"School changes curriculum and grading scale almost every day without notice. Instructors just kill you with power point. Do not ask a question. The DON is very incompetent and demeaning. They changed the Kaplan exit exam score then when students passed the test they wouldn't pay their nursing fee unless they took it again because they had a leak in their system. People loans and government funds paid this school and they can just take people money. Little to they know they all are going down including the program. Some people you just screw over."
Much Disappoint

"Was exceedingly simple to get in, and very quick, also. I should have read reviews, and my experience with ECPI was great until I switched to the RN program. I was impressed with the classes, even though most classes are taught with power points. I changed programs from Massage to RN and it was great, at first. They start off with non-nursing classes, which was just up my alley since I love science, logic, and grades reflecting understanding. The first nursing concepts class was an unguided joke, led by a mostly sarcastic non-teacher. I'll warn you, she didn't even show us non-nursing background students how to take a simple blood pressure. Constant Prep-U's, loads of worthless classroom time, and a quick explanation of everything possible provided no help for me in the struggle I had. Since I wasn't being taught, Youtube was what helped me find a blood pressure. That is the only class I have failed. Took it again. Failed it again. No remorse from the staff, as "the teachers here can't teach everything."--DON, in meeting with Dean, DON, and Assistant DON. I would be VERY cautious when choosing the only available night RN program in the area. It is the only one, but there are MANY online, appropriately labeled Bridge programs that would provide powerpoints and fast tracks, which is their business model."
Worst school EVER

"Horrible school to attend, if you can deal with constant rule changing than this is the place for you. Grading scales would be changed hours prior to tests. I attended the 18 month program and the handbook rules changed 3 times while I was there, not to mention the rules only applied to SOME students and never applied to the staff. The DON is worthless!!! She knows absolutely NOTHING! However the teachers are great, and that is the only thing that kept me here to finish my degree."

"So many people here to complain, as you can tell, some of them seem to need to go back to English class from high school! But that's the typical bunch that come and never finish the program at ECPI/MCI. I personally had a good experience. I did the work, kept up with the demand of the five week program and the result is I came out with an amazing career in registered nursing and have laid the foundation to my career to start building upon all the while, I have this school to thank. Not every single learning experience is the same, I get that, but I sat through the same classes as most of these people complaining about did. My biggest complaint is about the people that come in there wanting their hands held through the program; allow me to be clear, if you are a slower learner, this program is NOT for you. It is what it is. If you decide to take that step and do the work than congratulations, you are not going to have a life for awhile and it's going to suck but I am here as a witness that it is well worth your efforts. Best overall advice I heard about this program is be realistic about your learning style."

"BEWARE! This school is terrible!! The quality of learning is terrible, the teachers sadly don't even know what they are supposed to be teaching. Don't get me started on the Dean and the nursing director!! They are incompetent and tell you whatever you want to hear so that you will leave them alone until the next problem shows up. The financial aid office is terrible! The head of financial aid has the worse attitude problem and is not helpful at all. They just give you a bunch of numbers and tell you what you need to pay without explaining anything about where that amount comes from. Such a disappointment and waste of my well earned money!!!"
