"I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY MILITARY G.I. USERS! Most of this review is for the "New" Orion technical college, I was in the middle of my degree when all of the faculty under went management change and oh boy did their priorities change from education and the well being of their employees and students, to searching for the deepest pockets. I am a military veteran who came back to college to further education and now being 2.5 years into this school and am exiting, I cannot believe how atrocious the organization is, I might has well stayed in the Marine Corps. This schools curriculum as far as the EET program is concerned is a joke. 1st.) Introduce a subject 2nd.) Get tested on the subject 3rd.) Hands on How are you going to test the students before you have them do anything on the subject matter, that is idiocrasy at its finest. How many times can you get called by your student body asking for the money they owe them? Well lets see I've had 6 yes SIX incidences where the school messed up and I was unable to access my given benefits under Veterans Affairs. And when this issue was brought to their attention (by me because they don't pay attention) they pointed fingers and tried to blame the VA but its clearly the financial personnel from the college, or else the VA wouldn't have said they didn't get my registration for which ever semester nor would NON-VA users be denied their financial imbursements. LIES LIES LIES. I had to pull out loans to be able to afford their mess ups. Very few instructors (most have quit) that are able to actually teach their students. Sitting behind a computer at your desk while your students learn from google or each other is NOT TEACHING, which is seemingly the only thing that ORION has to offer. ORION Technical School is amazing at preparing you for the future if your future entitles you to have a Boss that tells you what to do with the highest expectancy without any context or instructions. Half of the equipment either doesn't work or is missing components, and it seems to be that instructors have the ability to skip sub sections entirely! (Skipped instruction on cabinet wiring, then were expected to complete a project on cabinet wiring in a later semester) GOOD JOB! This school did NOT shut down or change to online during this Distanced period, they offer zoom but have none of the abilities to properly teach. Many COVID19 cases have come up, do they tell us to not come in the next day our classmate tests positive? Nope, but they'll give everyone else a quiz when you were going to get tested which you missed and cant make up. The dean walks around not knowing a single thing about any of the degrees they hand out and insists on adding new UNRELATED things to tamper with our grades. EET is EET leave it alone. How great my grade will look even though I don't know half of the things that were halfway covered in these courses."
