Fortis, like any school, has its mishaps. some teachers suck, others are outstanding! Most of the teachers i have had, have made a genuine effort to help me get through school. You have to put in the time and effort to make it through the classes, but no one at the school seems happy when you fail, just bc they recieve the pay out.

As far as the administration goes, they are having quite a few issues bc of the name change and everything that their doing to get us accedidation. But i strongly believe that they are trying hard to work their issues out for their students.

Like any school, you need to do the research and check the status and background of the school. It's not the place for everyone, but if you're willing to work hard, you will come out on top and be successful in your schooling and in you possible carreer. The school is not a joke. It takes real effort to get through. I would recommemd it!!

Fortis College, Columbus is coming up very good.

The reason why you see some student complaining is because the are not ready to study hard, they still feel like they are still in high school where you will not do a serious reading and still pass their exams.Girls $ Boys grow up, you need to study, before you can pass, this nursing college and not a high school people. Stop castigating the school or the teachers. There might be one or two bad teacher, but not all of them. in fact the teacher are real trying their best.Note that this school is just coming up, and they will get. Rome was not build in a day.

I would NOT recommend this school. I was only there for 1 class and dropped out. From day oneof orientation it was unorganized. I completely understand how college works as I have been to college before, just changing career paths.

Hard work is a must and dedication. However I believe if your paying money, especially the kind of money that I was charged you should feel as if you are being taught something. You are better off going to a bookstore, purchasing some books and learning on your own.

My 1 class that I withdrew from cost me 6000.00 which is a joke. I will continue my career path as a nurse but definately go to a school that I feel actually does something for the money I am PAYING them to do.

Please talk to current students before deciding to go

I just had to withdraw from fortis college in westerville(columbus oh) today. I lost $7,500 but had I tried to continue my education there I would have lost even more. They are UNORGANIZED. They loose everything you give them, currently our teachers were lecturing over the books we had but tests us on books the class before us had. So regardless of knowing the book front to back you could still fail. Their grading method is horrible. And their policys are ridiculous. They are currently trying to kick out people without telling them until the last min. to keep their money. Please do not go to fortis, save your money, and save the stress. Do not make the mistake I did. I am now transferring to Hondros and couldn't be more relieved.

It is poorly managed, and it is run by teachers and the school officals in a disruptive way. Run for your dear life. I had the worst nightmare in this school. They don't have enough clinical sites, and they are biased in their clinical evaluations. It is a horrible school.

OMG!! This is the absolute WORST school I've ever attended in my life! The teachers are young and very unprofessional who like to involved themselves in student mess.

There were at least 3 fights among students since I've been attending. The school has NO SECURITY so of course the students just fought until other peers or even teachers could come and break them up!

The dean is nothing but a joke! He is definately not there to help students! He bangs on desk when he can't get his point across and he doesn't listen to students opinions.

This school is soooo unorganized. Several students are to go on there externship in a couple of weeks but the catch is you have to have at least 4 shots before you can go, well, to school never once informed students at registration or orientation that this would be required!

They waited until 6 weeks before we're to go out to tell us! Not to mention those shots range anywhere from $85 to $165 apiece! Then they tell us, "if you don't have them you will not go out"! Does this sound like a school who cares about their students??? I'm warning you PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND this school! You will regret that you did!!!

Fortis college is the most UNorganized school you could ever attend. You can't trust this school for anything. I advise anyone to not waste their time nor money. I am in the dental assisting program and the teachers are the worst. They aren't even teachers, they have no previous background in teaching.

You will not become certified upon graduation although they tell you that you will when you sign up and pay all the money that you do. Teachers want to speed through the course super fast to have three weeks of sitting around chatting while you should be studying.

I honestly am speaking as a CURRENT student at fortis, please do your research before enrolling to this school. I wish I did. School is an important investment and I would hate to see this school get more and more people to invest their money into this school . You would get a much better education at a regular old 4 year university. It will give you a much better outlook of a REAL college.

This is a great school nothing is misunderstood. It's like they're training for the job market, you know to punctual, do as your asked.

As far as a job though, I have realized that in the paperwork that you sign there is no guarantee of a job, they do help you find one, but they cant make anyone hire you. I liked it though. I received good life skills and career skills.
