head of the nursing department at VCU Medical Center, and low and behold, they will NOT and NEVER WILL hire ECPI students, and they do NOT recognize their "diplomas" or "degrees". My suggestion to you is to read as many reviews as you can before you register because it will be a big mistake unless you want to go through all that hard work to come out UNEMPLOYED. RUNNN! They just want your money, they don't care about you, or your future."
