"The part time professional second bachelors BSN program at FAU is trash. Currently in it. Nothing but disrespectful communication (or just silence) from administration and particularly the program director, the tuition is high for no actual reason, we have been required to be available during business hours multiple times (this program is specifically for working students), little to no clinical experiences, half of my current class has been assigned clinical on Fridays(?!- again for working students), no senior preceptorships, they have blamed everything on COVID even though other schools in South Florida have not had issues gaining clinical for their students for the past 6 months and the last graduating cohort's NCLEX pass rate was in the 60's. You are better off getting the accelerated BSN or getting your ADN. Literally any other school is better. This program is not worth it and their "caring philosophy" only exists on their website and does not actually apply to their staff or program."

"The administrators of the College of Nursing are extremely slack and do not care about the students. My cohort graduated in 2020 and we are STILL waiting to be verified for graduation so we can start the process of taking the NCLEX. Every other school has their students already registering and we will be delayed by at least another month. FAU has not helped my job selection at all because job opportunities are dependent on my ability to get licensed and because of how delayed everything is at FAU my cohort is missing many opportunities. It is very disheartening to have a college based on caring philosophy be the complete opposite. Additionally, attending FAU did not help me in gaining employment in the slightest. There is no assistance in the job search. I had to learn from other students at different schools the timeline for when I should be applying for jobs. Also, I am a BSN nursing graduate with ZERO experience in pediatrics, ICU, maternal/newborn, ER, step down ICU, NICU, and more. I have no useful experience and did not have a preceptorship/immersion, either. In my experience, FAU has set us up to fail as many hospitals are looking for at least some useful experience and other schools (that cost a FRACTION of the tuition) have worked to give their students these opportunities."

"The nursing program is an absolute joke and I'm sorry I chose this uni over USF. There are several instructors with an axe to grind and who don't want you to succeed. You can be 4.0 all the way through until you get to these instructors. Extremely discouraging and for a nursing program that touts a caring philosophy, they should not have hired this instructor. She has damaged several of my classmates gpa average as well as my own for no other reason than she has a narcissistic personality and doesn't want others to succeed."

"I would absolutely NOT recommend this program for RN-BSN. There are a few professors who are unavoidable within the program and they will kill your GPA for no other reason than they do not want you to succeed. You can be 4.0 until you get to them. There is also alot of favoritism from these few professors towards Caribbean students. One professor does not hide her contempt for the US and Americans and hides behind a veil of "godliness". She has NO business teaching nursing students and FAU should not allow this closed minded mentality in their faculty."

"I went to Florida Atlantic Universtiy for my undergraduate degree in nursing. FAU has a beautiful campus, and the College of Nursing has their own building where all of the classes are held. The class sizes are small enough where you really get to know your classmates and build strong relationships with professors that extend into the professional nursing world. FAU has a strong caring philosophy- an attitude that is essential for becoming an effective nurse. Faculty and staff were always available to me when I had questions and concerns regarding the program as well as clinical nursing. My program was live, no online classes. I was very comfortable in the nursing building, and treated it as a second home during my two years in the program. My classmates and I did most of our studying and group projects there. Before going to clinicals in the hospital setting, I learned assessment and basic nursing skills in the CLA lab which was set up like a clinic for simulations. After I graduated and started my first nursing job, I felt there was so much clinically that I did not know and had to learn on the job. However, I did feel that FAU prepared me for the real world by training me to have a professional mindset, adapt quickly to new surroundings, and become an effective team member."

"When I was in my senior year of high school, it was time to choose the college of my future. People suggested me to apply to the grand, popular schools. I thought to myself "Isn't it the quality of education that is more important than the name?" I am so glad I went with my gut instinct of choosing Florida Atlantic University, as it truly was the best four years of my life. The professors were stellar and personable, the lectures full of thought-provoking ideas, the student body so encouraging of your success. It truly is what you make of it, as everyone has different experiences. However, after seizing every opportunity that came my way at FAU, I can truly say that I made the most out of my time there. I am so proud of being an FAU alum!"

"Absolutely the most unbelievably horrible admission's experience ever. Computer registration process is also bad. Undergraduate professors are all different quality and some could care less. The FAU administration should be replaced. Almost no merit aid so most middle class family pay full cost! You can get a better education at a lower price at almost any other college.."

"The online RN- BSN program at Florida Atlantic University was a wonderful fit with my life. The program was available at my convenience from anywhere. The class outlines were well written and listed a timeline of what to expect and when assignments were due. Online weekly class discussions assisted with learning as well as online group projects. There was as much or as little guidance available as needed and full access to the instructors. The entire program was a wonderful experience."
