Passed first time around but DO NOT RECOMMEND - 2/24/2016

"I don't know about other campuses, but Herzing Orlando's nursing program is awful. As a previous reviewer stated, they do not have their program together and will hold you up from progression during the last semester. They graduate VERY few students. The big incentive to earn your nursing degree at Herzing is the short amount of time in which it can be done. Please take into consideration, however, that one failing class will put you behind at least 4 months (you have to appeal, which can not be done in time for the next semester to start). Then put into perspective that my cohort started with 60 people and graduated 2 in the originally stated time. I do recommend Herzing for your prereqs. They are regionally accredited and you can knock out tons of prereqs in a short amount of time. With decent study skills, those classes are actually normal and doable. Also, watch your financial aid statements carefully. They have a tendency to take more money out than necessary- aka they will use your Florida prepaid instead of other scholarships, etc etc. Watch your statements, ask for clarification if they don't make sense, and don't let them talk you around in circles."

"The Orlando campus does not have it's nursing program together. Do not waste your money going here. In normal nursing programs you are to take practicum and take an exam which means you finished, graduated, and are ready to be licensed. This school added an additional course to block graduation for those they think will bring down their NCLEX passing rate. What this means to you, the student is, you finished the entire program only to be held hostage until you pass this class which are randomized exams or get dismissed. This means you have taken out student loans and paid extra cash for this class and are still not able to take your NCLEXRN. This school only graduates 20 students per YEAR. All other programs are 20 students per semester and still have higher pass rates than this school. This means by instituting this extra course that they do not have faith in their own program they have built. You will be stuck with a large debt without a degree or chance to even prove you have the minimal competency to pass the NCLEX."

"Near the end of the semester and failed a midterm which gave me only two options, one impossible to reach with constant 100% on all exams and papers submitted, or dis-enroll. I met with the dean who at no surprise presented me with the options of going for a Bachelors program meaning getting more in debt or being placed on a waiting list. Wow, I had a 3.9 average and these were the only options presented. I had heard previous rumors last from last years class which were displeased and presented with the same options. I was also told by a state official that this is how state funds are presented to certain programs who have a high percentage of graduates who pass the state certification. So if only four students finish the program and four pass the certification that puts Hertzing at 100 % and they still received all the funds from those who never graduated. Win, Win situation and yet State Nursing Regulatory have no investigated why Hertzing keep students on a year or more waiting list knowing certain material or subject matter will change during this waiting period. Just wondering why no one in the state of Florida has brought this strategically and manipulatively system can continue taking peoples money and provide no reasonable alternatives other than that to which Hertzing currently provides. I'm just a single parent working full time and going to what I thought to be a rated school."

"Excellent school. Great program. I received my Bachelors here as well. The only grip is financial aid is not customer friendly. If they don't really know you, you will wait. I even had an incident where I needed help and was sent a work study to discuss my issue. Not cool."

"Herzing University Is a really great school. I did a lot of research before choosing to go with Herzing. The staff Is very helpful and nice. The instructors are very knowledgable and very helpful. My advice would be to ask lots of questions about everything. They are very good about explaining everything but If you don't understand please ask them. Overall, I Think Herzing Is a great school and I love my program. If you Immerse yourself In the school, you will definitely get the full benefits of the school."

"I felt that the nursing program was intense and prepared me to practice exceptionally as an entry level nurse. I attended the Akron campus and the instructors there are phenomenal! They really do care about the students and their success. I earned my nursing degree in 5 semesters and it has changed my life for the better!"

"Fast paced, online learning environment allowed me to get my Bachelor degree in three years. They took almost all of my credits from a previous degree through the technical college. Very helpful staff and professors. Any issues or questions I had were cleared up within 48 hours. I am currently thinking of going back for my masters degree."

"As a full time working adult, Herzing University was the perfect choice for my HIM degree. With their accredited RHIA program, I was able to go to school full time (online) while working a full time job. After graduation, I was eligible to sit for my RHIA exam, and passed with a high score. I love the faculty and their willingness to help me when necessary. I also enjoyed the interaction I had with my classmates through the virtual classroom environment. All in all, Herzing University made my career goals a reality. I went from an administrative assistant (while in school) to a medical records supervisor (after graduation.) I will always be proud of earning my degree at Herzing!"
