"I first joined Everglades University in January of 2022. I remember talking to an admissions counselor, who had me all fired up to join this university and pursue my dreams in aviation. She made sure I would get to where I needed to be now. If it was not for Everglades, my dreams of joining the aviation industry would not be a reality today. As I was approaching my final classes in my program, I interviewed for a position at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport and was hired as Airport Operations Supervisor. I love my job! The people are very caring, and each day I face the excitement of what will happen. You never know what you are going to get. "I’ve always wanted to fly since I was little. As I became older, planes became a passion which grew into a form of motivation to get more involve. I started attending workshops, lectures, and touring major aviation institutions. I also got my pilot license. "I found Everglades University because my co-worker heard that this school takes students who have their A&P. EU gives transfer credit for FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification. I found the workload and the class schedule is manageable for people who work and go to school. My faculty member Mr. Henry is very personable. He explains the material very well. I am enjoying my class. The Tampa campus has a very tight-knit community. You feel like everything is more one-on-one, so you are actually able to gather more information and learn more."

"When I first came to Everglades University, I had completed 12 years of service in the US Navy and I was looking for a local college with an aviation major. I came across EU through Google and my local Naval recruiter's office. I went on campus in Tampa, was impressed, and signed up for classes right away. Now I'm graduating with a degree that I am proud to have earned from such a great school. Mr. Henry and Dr. Bellamy were the two instructors that have a special place in my heart. Mr. Henry was always warm and inviting during his lectures and his amazing enthusiasm for the field and his experience were really present in everything he taught. I hope to have the same enthusiasm and push as he did. Dr. Bellamy really made class interesting and interactive through the many group discussions and his leadership moments before each lecture. Dr. Bellamy also showed his enthusiasm for aviation, and I liked the fact that he is prior military like me. His lectures are such a treasure to me and my future! Dr. Abby Hamilton and Dean Carlson were the two staff members who helped me succeed or overcome obstacles. Besides Dr. Abby Hamilton being a close family friend, she was the one I turned to whenever I felt anxious about jobs or life itself. She is such a beacon of light through the treacherous waters of college for me! Dean Carlson was such a great leader to me since she was able to help me navigate through the many classes I have to take, and she was able to direct or guide me whenever I had questions about my GI Bill. She was one of the best student and academic advisors I ever had! EU has helped me through life and change it for the better. After the Navy, I had many questions and things I wanted to accomplish. EU had the type of degree that I was looking for and helped me accomplish my dreams of having a job in the aviation field. It also help me a role model for my children in the fact that College is essential to accomplishing your dreams!"

"This was the best university I attended in my studies in Aviation. The instructor was very, very knowledgeable and always communicated and assisted with any questions or concerns I had. The Dean and the staff at the Maitland campus I attended were awesome. They were always very helpful and even called often to check on me to make sure I had everything I needed to get through my courses. They even checked me when I was sick and worked with my instructors to make sure I had a little more time to complete my work. I have recommended this school to several people who have an interest in Aviation studies and even to my employer for potential graduates to hire. I am so blessed to have found this school. It was the best experience I ever had with a university. If I do decide to complete a Masters degree I would return here because of the professionalism of the university."

"I really liked my experience here at EU. I first came here when I was 18 years old because when Hurricane Maria shut down my college in Puerto Rico, my mother wanted me to get my education. She sent me here to live with my grandparents and enroll at Everglades University. I am typically a very social person, but I was quiet here because my English wasn’t good. I will never forget when my psychology teacher taught me the 5-second rule, which helped me stop hesitating before I spoke. That was the start of my confidence, and I have grown up a lot here at Everglades University. "Everglades University is a great school to obtain a degree. The school offers a variety of online degrees that can be all completed from home. I wanted an Aviation Management degree but did not want to have to move locations to attend school. Everglades University makes it super easy to complete a degree online. "I recently completed online courses to attain my BS degree in Aviation / Aerospace (Safety), in 30 months. I never envisioned going to full time onliine classes and making it work while working part-time and then subsequently full-time. If there were any areas I needed help in, the instructor for that area would give me extra guidance. All the instructors had the students best interest at heart and would ensure that they received all the tools required to pass the course of instruction. If I were to continue going for my masters, I would definitely enroll with Everglades University. The Student Services division and staff are totally engage with the students to ensure they don't have any kind of setback towards completing their goals."
