Excellent experience, excellent school. I wouldn't trade my time at FSU for anything.
Administrative support at my college wasn't great. Guidance counselors and career advisers had no idea what they were doing. However, the curriculum is far and beyond other schools'. I have learned this from interviewing interns at other Florida/Georgia schools and realized that the graduating classes from other schools have half-baked concepts and ideas of learning concepts and even what their major even means.
I loved going to FSU. A few people have ruined the reputation of a great university. FSU has so much to offer students. There are tons of majors to choose from with classes taught by some really wonderful professors. The university has a thriving Greek life, but there are also over 500 other clubs and organizations to join if you don't want to join a fraternity or sorority- honor's societies, skydiving clubs, service organizations and more. You can even help run the campus movie theater. FSU International Programs has study centers in the heart of London, England; Valencia, Spain; Florence, Italy; and Panama City, Panama. They also offer study programs in 11 other countries. I spent a summer abroad in London, and it was an absolutely incredible experience and the program was flawlessly run. FSU also has lots for students to do on campus. There's a movie theater that shows a great mix of classics and recent blockbusters and is free for students. There's a bowling alley, a pottery painting studio, and a club/ music venue in the student union. The FSU School of Theatre puts on top notch shows and musicals. There are two different gyms with tons of group exercise classes and free personal training. Of course, athletics and sporting events are a huge part of FSU, and all games are free to students. I loved going to Florida State. I'm so proud to be a Seminole. I made my best friends at FSU and wouldn't trade my time here for anything. It's a great place to go to college with so many options for every person and interest.
The English Education program was phenomenal. I had instructors that knew me personally and took time out of their day to personally assist me not only with school related projects and assignments, but also with future job placement. The classes and practicums I completed immensely helped me prepare for my job as a teacher and also helped assure that I was in the right field of study for my future career.
One of the most popular campus in the world. Outstanding professional professor and will be a excellent leading experience try it you will love it! !!!!!
Being at Florida State University has been the best experience of my life. I will always cherish this smart decision of coming to this university. Being surrounded by my peers who are striving to make a mark in this world, meeting people through networking, attending life-changing events, expressing great seminole pride has truly changed my life. I have learned how to be a more responsible, hardworking, friendly, and self-determined person. FSU changed my life. Entering college, I never thought I would consider FSU my home, but I am so proud to be a Seminole. I look forward to continuing my education at this university, gaining not only educational knowledge, but life lessons. I know that once I complete my four years at FSU, I know I can conquer any mission I set for myself. My heart will always and forever be at Florida State University.
Wonderful program for individuals eager to learn the studio business and how the film industry operates. The program is mostly Hands-on. Everyone is expected to collaborate and work professionally in their respected jobs on and off set. High stress environment, ability to multitask is a must, and fast paced learning will help you to thrive in the program.
I attended Florida State University from 2003 - 2007 and earned my Bachelor's Degree in psychology. I am originally from Maryland and am very happy with my decision to attend school in Florida. The campus is beautiful, my professors were great, and there were many activities for students to get involved in. There are many options for on campus and off campus housing, which is part of the reason why I chose FSU. Being from Maryland, I knew many classmates who attended University of Maryland and commuted from Annapolis to class or lived in the dorms all four years. I wanted to go to school that was part of a community, which is part of the reason FSU was the perfect choice. I moved all 4 years in Tallahassee, and every location was near FSU, affordable, and well maintained. The traditions at FSU are kept alive by the students and alumni and it is a great feeling to be apart of a school that has high standards and support from the community. We became national football champions this year and the excitement and pride continues to live on campus. The only downfall was I paid out-of-state tuition and although I have been working for 7 years after graduation now, I am still in debt. I currently work for Florida State and am earning my Master's in Public Health.
It was a good fit because I went to a local school - not too far from home and a state school - a little less expensive. It was a good transition from high school to a more independent life/living situation. I found I could draw many parallels from a basic psychology education to the real world and many different industries and jobs. My first job out of college was in Human Resources and it definitely helped me get hired. Use college as a jumping off point in your life. It can transform you - unless you are driven to a specific career - get a broad education and take advantage of as many learning experiences as you can - travel abroad - self - study - internships, etc.
I absolutely loved my college experience! It was somewhere where I didn't know anyone and could completely be who I wanted. The social experience was great and the degree path was great! I certainly would Go where you feel right
