I love this school, and their education that this has to offer. It is great for women who has a busy schedule, not only working but I'm also a mother of four , full time student, and helping my mother with her apartment complex . This university is very flexible, and the professors work with their students.
I love receiving my education at Herzing because it was very easy to receive assistance. No matter what questions or problems I needed help with, I felt that this school went above and beyond to help me excel in my chosen field of study. I will be forever grateful for the job opportunities Herzing has helped me obtain.
Fast paced, online learning environment allowed me to get my Bachelor degree in three years. They took almost all of my credits from a previous degree through the technical college. Very helpful staff and professors. Any issues or questions I had were cleared up within 48 hours. I am currently thinking of going back for my masters degree.
As a full time working adult, Herzing University was the perfect choice for my HIM degree. With their accredited RHIA program, I was able to go to school full time (online) while working a full time job. After graduation, I was eligible to sit for my RHIA exam, and passed with a high score. I love the faculty and their willingness to help me when necessary. I also enjoyed the interaction I had with my classmates through the virtual classroom environment. All in all, Herzing University made my career goals a reality. I went from an administrative assistant (while in school) to a medical records supervisor (after graduation.) I will always be proud of earning my degree at Herzing!
I completed my degree with Ashworth this year (2015). Overall, I am very happy with my experience with this College. It was very affordable and I learnt allot from the courses. The online tutoring that is offered when you experience difficulties was excellent as well. Completing a degree online is difficult enough especially when you work fulltime and have a family but Ashworth's program of working at your own pace made it easier for me because I was not subjected to a preschedule program or class schedule. I am currently planning on completing my Masters degree and I will definitely be returning to them.
I enjoyed the MBA program and was able to complete it within 14 months with a 4.0 GPA. It was challenging and engaging. The professors were very helpful and quick to respond to my questions and needs. I have referred several friends and co-workers to the school and will continue to refer more.
Great Massage Therapy program. Student financial aid was great. Helpful, knowledgeable staff that cares about you and your goals. Graduation opened the door to a National Exam Committee position. I now have a successful business with 2 locations and 10 other Therapists.
This school is horrible. Not enough staff. They don't help you. You have to beg for answers. They are just so unprofessional.
I first heard about Herzing in the summer of 2012. At that time, I was already out of high school for 4 years and so my priority when looking into nursing schools was time. How fast could I get my BSN and for what cost... I applied to Herzing and took their placement test and registered for classes. At that point it was pretty routine- meet with financial aid, register for classes, tour the building, and sit through a short orientation. So far so good. The first few semesters I had wonderful instructors. Starting from scratch, I had to take my general education classes before I started any real nursing classes. Let me tell you, EVERY single one of those general education instructors (Anatomy & Physiology, Algebra, Pathophysiology, etc) were wonderful. They were all really there for the student and wanted the student to succeed. When I got into actual nursing courses, it's a completely different story. I had THREE different instructors in ONE semester for my pharmacology class... yes, THREE. They all taught with different styles and tested with different styles. One instructor taught us the SAME material for three consecutive weeks. That same semester I had Adult Health 1. That instructor was new to the school, and she literally read from the book every week. She didn't seem to know what she was teaching and tested with old tests she used from her previous job (the job which FIRED her). When to tests, we all failed. And when we would approach her about help, she would blow us off. Needless to say, of the 13 students in that class that semester ELEVEN (yes, 11) of us failed. And of the 11 failures in Adult Health 1, 7 or 8 of us also failed Pharmacology that semester. As you know, 2 nursing course failures means being kicked out of the program at Herzing. So 7 of us (who had no previous problems passing classes) were now out. All of us had appealed using the chain of command there at Herzing and all of our appeals were denied. So for seven of us, we had four long months off. A week or two before the next semester was scheduled to start, the registrar contacted all 7 of us and told us we could come back to Herzing and that the two courses (Pharmacology and Adult Health 1) were going to be paid for by the school. Cool. Most of us returned only to find the same problems- but this time only with Pharmacology. The new instructor taught us at a level of pharmacists. We were not going to pharmacy school nor were we going to be able to prescribe when we were to graduate Herzing. She spoke and taught so fast that most could not keep up and were forced to drop halfway through the semester... putting us all behind again. Don't even get me started on clinical sites. For semester after semester for years, Adult Health 1 would have their clinicals at a rehab facility. It was the worst facility I have ever been to and I've been working as a CNA for 8 years. All the skills we got to practice were never used. Not once was I able to put in a foley or start an IV or change a line dressing. After about 3 weeks we were allowed to pass medications and if you were lucky, your resident would be diabetic and you'd be able to administer insulin. That facility itself was just so disorganized. I would never send a loved one there for care. And because there were no skills to practice, by the time students moved on to med/surg floors of hospitals in Adult Health 2, they were panicked because they didn't remember how to perform simple skills. I currently work with one of the clinical instructors and she tells me that her students have the "deer in the headlights" look when asked to perform skills. She tells me they are unprepared and would not be very good nurses. Herzing does not prepare you well to graduate as a BSN and work in the field of nursing. This last semester- the one that ended Dec 2014- I was again in Pharmacology and failed. During that 16 week semester, I was hospitalized 4 times because of a heart condition and was pregnant. I gave birth two weeks before finals and even came in with my two week old to take the final exams. I failed by 1% and because I was still on "academic probation" from the previous semester's fail, I was again not allowed back into their program. I quickly applied to another university who was very reluctant to have me in their program because Herzing gave me a bad review and told them they wouldn't allow me back into their program. I dumped THOUSANDS of dollars into that school and busted my butt and dealt with their problems with keeping staff and instructors and they don't want ME back?! Please, please, please do NOT go to this school. Do not waste your time and money. Yes, the 2 1/2 year bachelor degree sounds good- but the chance you are done that soon and feel prepared enough to work as a nurse and have a patient's life in your hands are slim. Take the time to get a good education elsewhere. I guarantee you will regret going to Herzing.
I had to change from full to part time to take care of a sick relative. I went and talked to everyone in student support. They said no problem... BULL!!!! I WAS SLAPPED IN THE FACE. I got a notice that I flunked out because I didn't have enough credit for full time. I have been trying to get in touch with Renee herzing but she's avoiding me. I guess she doesn't care about her students. Maybe the bbb would be interested. Everytime I see a commercial, I get more pissed. They are lying!!!!
