"Harvard Law School offers a wonderful educational experience, a strong network, and a vibrant campus life. It suffers from career myopia."

"My program has a superb core faculty and staff and it offers access to all of Harvard's resources along with other excellent universities in the Boston area. On the other hand, the program is outrageously expensive and offers no financial support."

"This program has been a wonderful learning opportunity. The quality of the faculty is very high and the university's resources are a big plus. The student body is among the best things of the program, you get to know people from different backgrounds and areas of expertise."

"The pros are mostly a function of the self-evident #1 ranking of the school; its reputation and effect on the student's marketability post-graduation. The cons center around the indifference of the program, and especially the faculty, who are primarily concerned with their reputation and standing and less so with the growth and maturation of the students. For this reason, and like most other universities in technical fields, it's a school for honing skills, not for cultivating self-awareness."

"This particular department is not as strong as several other departments in the university. The various sub-disciplines in the department are not well integrated. Focuses primarily on social and physical anthropology. It is not that well organised in terms of physical location, buildings, office spaces etc. The last two issues are likely to be solved next year with new a building coming up and all sub-disciplines will be closer physically. The very urban campus may not appeal to all."

"Pros - Access to wonderful faculty who are very helpful. Some are more accessible than others but overall in my field everybody is super nice. - Great peers and most of whom you will have a great time talking about Economics or anything under the sun Cons - Pressure to match up with your excellent peers and earlier students who have done exceptionally well"

"The Harvard economics PhD program is great training overall. The other students are wonderful, and so are much of the faculty. The downside relative to some other programs is the lack of structure advising guidance after the second year. This is both a blessing and a curse."

"The economics PhD program definitely requires lots of work, but in the meantime, people get very good support from faculty members and colleagues. Most professors are willing to spend time with their advisees and to discuss research ideas."

"This program offers a great environment for students. The living condition is so good that students do not have to worry about a lot and they can concentrate on their academic study. Also, the department is relatively small so that everyone knows everyone and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing."

"The professors are incredibly impressive but also very humble and approachable. The caliber of my fellow students is extremely high and it's exciting to take classes alongside them. My only cons for the program are finance-related. Boston/Cambridge is an expensive place to live and HGSE doesn't have enough financial aid to go around."

"My program is awesome in that sense that there is a small cohort. We start Orientation for this year in a couple of weeks. Overall, I received no real aid besides loans, and I know that I will never be able to make the money back to pay for my loans."
