Degree: Licensed Practical Nurse
Graduation Year: 2019
"I am currently in the LPN program at the Orlando campus and I will be graduating October 2019. The first thing that I want to address is my professor. She is very unprofessional. I participate in class discussions, I study hard, know the material and have yet to fail and test and still get treated like a child and disrespected by this professor. Teaching is clearly not for her. Not a peoples person and does not know how to speak to people. Another thing that I want to address is the disorganization this school has. Are clinical instructors changed last minute, last semester our lab teachers changed last minute, and the class is always confused because the professor makes nothing clear and were expected to figure it out or ask a classmate is going to stick it out because I know I can do it. I have tough skin and Im very determined but what I will say is DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. Youre wasting your money and time! If I knew the things I know now I would have never attending this university"

Degree: Medical Assistant
Graduation Year: 2018
"Worst school ever and signed up for the 10 month Medical assistant program and got screwed. Not literally, but a figuratively the school said if I do two classes I can then move on to the medical assistant program. Also, I passed the two classes and was waiting for them to move me on to the medical assistant part, but they never enrolled me. I had to call them and remind them to set up my classes and then the they put me into a two year class. I signed up for the 10 month program and I called them and they said oh, that is part time and that is not what I wanted. Additionally, they set up my classes was in there for three weeks and then the all of sudden they withdraw me from the program. Because I forgot one paper and they try to scam people on your financial aid by claiming that I'm living on campus when I was in a different state doing everything online."

"Great program! The instructors were very knowledgable and really pushed me to the limits of my understanding! I will definitely consider Herzing University when I decide to pursue my Masters degree! I am so glad to be finished with this very difficult course load that will continue to serve me in years to come."

"This school only wants your money. They do not care about your life outside of school. I had a parent Ill then pass which caused me to miss some days of class. I finished my final with a 93.5% and was only .7% away from passing. There was no acception. They failed me."

"I've attended Herzing on-line for 3 semesters now. I have straight A's. When on-line, you have to know that 98% of passing is on you as a student. You have to read. You have to watch the videos. You have to research and you have to write your papers. Personally, I love the hands-off approach that I've gotten so far. If a professor questions something, they let me know and most often will allow you to edit something. I, so far, have had no complaints and multiple professors who have been most helpful when needed. The syllabus is usually perfectly clear about expectations and every assignment has a rubric, which if you follow, you really can't mess up. So far, I've had a great experience."

I made it!!! But oh, how frustrating!!! - 6/4/2018
Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2018
"I recently finished the BSN program at the Orlando campus. First and foremost, it was challenging and I am proud to say that I have finished. Thankfully, securing a job at a local hospital with a degree from this school is easy. Does the school prepare you for the NCLEX and give you the tools you need to be successful? Yes, it does. On the other hand, you have to have thick skin to attend this program. You need thick skin in general to work in the field of nursing so if you are up for a frustrating battle this may be the school for you. I started Herzing in 2015 with my prerequisites and entered the nursing program in 2016. Throughout my course of study the program changed. It was frustrating for me because I recommended the school to others and sadly when they entered the program, the things that I had previously stated to them had changed. I kept my head in the game and continued. I finished the program without having to repeat any courses. The program has a hand full of great professors. Some great ones have recently left as well. The program is also full of professors that are actively working on higher degrees. Sounds good, however, you are not a priority to these professors and your work is not graded in real-time (with the exception of 1 or 2). Despite bad reviews, the bad professors remain and the good ones tend to leave. You will get to know who genuinely cares. Some should be car salesmen because of the song and dance they put on. Remember my comment about thick skin. Just smile and make it out of there. Now that I have finished, let's talk about the customer service. The school prides itself on the P.R.I.C.E. of success model. I'm pretty certain that the P stands for professionalism, the R for respect, and the E for engagement. If the students are made to follow this, then why aren't the professors held to the same standards. As a recent graduate, your emails will go unanswered. Where is the assistance with registering for the NCLEX? It is obvious that there are internal issues going on and the students/recent nursing graduates are suffering. Where is the communication? Where is the customer service? Where is this P.R.I.C.E model that is supposedly followed? I am extremely frustrated as I type this review. I wish it could be better but this school has left a bad taste in my mouth. This is not my first rodeo. I have other degrees under my belt. The corporate office needs to seriously look into what is going on at the Orlando campus. The school has a good reputation at the hospitals and the students get jobs afterwards. However, the amount of unprofessionalism that students have to deal with, while paying good money, is not necessary. So, if you are looking for a nursing program that is challenging, always changing, with kind & caring professors mixed with others that should not be employed, that lacks customer service, a school with poor communication and customer service, but a good shot at getting a job upon graduation, this may be the school for you. If you hear of any other nursing programs in the area that promise a smoother transition into the field of nursing, try there first. The school was convenient for me in terms of distance and I worked full-time for most of the program. I feel happy and blessed to have this degree. Now, if I can only get responses to my emails and get registered for the NCLEX I would be happier. I beg of the corporate office to please do customer service training with the employees of the Orlando campus!!! Do I recommend this school to others? Yes, but with strong reservations."

What color are YOU? - 5/9/2018

"Racism, severely disorganized, unprofessional, higher-ups retaliate against students, lack of resources... I mean the list can go on and on. This school is not worth your time and money. I knew I would be paying a lot to go here, but this school acts just like a fraudulent insurance company; they take all your money and they don't follow through with supplying you with everything you need in order to succeed. Car insurance companies behave like that: you get rear-ended, good luck with getting your insurance company to handle it. It took an act of having a lawyer to get the car insurance to cooperate with me. If you plan to enroll here, please make sure you know of a good educational lawyer in case you need him/her later on. This school is a scam and they will rip you off. They've charged us for software that we aren't even allowed to use. There's already a handful of people looking to sue Herzing University due to negligence and fraud. Steer clear and do not come here. We had great professors and the problem was that if the professors advocated for us students, the Herzing higher-ups would get pissed and retaliate against the professors by firing them. It's the same old s***, different day routine every semester at this campus in Atlanta. They know exactly what they're doing, but they hope we are dumb enough to not realize it. Do you really want to attend a shady school like that? Please run away while you can! RUN!"

"TRUTH: It is a private school that is non-profit so people need to expect the school to be a bit pricey. It's posted on their webpage so UNDERSTAND that is PRICEY. You should have known that this school would be pricey since you have looked into it. First of all, financial services at the school is sometimes frustrating and at times great. It depends on who answers your call or who calls you. Second, the support for online students is tremendous on instructors and IT. You have to reach out to them, not them on you. ONLINE = INDEPENDENT get that through y'alls thick heads. SELF-LEARN??? ummm hello that is why it's an online degree, you the student have to read and understand the assignment, and listen to the presentations the instructors provide you. Honestly, the price you pay for the top-notch instructors you receive is GREAT. Career services- NOT SO GOOD. Sometimes I have more commonsense then tutors, don't use them, it's lame, except for math class hehehe. Turn in the assignments. FINANCIAL AID always goes to you if you have left overs. Herzing does what it needs for its students, if you are online then be it that you an INDEPENDENT student, so have more common sense then just spitting out your nasty experience with one to three teachers or one to five staff of Herzing."
