"The pros of my graduate program is we have small class sizes, excellent skilled teachers, and numerous of networking opportunities. The con for my graduate program is the tuition because it is a private school."

"The faculty have been very approachable outside the classroom, and are always willing to help you succeed. The quality of most of the faculty is good to excellent--there are a few bad apples, as there are in any academic setting. Office of Career Services tries to help with career placement, but most of the time the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in that office. Also, there are few opportunities for students to network with alums and attorneys, or one another (there is a definite lack of interaction among sections). The campus is beautiful, but Hempstead is the polar opposite. The cost of living is outrageous for such a lousy area, and living on or off campus will cost you about $6000/semester."

"Very competitive, not the best record regarding safety and the surrounding area. Not the best resources and teachers are very hit or miss."

"The graduate program is greatly supported by entities closely related to itself. The counseling centers on campus not just service the surrounding community but the Hofstra community as well. In addition, the centers and institutions work together for the greater good of the purposes they serve, whether it be speech pathology, childcare, or marriage counseling. In addition to a great professors and mentors, the administrative staff all around campus are supportive; a true family."

"Wonderful faculty and program, state of the art classrooms and work centers. The art therapy program just recently opened a gallery to host student art on the second floor of their building."

"The staff is very helpful and accessible. Taking public transportation to the school, depending on where you live is a task. The students are helpful and want to see each other succeed. Professor Sample is possibly the schools most precious gem."

"The faculty have been extremely helpful--they are always available to answer any questions, and help in any way they can. Their personal experiences in the field allow them to do a great job preparing you for the field. Classes are interesting and allow all of the students to get involved in discussions instead of sitting through tiresome lectures."

"Overall the education, faculty and students makes Hofstra's Applied Organizational Program extremely valuable. The fact that it also allows you to transfer in 36,000$ in transfer units, as well as work an internship that gives you an opportunity to make great money once you graduate, is totally worth the cost. The New York City experience is like no where else, and Hofstra's network is one of the best in NY."

"Hofstra's school of law is s highly competitive, quality academic program. The school has done a great job preparing me to be a lawyer, something I certainly was not ready to do upon beginning law school. The school does have its drawbacks since Hempstead is not the most wonderful area on Long Island. However, the transportation available and location near New York City is definitely attractive. I am a commuter student and although traffic on Long Island can be frustrating at times, it is usually easy to get to and from Hofstra. It offers a quality social life near campus and its proximity to the city gives students the opportunity to go into the city easily whenever they please. Overall the Law School has been a great experience for me and though there may be some "better" schools in New York, my experience at Hofstra has been extremely positive and I am glad I chose Hofstra as my law school."

"My program is the premedical post bac certificate program. This program is great for individuals that need to take their prerequisites for nursing, PA, dental or medical school. I will start the program in a few weeks. One con would be that there is little to no financial aid for this program, because the classes taken are undergraduate courses and the school is private however the courses and the education you will receive is worth it."

"Pro: Most of the people in the program are out to help one another grow and become better filmmakers. Con: It is a new program so we do not receive a lot of money to help the students."
