Herzing University is an excellent college with exceptional staff dedicated to every student. I would recommend Herzing University to any person seeking a college degree! I would like to see the school grow and continue providing educational opportunities all over the country.
I am currently in 6/8 nursing semester with Herzing University. When I first went to get information on the program they made it seem as if the schedules were put together months in advance and we as students would have plenty of prior notice about our next semester schedules. We get our schedules and clinical location sites maybe 1-2 weeks prior to the next term starting. As a single mother this is very inconsiderate, I have my child and daycare that I have to hope has availability on the days I need. The nursing program itself is extremely unorganized. I don't feel as though I am actually being challenged in lecture or in majority of our clinical sites. The only positive aspect is that this school offers fast enrollment. I met with a guidance officer mid December and by January I was enrolled to begin classes.
Save your money and go to a public state university or technical school. The cost per semester is ridiculous with all things considered. There are many online programs now through state supported institutions, please heed my warning and do a thorough investigation of the school that you want to attend. The admissions team is very aggressive at Herzing, especially the online campus.
To be honest I don't have an opinion on Herzing because I have only attended it for about a month. So far I have had a good experience beside the miss communication between admission in the beginning. Since then I haven't had trouble with anything. I am keeping an open mind about this school because I had heard good and bad reviews.
I am an online student studying Insurance Billing and Coding. I am working toward a diploma and will complete the curriculum in 2017. The experience has been great! I am an adult learner, returning to school after 30+ years. The classes are challenging, insightful, and I am confident that when I finish, Herzing will be there to help me find employment in my field. The network of information available online is incredible.
I love that my classes are small. I know most of my professors on a first name basis and feel comfortable asking them anything. it is also very nice that they have all been, or still are nurses in the field. This holds so much merit because they can not only teach from a book, but also teach from experience. My clinical experience has been great and each clinical instructor helps me build my knowledge base just a little bit more. They have all been exceptional.
The school has it's ups and downs. Pros and cons. The school is doing major changes to make the University, it's classes, and the environment better for the students in ways to learn more efficiently and be more productive. There are still things that need to be addressed but the staff and instructors are great.
Herzing is a good university. They are small and there is a lot of support available to each student. The resources are great and each class is laid out so you know what to expect. The advisors are always keeping tabs and offering to help you out. If there is a problem they are always quick to help you out or helpt o find you the right person to answer.
I really enjoy studying at Herzing because the professors are very personable and know you on a first name basis. Also, everybody is there to help you succeed and accomplish your goals! Overall, I believe Herzing is a good University if you want a close connection with your professor and classmates.
I have really enjoyed my time at Herzing- I am set to graduate with my Associates in December and plan to continue to finish with my Bachelors. I like Herzing because of the flexibility of times and on campus vs online. Everyone of the instructors I have had both at campus and online has been a very positive experience. I know that some people are not cut out to do 8 week classes but honestly if you ask questions ask peers seek help you can be a very successful student.
