Everglades University Reviews - Bachelor's in Construction Management
Review of Construction Management Bachelors Degrees
I have had a great experience with this school. My classes were online and fast paced. I started a new class every month, but that did not make the classes any less effective. It made me have to work harder to make sure that i understood the subject. I appreciate the instructors for all the help throughout my time here.
Everglades University provided options that accommodated by work schedule so that I could pursue my degree. The program increased my knowledge and credentials in my field of work. The completion of my degree has created opportunities (increase in pay, promotions and multiple job offers).
I chose Everglades as a means to complete my bachelor's degree online because "life" wouldn't allow me the time to attend the state college that I originally attended. From day one, the staff welcomed me with open arms and provided exceptional support throughout my journey all the way to the graduation stage. The professors are very knowledgeable and most are established leaders in the construction industry. My family is forever grateful for the opportunity Everglades University has provided me to advance in my career and increase my earning potential.
I like Everglades because it is small and there aren't as many distractions as in a larger school. Because many of the students are older, we are all serious about our study. I also like that the teachers get to know us so if we have a problem, we know they are there to help. There is a lot of personal interactions here and I enjoy on campus learning more than learning online.
This university has very flexible programs for full time working adults. The faculty and administrators are willing to help students obtain the financial aid and other resources they need in order to be successful. I look forward to continuing my education at Everglades University.
I'm currently attending and so far the experience has been great. Everglades University has a terrific faculty and their input in addition to the course material provides a complete educational program. The exposure to current topics and Industry innovations prepares students for a successful career. The university also has great research resources and easy access.
Great school and great faculty. Enjoyed learning and growing with other students that shared my same interests and experiences. Online classes were challenging and engaging. Learning at your own pace while having to work 50+ Hours per week was a plus. Instructors presented real world experience and feedback.
I work 45-50 hour weeks, have a two year old, and married; I work for an Engineering firm, which requires me to travel. During my time at EU the staff, deans, and teachers have all assisted me through the entire way making it possible for me to maintain 4.0 CGPA. Since, the cost I pay is a large investment, I take ever opportunity to gain as much as I can from the textbooks and the classes. It has served me greatly at work. I believe your experience will depend on your motivation to succeed and get the most out of your college experience. I've previously attended FSU, and the information I have retained at EU exceeds that of FSU. Even when the cost got to be too much when health insurance costs doubled, EU eliminated nearly $2,000 in debt and has helped me obtain grants. EU also provided me a $1,000 scholarship, which I was able to apply for last year. Overall, the university wants you to succeed. For me the cost was significantly less than any other university which offered a BS Construction Management in the online format.
Although Construction Management is one of EU's best Programs, I am very dissatisfied with my education here. I felt that my courses were bogus being incredibly ill material and that my professors have been careless to my questions of concern that I presented to them time after time. I don't feel appreciated as a student due to the lack of constructive criticism to the least on any of the work. It's a horrible school.
This School is a joke. If you have ever been to a traditional junior college or University you will be able to see that this is truly a waste of time. School is suppose to be exciting and challenging in the learning curve but the admissions process and financial aid were more stressful than the actual program in general. And on top of all of it, It is very expensive to go hear. Do not waste your time there are many online programs this is not a top rated school. I am a current student so this is a accurate review not just a post from an upset student. In ten years of going to College never had to work so hard to get direct answers related to what I am doing. Which makes no sense being in another state trying to attend a online university. With financial aid, VA benefits ect, watch out!!!! This money is disbursed quite a bit differently than most colleges. So, don't expect to collect a good portion of financial aid that you are approved for. It all goes to school then you wait for the VA to disbursed their payments. Very different. The few staff members I have spoken with excluding one have been professional and courteous. But overall I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE. Trust me.
