"I am a graduate from this school and honestly I'm shocked with this degree that did not get me anywhere and lowered my expectations in a hurtful way, and I feel like it's an obligation that I have to share my unfortunate experience at this place and after: 1. I graduated with more than the actual required credits for graduation, 140 credits instead of 128 (the transferred credits that were ACCEPTED AND APPROVED from a previous school wasn't calculated against my overall studies and surprisingly did not do me anything at all!!!!!!) How come it's thrown in the air?????? 2. I had a full tuition scholarship that paid off all my obligations smoothly, and honestly I believe they mainly were looking at the money by holding me as much as they can to pay these tuitions and keep the money pouring! 3. Since graduation in 2017, applied for more than 10-15 UNPAID internships at the same school that I graduated from and took all my money, but unfortunately NOTHING, not even an email or a call back or a meeting!!! (And I don't have to mention the paid ones applications!) 4. They keep sending me outrageous letters to donate and contribute! while thy don't really care! should I?? I have younger brothers and sisters, and honestly I would never recommend this school to any of them because I took it as a challenge and graduated with less than mediocre outcomes, and instead of being surrounded by academics who are proud of the jobs they're doing!"

"I attended Gannon University, a small undergraduate university, which benefited me because of the small class sizes and individual attention. What I saw, however, was that the small university structure does not allow for many meaningful undergraduate research opportunities. As a graduate student and educator, I believe that there must be a balance between two things needed for a successful educational experience. Firstly, the student must be able to obtain a good theoretical knowledge in the sciences from their professors and coursework. Secondly, and just as important is hands on research experience which enables the student to apply what they have learned through lecture. Hopefully, students also have a chance to present their work at conferences in order to broaden their knowledge and make meaningful professional connections. This is an invaluable way for students to develop their critical thinking skills in preparation for graduate work or enhance their resume for the workplace."

"Gannon University is a school with a culture and environment that afforded me many opportunities to gain quality experience in and outside of the classroom. My situation after college was somewhat unusual for a biology major, because I was offered a teaching position at a private Catholic high school following graduation. However, I believe that the biology department prepared me extremely well for this challenge, because I obtained a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry and physics. I am able to utilize the skills and knowledge that I learned as a student, such as laboratory work and basic coursework, to teach these subjects to high school students. My initial goals were to enroll as a graduate student in a masters in biology program and eventually matriculate as a PhD student. As I am nearing the end of my third year, I have been accepted into a masters program and will enroll in the Fall. Despite graduating three years ago, my adviser and other faculty whom with I formed a relationship during my undergraduate studies wrote me letters of recommendation and supported me during the graduate school application process. It is evident that the professors are able to first and foremost form a strong relationship with students during their education at Gannon, but also are willing to give their support to you as a student and also beyond. As a student at Gannon in the biology department, you will learn the skills that you need to enter into a medical school or other professional programs following your graduation. You are able to emphasize your studies in several different areas of interest within the biology field, which allows you to personalize your curriculum. In addition, the class sizes are small and professors can provide more individual attention, and you can form a small community of students who are taking the same courses as you progress through the major. The faculty are competent and are passionate about their students learning, and have contributed to their respective disciplines and offer a wide variety of research projects for students to gain practical experience in the lab and opportunities to be published. I would strongly recommend Gannon for an undergraduate bachelors of science in biology."

"Gannon was a great university for my master's and did a fantastic job in preparing me for the workforce. It is nestled in a great town-exciting city, quiet and beautiful beaches and state parks."

"Overall, My experience at Gannon left me feeling like the degree I had worked hard to achieve wasn't worth the paper it was printed on, let alone the massive amount of student debt I took on in order to complete my degree. If I had to do it all over again (which I am currently in the process of doing), I would find a career track that has a more proven and accessible track record."

"I loved my time at Gannon in relation to all the friends and faculty I got to know. I made lifelong friends at Gannon. It is such a tight knit community! Greek life and party scene are awesome and Erie is a wonderful little city on beautiful Lake Erie. Only drawback, I don't feel I had great advisors or job placement & counseling help. I haven't been able to land a job in my career and have only worked odd jobs since graduating. Thankfully my husband that I met at Gannon has a job that makes it so I do not need to work, but it is still frustrating because I would like to but have not been able to find anything remotely related to my degree (poitical science)."

"On balance, the MPA program was enjoyable, and the faculty were respectable members of the relevant fields. The most glaring dilemma, however, was the lack of any cohesive graduate student community, within the program or campus-wide."

"Small class size was very important to me, but since I have graduated the class size has grown. I got an excellent degree and passed our final boards with flying colors, so I know I was well prepared. However, getting a bachelors and Masters degree from a private, catholic school, comes with a very heavy price tag."

"Gannon offers a diverse selection of majors and has a very helpful and intelligent teaching staff. I have had little success with their carreer aid services but all other aspects of the network are pretty good. The surrounding area is growing slightly less safe year to year but does offer a lot to do and many transportation options. I feel the education I am receiving at Gannon is slightly over-priced but valuable and I have found the material helpful in the pursuit of my goals."

"Overall, Gannon's Computer Science Graduate Program is pretty good. However, the program is not very conducive to someone working full time and results in a struggle each semester when trying to find a class to take. They offer no online graduate courses and rarely have night classes. There are also no courses offered over the summer months so to try to finish in a timely fashion is close to impossible."

"I feel that this graduate program has a high level of distinguished recognition for the accomplishment and expertise of the faculty and for the experiential learning provided to the students. The program is available to students who start as freshmen and also to those who have received an undergraduate degree, making each graduating class unique and well-versed in many areas of study from biology to engineering to psychology, to music studies. A particular downfall to this graduate program is the quantity of students allowed into the program. While there is no competition for spots in the program once accepted, the sheer amount of students makes it difficult to cover topics as efficiently."

"There are a lot of pros for my graduate program. I like that the last two years of the program contains a lot of clinical work in a physical therapy setting. Gannon University also has body simulators where the body can be set to any type of issue and can be treated to stimulate a real life situation. This program is very successful, which a lot of people get jobs after they graduate. Students have an easy time getting their license, because they are well prepared. The cons about the program is that the tuition is very expensive."

"The Physicians Assistant program is highly competitative and a lot of work. However, it prepares you to take the PANCE and many students are offered jobs before they graduate. You apply as an undergrad and then don't have to deal with the hassel of applying to grad schools your senior year."
