"All they care about is money and will say anything to get you in. I was advised not to put ecpi on my resume as it will have a negative impact on any chances you have to secure a decent job. Do yourself a favor and go for the Cisco or Palo Alto Networks Certifications. It felt like these students were people on work release and they had to do something while they were out and so they went here. Pros: None Zero Nothing Cons: Too many to list"

"Degree I had from ECPI was just piece of paper, not hands on programs, only presentations even not related to subject. I paid money for internship which was cleaning tables at elementary schools and labor work. when I complained they have no answer. I spent roughly 70k within 2.5 years but even couldn't find $9/hour job either placement service didn't help. no help for certifications. I have paid for certification exams. only people get success who already have a job in this field and just looking for piece or paper. after long time jobless I get DCJS armed certified and working as security guard $17/hour. now I am thinking why I got this suffering and spent money instead of doing job at Wal-Mart etc."

"ECPI is a wonderful college. I finished my bachelor's in 24 months. All my prior credits transferred . My military training was counted per ACE credits. I would recommend this college to anyone looking to further their education! If you apply yourself you will succeed. I fail you probably were not ready for college anyway."

"The advertisement says it all, "ECPI University is the best Decision I ever made". I returned to school after being out of the formal education system for 30 years. I was looking for a career change after losing my job in manufacturing after 22 years. I looked at several state schools, and looked at the local technical colleges, none of them seemed interested in helping a 50 year old return to school. I stopped at ECPI for their career discovery day to see what they had to offer. I was greeted by a knowledgeable staff, I felt very comfortable talking to the admissions representative. I was introduced to the faculty and staff for the Computer Information Science program and was immediately impressed with knowledge and background of the staff. I completed two Bachelor’s Degrees through ECPI and the career services staff guided me through the job search process. All of my classmates and I are now employed thanks to ECPI University. I would recommend ECPI University to anyone looking for a great education. Hands on, career focused, excellent education."

"My experience at ECPI was great. The administration was particularly wonderful as they actually explained the financial aid and any other questions you had. Additionally I had a medical issue while attending and they went above and beyond to keep me on schedule to graduate on time. I have since went on to acquire my Bachelors in Computer Science at one of the top rated private colleges in South Carolina. I feel that ECPI gave me a great start and a well rounded education in Information Technology. The hands on portion was exceptionally beneficial and having instructors that had real-world experience that could describe situations from their jobs."

"Before attending ECPI, I already had a BS in a different field. I decided to change my career and attend ECPI. The quality of the education I received was outstanding. The instructors were knowledgeable and went out of their way to help you when needed. There are no shortage of technology resources to learn from. ECPI also has a multitude of recourses to help you attain a job after graduation. I'm proud of the education I received from ECPI and wouldn't be where I am today without it. I highly recommend the University."

"For those of you reading reviews please realize that the large majority of people who've been satisfied with ECPI are not going to post a review of their experiences. I'm sorry for those of you who had bad experiences, and I hope you've all found where you need to be in your lives. I know ECPI has its issues (as does every other university), but don't let these reviews alone stand in your way of attending the university. I recommend taking a personal, more in-depth look at the university before coming to a conclusion. I'm attending the Innsbrook/Virginia campus which is located in a fairly affluent area, so I apologize if my statement seems bias."

"I attended ECPI from 2006-2009 for a bachelors degree in Computer Science. Now, granted at the time this was a new thing at ECPI but a few things happened along the way. I had a class with no book (although I paid for one), an instructor whom I complained about several times because I could not understand him (but nothing was done because he was apparently the only one who could teach those classes), and an instructor who would often not show up (needless to say, I got an A in that class. I graduated feeling a bit like I didn't really learn anything and being told that I'd need to teach myself often anyway. Not my idea of what college is suppose to produce.I did get a job right out of college unlike many of my classmates, but I got into a problem company that only hired me because being new, I was cheap. they fired me shortly before my 3rd year with them. Haven't been able to get another programming job since. I lack experience and most of what they are looking for, I never learned.Toward the end of my time in college I didn't have time to do many of the core projects, but I still passed just fine. I don't think they actually teach anything. Most of the instructors just read from the power point or from the book. Some, don't use the book and it becomes an expensive useless tool. Some of those books are well over 100$.With all the colleges you could choose from and with consideration to how easy it is to get help paying for them, ECPI is a bad choice. Many of the students I attended with had some of the same issues I had and even some instructors. I think ECPI needs to get their act together and add value to their degrees. It's not worth 1000+$$ a class."
