"Farmingdale State College is a great alternative to local community colleges if you are looking for a four year degree program but aren't able to, or don't want to move away from home. Farmingdale offers a wide variety of degree programs from Communications and Visual Communications to Criminal Justice and even Horticulture. The facilities on campus are always improving and during my four years at Farmingdale, I watched the campus transform from one deeply rooted in the past to one that was evolving into something great, a true embodiment of the future of education. I graduated as a part of the 100th commencement class, and was happy to see that many of the 100 year old looking structures at the school had either been torn down and replaced, or were slated to be. Parking can be somewhat tricky unless you attend classes super early or super late, but the campus police are usually very proactive about setting up temporary lots in order to accommodate all of the students and teachers. While additional improvements definitely need to be made on this front, Farmingdale handles the problem a lot better than most local schools, who simply let students fend for themselves and then ticket those who park improperly. As with any school, the professors range from bad to amazing, but there were very few professors that seemed to just not care about their classes at all."

"The professors at Farmingdale state college were very helpful and insightful on the pursue to the medical field. Farmingdale has one of the best dental hygiene programs that was important for me to pursue a career in the dental field. There were always resources for study groups and tutors that are important for students to help with their field of study."

"It is a marvelous school. They have excellent teachers and most advisors are very precise because they want you to graduate. Almost every book is available at the library for students. The people are very friendly. Well personally I don't like the food at the campus center. Well it's up to you."
