Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2018

The Social Work program at Florida Atlantic University was beyond what I expected it to be. I was and continue to be extremely impressed by the faculty in the School of Social Work at FAU. One thing I really appreciated about the program was the level of competence most of the School of Social Work professors had. Many of them were adjunct, so they also had full-time jobs in the field. The most I got out of my courses came from the real-world experiences that were described to us by our professors. The instructors always answer emails promptly and most provide their cell phone numbers in a case that texting them would be appropriate. The staff usually introduce themselves and prefer to be addressed by their first names. I feel as if my teachers at FAU were able to successfully join with and give specialized attention to any student that desired that. My favorite aspect of the Social Work program was the Field Placement. Our last semester consisted of a Field Seminar class once every other week and 400 hours interning at the agency we were placed in. I learned much more than I imagined I would. There are a variety of great options as far as agencies a BSW student at FAU may be placed in. Also, if you are interested in interning in an agency that the school does not have a current contract with, you can contact the field faculty at the school and they may attempt to establish an agreement with said agency, making placement there a possibility.

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2018

The school it self is very nice with immaculate facilities and exceptional teachers, however, there is a vast disconnect between advising offices when a student like me is getting a minor unrelated to my major while also being a part of the University's Honors program. In total, I had 10 advisers over the course of my 4 years at FAU, and I didn't even transfer from a different school. I never had the same adviser twice, and none of them know how to help me.

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2009

I completed my undergraduate studies in Accounting at Florida Atlantic University and loved it so much when I thought about returning to do my Masters degree 8 years later I knew I would it with FAU. The teachers are very knowledgeable with their subjects and there is a diversity of the students attending. They encourage group projects and networking with other students and constantly post career opportunities. After I completed my bachelor degree with FAU, I received a 5% raise with my company and soon thereafter was able to get a promotion due to my experience and my education.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2011

The online RN- BSN program at Florida Atlantic University was a wonderful fit with my life. The program was available at my convenience from anywhere. The class outlines were well written and listed a timeline of what to expect and when assignments were due. Online weekly class discussions assisted with learning as well as online group projects. There was as much or as little guidance available as needed and full access to the instructors. The entire program was a wonderful experience.
