"Florida Career College at the Hialeah location. I started here in 2022 with the Patient Care Technician program, my instructor was very knowledgeable and had a lot of patience. He made my learning experience very easy, hands-on experience was awesome also. We would always work in groups, teaching each other. My classmates were helpful. Once I finished the program, Career Service Specialists were very detailed and helpful with my externship process."

The teachers are thorough helpful but you have to want to learn and be in class. Your education is what you make it work hard study and show up you can make it here"

"Attended college very professional, great classes with engaged teachers. Graduated and working in my field. I would recommend this college. The admissions process was quick and they helped identify the right career field for me to be in. I also liked the customer service from the Financial aid office."

"I decided to go here to become a patient care tech. In the middle of my attendance of this school they changed named and changed the rules of the school, which upset me. But I couldn't quit since I was already halfway Thur it. Then we lost all our teachers (R.N. Nurses) they all got fired or quitted . So when it came down to graduation I was not informed about what was our graduation ceremony date since they only do the ceremony every 3 months . When it came down to the time to take the state test I feel I'm not ready. Yes I could attend more classes but I shouldn't have to . So this Patient Care Tech program was a joke."

"I was told nothing but lies from the beginning. When I started realizing I was being lied to and began questioning them, I was given answers I wanted to hear but had nothing to do with the truth. I had time to quit before I was responsible for my student loans but they convinced me everything would be fine by bringing in previous students who were lucky enough to halfway succeed. It is now time to graduate and I am being told they can't graduate this class as they have no internship and no way of completely the program. I was told I would be a PCT but there is NO such thing, you get a CNA Certification for the bargain price of 16,000 dollars which you could have gotten from any Florida Public Tech School in 3 weeks for 199.00. They do not tell you that you must pass a level2 background check to receive a CNA certificate and when it becomes an issue they tell you (with a smile) that sometimes these background checks fall through the cracks. I suggest you research other schools and run from this one. They only want your money and any instructor who tells you the truth is fired within days."

"I.started classes in 2014 .when i went for interview for enrollment options i was falsly informed of the correct information regarding what i waa looking forward to pursing . Every specific question i had in reqards to what i was looking for was answered in lies.BASICALLY PCT IS ONLY AN 9 CNA CLASS THAT COULD'VE BEEN TAKING IN 3-6 WEEKS ELSE WHERE .CAREER services doesnt help you at all until you graduate and find your own job .they will call ask you information about your job andm ark it down as they helped you.thry only offer you help in finding home health jobs . Its 9 modules and 7 of them repeats information just under a different curriculum name .if you have any question no one answers them thry send you to the next person leaving you still with no answer. They run the good teaches that care away .you get a different set of books each mod and only go over maybe 2 chapter s out of an 50 chapter book only to revery back to one book with all the information. Basically you can teach your self. Upon completion you still have to take an phlebotomy class or challenge the boards for.to be certified in that .you still have to yakemore classes on ekg to get an certification .no one cares its all abiut money to them .p.s RUN FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN"

"Horrible school. Having teachers that have had their RN license revoked and on the displinary board. Classes are a joke, teachers cant control high school students. FINANCIAL AID IS A RIP OFF. None of the administrators "care" like their slogan claims. Tried dropping out but then your threatened with money problems. Wish i knew then what i know now. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!"

"This school at first had lots of structure and organization , after a few passionate teachers were let go, dismissed. due to political stuff the school started falling apart! understaffed and overworked instructors equals no passion towards teaching, and mediocre lessons. They incorporated a new agenda where some students that enrolled earlier than others would alternate taking a week off school, pathic! the faculty were always confused and looked like they had no clue what was going on at their own job.I graduated the patient Care program. and haven't even received my temporary diploma, I received all my certifications .But when will I receive my actual diploma ? who knows ? I sure don't and when I asked no one knows either ! incredible !I participated in a program for students called federal work study it supposedly helps students make a little change while attending college, and from your paycheck you can pay your monthly enrollment from a very small check .The staff members work you to the bone! they are rude , inconsiderate , and when they buy food I was never regarded as a staff member, even though I did all the rough stuff.Lifting heavy boxes and putting up with bad attitudes .They should appreciate the students a lot more! after all we are paying to be enrolled and pay a monthly fee.dignity and respect isn't too much to ask for in my opinion .The classes are too fast paced and you can fall behind quickly, I'm extremely disappointed. and disgusted !"

"I started the PCT program in August 2012 and immediately started running into problems. The students you attend class with are a complete joke. They have no idea of what professionalism is. Their behavior and language regularly depict this. I complained almost daily to the dean about student and instructor content for the first few weeks. After having complained numerous times and finding that nothing was going to change, I stopped and decided to just sit in class with my mouth shut. The instructors are nice folks, don't get me wrong. Yet, they don't seem to have a lot of field experience to offer the student. I also understand that the teachers don't get paid well and therefore just barely participate in class and hardly ever gain control over a disruptive class environment. The information you "learn" in class is a joke. I have ZERO allied healthcare experience and I NEVER paid attention or studied for tests and I still passed with A's and B's. I never read the chapters, I never studied for tests, I was never challenged in my pursuit of higher education. A monkey with an unfortunate mental disorder could pass these classes with their eyes sewn shut! You will "learn" nothing. All the information you learn is nothing more than memorizing and repeating you you were told. The "tests" are nothing a 5 year old couldn't do. If you manage to stay awake in class and copy your homework answers out of the back of your book, you will pass with flying colors.I've been to a few places seeking jobs and these potential employers have no idea what a Patient Care Tech is! You are nothing more than a CNA or a HHA with some extended "learning." You will only be offered jobs in the $7.75-$12.00 range! I know damn well that I did not pay nearly $20,000 to make shit money. The loans I took out for this ridiculous course will take me 7-10 years to pay back. Seriously, if all you want is to be a CNA or HHA, take a weekend class for just a few bucks, take your state exam, and BOOM you will have your license. Don't waste 8 months of your life with this garbage. I told them before I enrolled that I did NOT want to work with geriatric patients, I said I wanted to work in an office helping a doctor. Well guess what, the admissions will tell you anything you want to hear just to get their numbers up. I mean it is a business, but they are not at all interested in your future whatsoever. After completing the course, I find out that all I can do is geriatric work for less that $12.00 an hour. I was told that this course was only aimed at geriatrics and nothing else. If I want to do something else I need to find another program to work on. So now I am studying to obtain my Phlebotimist license so I can make just a couple more dollars and hopefully get a better job. Even then they say they will have trouble placing me in a job for more than $10 an hour. I MADE MORE MONEY THAN THAT WORKING OVERNIGHTS AT A WAL-MART!!! Do your research before you allow someone to steal from you!!!"

"The teachers were good and I did learn a lot. However it was way to much money and the job placement (career services) is horrible. They created a resume for me and it had numerous spelling errors on it. They do not have any leads of companies hiring. They accept any student there, so there was a lot of fighting and drama there. Plus a lot of students speak very little English and it slowed the classroom learning down since the professors had to repeat the material over and over. The people about the loans call you numerous times wondering about the payment, they call me before my payment is even due claiming it is late. At least 6 times I have made a payment before the due date and they still call claiming I never made a payment and that because of this they are sending my account to collections. I have also got letters and email with other students loan information on it because they are very unorganized."
