"While it's great to have a master's degree from Georgetown on paper, I would not say it's worth taking the time to go through this program. I was in the Design Management and Communications program at Georgetown University School of Continuing studies; it's new and it's a mess. First, curriculum-wise, they were not able to offer all of the courses listed in time for students who entered the first semester the program was open, so we either had to take classes outside of the program or just delay a semester. Second, they advertise themselves as being ideal for professionals, and many of my classmates were working while taking these programs. However, I don't think the professors were on the same page as what was being advertised. I am all for growth and learning, but I am also all for being realistic. There have been some classes where students are expected to go in depth in designing projects for real companies; additionally, we have to find people who are willing to meet and work with us in regards to their company for our school projects. Being in DC, we are surrounded by many government jobs, where many people are not allowed to share projects due to security reasons. Secondly, when involving people that are not in the program itself, it's very difficult to meet with them on their busy schedule while trying to fulfill project deadlines. In summary, some teachers expect you to meet their deadline while you are trying to work with various external people who you need for your own project. And it's simply really annoying and stressful to deal with, especially if you physically cannot provide certain private information! Next, for one particular core class, you will be forced to go buy various materials to complete silly games. Additionally, even if you follow what the rubric says and complete your assignments, the professor will go out of his way to look for ways to penalize you. Even when taking off points, it will not always be explained why; and even if he does explain why, if you have actually completed everything that he explains about, he will not care nor fix his mistakes. Again, unethical. Overall, I would highly recommend going to another program besides this one. Georgetown may look to have a great reputation, and I am sure for some programs, they're thriving, but for Design Management and Communications, save yourself and look the other way."

"Georgetown was great place to learn and grow. I received an amazing education and made lifelong friendships. The school does an awesome job of helping students meet whatever needs they have as they go through the program, and for that I will be forever grateful."

"Georgetown is a world-class institution in one of the most interesting and powerful cities in the country. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there as an MSB undergraduate student. The MSB undergraduate program is well rounded and integrates well with the other three undergraduate schools. With the core curriculum, you will certainly meet tons of people in your class outside of your school. Extracurriculars are great there, as well! There is a club for literally anything you can think of (and if there isn't, it's really easy to start one). I love that Georgetown does not have a Greek life system - it forces you to make friends with people who have the same interests as you as you tend to meet like-minded friends through extracurriculars. Being in DC is amazing, as well. The neighborhood is really safe and it's easy to get to other places in DC."

"I had a great Georgetown experience, especially within the school of foreign service. The classes offered were pertinent and interesting, and the faculty always available to discuss any topic - whether that be related to their class or otherwise. Multiple professors were very helpful to me when seeking advice relative to post-graduation plans. There were also many opportunities to network!"

"Georgetown University is an excellent higher learning institution. More specifically, the CCT Program does a great job introducing and encouraging students to explore the intersection of communication, culture, and technology as underpin's of society. I've found thus far that the faculty and students have a a great understanding of my own passion for communication and media studies and its importance in a well-functioning society. The staff are equally as helpful and supporting of the ideas and interest of their students. I am eager to continue my study and will definitely invite my peers and income students to take advantage of all it's wonderful resources."

"I was so eager to join Georgetown's PRCC program. However, after taking several courses, I decided to withdraw. The professors were completely disengaged from the coursework (the problem with having instructors who work full-time jobs), the coursework didn't seem relevant to real-world careers, and, ultimately, I felt like it was a waste of A LOT of money. If you have no background in PR or Communications, this program might work for you. But it is positioned as being great for career advancement, and the program administration specifically told me that those with several years of experience would benefit. I had about 8 years of experience going into the program, and I don't think I learned anything new or applicable to my jobs. The problem was not just the coursework but the professors' seeming lack of interest in the material and in their students. I received such little feedback on my work. I actually had one instructor who 1) completely failed to discuss my midterm with me after scheduling a phone call 2) never posted additional readings that the class repeatedly requested and 3) posted multiple grades on quizzes without any feedback or comments, even after I asked. If you just want a master's degree to boost your rsum, I'm confident you could find a better one for much less money."

"Georgetown University is located in a great area of Washington, D.C. that is secluded enough from the rest of the city to be safe but also easily accessible to the rest of DC. There is a great variety of things to do for college students."

"The program offered great education and knowledge, as well as good opportunities for networking and connecting with other peers in the respective areas of interest. Nonetheless, depending on prior education, personal preference, and future directions, finding a job associated with the degree may be difficult, or may offer low salaries. Many students continue to pursue further graduate studies."

"Georgetown University was an great institution to obtain my Master's Degree. It actively assists in helping students obtain internships while completing the program. It is ranked not only national, but also globally in the Sports Industry Management Program, in which I was enrolled. Other programs are highly ranked as well. Loved my experience during my time there."

"Georgetown is absolutely a wonderful place to pursue your undergraduate education. It's not perfect, but it offers plenty of opportunities for both your career and your academic interests. I cannot speak highly enough of the School of Foreign Service (SFS), since the professors there are some of the best you'll find anywhere and are dedicated to making sure their students both understand and enjoy the material. Georgetown offers so much for any prospective student and I wouldn't trade my Georgetown experience for the world."

"The Culture & Politics major (CULP) within the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University is the perfect for students with diverse interests that may not feel like they fit neatly into any of the traditional undergraduate liberal arts majors. I loved CULP because it married an extremely strong foundation curriculum in government, economics, philosophy, history, and foreign language with the freedom to design my own academic path. I chose to study Social Justice and Human Rights and was able to study that topic through a variety of disciplines, including theology, women's and gender studies, anthropology, and international relations. Ultimately, CULP allowed me to tailor my degree to my interests as opposed to making me fit into a pre-constructed degree track."

"Wouldn't trade this experience for anything! My teachers were incredible, my classmates were inspiring, and the opportunities it has provided me after graduation have been endless. I really think there is something to be said about going to a school with such a strong reputation, it has carried me in my post-grad life"

"The best part about MSFS is the tight-knit community it creates. You become part of a "club" whose members comprise people in top positions at Government, Private Sector, and non-profit organizations. There's flexibility in the classes one can take and the teachers are all practitioners in their respective fields. Overall it is a great program and that's why it's been ranked #1 for several years."

"Georgetown was a fantastic school! It offers amazing programs in the social sciences and the location in DC allows you to complete exceptional internships while achieving a campus experience. The school is very professionally geared, so the concentration is highly on networking and preparing you for your career. While classes are rigorous, there is a genuine student body cohesiveness - students are competitive, but not cuthroat. Social life at Georgetown as an undergraduate is great - there is no school sanctioned Greek life, so clubs instead are the main social organizations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Georgetown to anyone interested in the social sciences and international affairs in particular!"
